First time trying here and was really good. The full Irish was delicious and kept me full for the day! The mushrooms on toast was huge and again lovely. Good atmosphere too and seemed like once someone left a table it was filled in seconds.

I visited the place for the first time today. Had a black Friday burger which was great, soft pudding which I like, even the chorizo that I'm not a fan of was great

Walked in with 4 adults and 2 babies in buggy and was given a table after only a few minutes wait. Service was quick and the food was delicious. We got a mixture of burgers, eggs, pancakes etc. Everything was perfect.

Came here today for breakfast and hands down one of the best breakfasts I've had to date. I went with the avocado toast with poached eggs and it was BEAUTIFUL. The coffee was absolutely amazing too. My bf got the full Irish and it was amazing and no grease whatsoever. Whole layout of the premises is beautiful and open and bright. I absolutely loved the place. Please open a branch in Galway!! Thanks to all the lovely staff too 😀

Had a late breakfast early lunch yesterday. Ordered poached egg on toast with crushed avocado, sauce on side etc. Beautifully presented, fabulous dice on the fresh tomato, perfectly cooked poached eggs, on a slice of good bread. Wasn’t expecting to see little nuggets of cheese on the plate (my hubby can’t eat cheese) as a garnish but they were just right for the whole balance. A coffee should have been part of the deal : only my opinion. Thank you. I’ll be back.

Five Good Things exceeded my expectations and we will definitely be back. My wife got the avocado toast. It was fresh and bright tasting. The poached eggs were nicely cooked. I got the potato hash. This was a very warm and hearty, man's breakfast. It was unctuous, and a very generous portion. I would have preferred the potatoes to be a bit crisp but it was still delightful to eat. Americanos were great flavour coffee. Service was very good.

First time in here in awhile and got the potatoe hash and it was fantastic. Id give it a solid 10/10 not too saucy this time.

The amazing coffee taste and latte art in Drogheda, I highly recommend it. The food service was really slow however worth it. Nice servers, casual and good atmosphere. Fantastic for breakfast, lunch and brunch. Enjoy!

Food was okay. Tastes like frozen things you could get at the supermarket, thrown into a deep fat fryer. Buffalo sauce was tasty. Service was decent too. No salt on the chips, no salt at the table...wouldn't have them again. But €3.50 for a single slim can of diet coke... like who do you think you are, a night club? Sorry, but there are better options in the area. This place has so much potential but lacks execution.

This was a surprisingly pleasant cafe. All of the food options looked great on the menu & the staff were really pleasant. It was a bit busy when we went on a weekend. Prices were reasonable too. Definitely a recommendation if you're spending a day visit in Drogheda.

Menu selection was spot on, service was quick, kind and attentive, food portion sizes could be a smaller but everything was very flavourful. Excellent selection of coffees.

Really nice food! Such a shame this place closes early, because the atmosphere is lovely 🫶 Huge portions too!

Similar to, or maybe slightly better than Relish, which it replaces (3.5/5 green stars) The Highlanes Gallery and café (originally Relish and now Five Good Things) are fave places to visit when in Drogheda. The kind of food served at Five Good Things is not a million miles away from the old Relish menu, so if you liked Relish, I suggest checking out FGT! I went with my brother and nephew and we all enjoyed our meals. I was a bit disappointed in some aspects of my vegetarian breakfast, it has to be said. The veggie sausage and black pudding weren’t very good – the other items on the plate were much better. Easily fixed – pick different options for the sausage and black pudding (if store-bought) or perhaps use substitutes like beans or lentils. I’m also giving Five Good Things 3.5/5 Green Stars for social and environmental impact. • They have a good number of vegetarian options on the menu and I guess some could be made vegan by leaving out the cheese or eggs. • For dishes containing meat, it’s mostly chicken, which has a much lower environmental impact than beef. • Coffee is from Our Boy Bailey (Coffee Perfection roasters) in Dunboyne. 1 kg bags of beans are for sale. It’s hard to find good info on this coffee but it seems that they aim for direct trade relationships with coffee farmers. • Would be nice to know about ingredient sourcing and that kind of thing – the website is very sparse on info. • Coffee travel mugs (keep cups) are for sale, encouraging costumers to do away with pesky disposable cups. Love the food in this place. Delighted to find out it was opened on our new year days drive around town. I had the avo on toast, my partner had himself usual breakfast for brunch.food was tasty and came out fast once ordered. Was busy today and was delay in taking food order but staff were upfront and apologetic. Only thing off putting was a customer seated at table next to us with her wee dog. No lead on dog coming into eating area. She had the dog seated on chair next to her at one stage ( off putting considering dogs paws could have anything on it). Water dish was placed on ground by staff for dog but owner then proceeded to place water dish on table for easy access. we didn’t stay around to see if dog was hand fed from her lap. I love dogs but there is a time and a place. Hard to police and not isolated to here tbh. Overall love the food, staff are lovely but perhaps some basic hygienic rules should be communicated to dog owners when bringing dogs onto premises.
