Great local dinner/bar. Beautiful outside patio to make up for the small amount of seating inside. Tons of German, Polish, and Eastern European comfort food. Chicken Paprikash, peirogies, sauerkraut and cabbage, schnitzel, the options are endless. All the food is made with love. Just make sure you don’t wait around all day, they do sell out of certain items. Can’t wait to come back and try more of the menu

This is not ordinary tavern food. We went for Sunday brunch and were blown away. The sauces that came with the onion ring tower were some of the best I’ve ever had and my Ozark Benedict was fantastic. To top it all off, our server was so kind and helpful. I can’t say enough good things about our experience.

First time back in 35 years or so. Looks pretty much the same. My dad used to tend the bar there in the 1980s when Red owned the place. Lots of great memories. Back then there was limited food. It was a shot and a beer joint. PBR and Iron City on tap. My son and I went there to eat before a Browns game on Monday. Food was fine. I'd go again. Thanks.

Best burger ever 😊

First time visiting Gunselman's Tavern and what a pleasant surprise. When you first enter, Gunselman's reminds you of an old time neighborhood bar complete with the decor and chairs, tables, and definitely the bar stools. Once you "settle in" it becomes apparent there is much more than meets the eye with the extensive menu and beverage selections. The service was excellent and the menu items were exceptional. Definitely look forward to return visits.

We came for wing week for the second time in 2 years. We were NOT disappointed. Loved the service and the atmosphere. Very busy place and we can see why

Food was just okay. Service was great. We had the beer cheese dip with the pretzel. It was great, soft and salted. Warrior burger was okay. I wouldn't rave about the burgers like everyone does. To be honest, it wasn't anything special. Plain burger with cheese and a side of Mac n cheese. Not great. My Christmas ale wasn't good. Nothing special about the drinks here. Just average. I changed my review from a 5 to a 4 because it really didn't agree with me hours later.

Pretty chill. Loved the Bamma White Wings. Stellar sauce, well-cooked wings. Atmosphere was super cool. Course, we sat on the patio. 68° F in Sept and, surprisingly, no yellow jackets!

This place is legendary. Quality food in a classic west side location. Took my family there for lunch. I had the caprese burger of the month and it was excellent! It was slow at first, but they got a big l rush. The server was struggling a bit. But she was working very hard and did a great job. Hard to beat place for burgers and other great dishes. Yes, you get cheese sauce with your fries!

Good 3 for $10 tacos ( I got beef ) and good $4 Margaritas on Taco Tuesday. They need to update their website because it still says $2 tacos. The Westside Kielbasa & Pierogi was good, as was the Lobster Roll sandwich and Fish dinner with onion rings instead of fries.

My friends and I loved it here! I had the BBQ Bacon Burger and I was cooked to perfection. The fries were fresh and the side of cheese was a perfect touch to being the meal together. Our bartender was amazing, friendly, and attentive. Would definitely recommend giving them a shot. Money well spent.

Food is wonderful, lots to choose from and huge portion size! Wait staff is friendly and quick. Their burgers are delicious and they cook to temp perfectly. Most places give you medium or well done when you ask for medium rare, but not here!! They know how to cook a burger how you ask them to that’s for sure. Took my parents from out of town in PA and they already want to come back! Love this place

I specifically went there for the famous burger. The wait wasn't too bad, and we were able to grab a few beers as we waited on a table to be open. The wait was worth the food. The burger was awesome, and the servers were very nice. I will be back for more food and drinks. I did notice the bar started to clear out after dinner hours, so if you did want to try the food without a wait, I would go around 7 pm.

Visiting from DC and my friend and I had the Shrimp Dinner and Pork Chop Schnitzel. Both where fried and breaded perfectly and was delicious. Serving where generous and prices are awesome! Food and service was so good we came back the next day to get burgers! Delicious and would recommend to anyone! Shout out to Donna for the great service!

We stopped for the brunch after our workout to try it and it was amazing! We had a burger and a corn beef hash! Everything was really good. Our drinks were amazing. We had Jack and coke and Bloody Mary Maria!

There are two entrances but the front corner entrance is much cooler! The waitresses are friendly welcoming and easy on the eyes:) Don’t leave here without trying the gunny Brussels even if you don’t like sprouts! I didn’t have any alcohol but their craft beer selection appeared extensive.

The fried mushrooms with the cilantro ranch were very good, however the "burger of the month" July Burger was very difficult to eat on a bagel. It kept sliding everywhere. I did not find that the flavor of the meat was particularly good. Unfortunately despite asking for it to be more rare than medium they wound up cooking my burger well done. I didn't send it back because they were busy. I know a lot of people rave about this place but I just did not find it to live up to the hype I've had better burgers. I will give them a credit on their natural cut fries they definitely stayed more crispy than most places.

My husband and I are celebrating Burger Week by going as many places as possible. Today, we came to Gunselman’s Tavern on Lorain Road in Fairview Park. What a great place. I had not heard of them before this week and I’m happy that you came for lunch. The pictures inside are neat. The tile looking picture is the ceiling and they have posters to honor Burger Week. Their hamburger was a Lil G burger and they were delicious. We had an side order of fries to go with our hamburger, and if you look at the picture, there are enough for at least 2-3 people. My word are they good. The wait staff was wonderful. If you decide to go for a bite, ask for Chelsea. We will definitely be back, not just for burgers. They have a large menu if things to choose from. We recommend Gunselman’s to anyone.

Great coner bar lots of fun

Excellent menu choices. Food is tasty. This Pub has been around for years and it's better than ever. When I moved from Fairview Park to Parma I haven't visited for over 20 years. I'll be back.

Great place to come to. We went on a Sunday. The food was great. Between 11-2 on Sunday is their brunch menu. We got the Hodge Podge. which are potatoes, sausage gravy, and eggs. It was excellent. The sausage gravy had the most sausage in it from any place I've been to. It was loaded with sausage. Excellent. There were 4 of us. Bill came to around 65 dollars for food and a drink. Will definitely go again. Would love to try dinner.

Definitely felt like a classic neighborhood bar environment. It was pretty busy inside, but staff were friendly and attentive and our order came out fast. The menu had a lot of options, including a lot of Eastern European comfort food which I loved to see. Saw the “Pierogi Melt” on the menu and had to order it— how fun! The chicken paprikash was also great. One member of our party ordered the steak sandwich (which was a full steak in one piece on a bun) and unfortunately he said it was super super salty, but other than that we had a good experience.

We've been trying to get in here for awhile but it's always packed which is a good this, we were able to get in finally and we both got burgers, we got the gunny barbecue burger and the guardian burger. Both burgers were good. We got them. Well done so they were a little bit dry but hey that comes with a well done burger. The fries were good. You know the cheese sauce to come with. It will bring you back to your school days of the cheese sauce out of a can that tastes more like water and it's probably not to use but it is what it is. You can choose to eat it or not. The service was a little bit slow just because I think they were short staffed but other than that it wasn't bad. I definitely would go back again and try a different burger so all around it's definitely good place. I would rate it on a burger scale from 1 -10 id rate it a 7.

Really great local bar. Good food, sausages, ethnic food. Good place good people. Can get busy so be prepared to wait. Definitely returning.

First timers here and we LOVED this place! Definitely one of the best if not the best burger I've ever had. So juicy and flavorful. And it comes with cheese dip for your fries?! Are you kidding?! Amazing. The prices are extremely reasonable. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. And the history behind this establishment is wonderful. Can't say enough great things about Gunselman's!

Went for Cleveland Burger Week and the apps and sides were great, the burgers not so much unfortunately. The beef patty was well done and seemed too small for the rest of the burger. This was their Lil' G burger. They do have the Big G which is the same but with one more beef patty. The thought of one more well done patty doesn't make the burger any more desirable to me though. We did get there at the end of a very busy Friday dinner service so that might have been a factor. While the staff were definitely working hard, they were all nice and attentive. The indoor dining area was loud but we sat out on their lovely patio. I'd definite go back if I'm in the area, I'll just try one of their many other meal choices!

Kind of surprised I have not been here before. What a wonderful, wonderful hamburger. The buzz about the burger is completely legit. I had the All-American on the brioche bun. My wife had the buffalo burger. We both said we'd go back again.

Came early for the fish fry. Place was packed. Service was pretty good. Wanted to substitute mac and cheese for French fries. Was told I could only do that with the perch dinner. Got the perch dinner with the mac and cheese. Mac and cheese was really good. Perch was just so-so. All the pieces were uniform in size and slightly dry. Tartar sauce was Bland. Noise level was extremely high. Could not have much of a conversation. Not a place to sit and relax on a busy Friday. When I got my bill there was a $2.50 up charge for substituting mac and cheese. I had not been made aware of that. Expensive place for average food.

My wife and I went there for lunch and the food was great service was good too. I'd give them a five if they'd make there own fries instead of frozen. Had the steak sandwich very good and my wife had a burger all good stuff. If you're out for lunch and looking for a place give them a try. Oh and the prices were good too, not expensive at all.

The food was absolutely amazing! We had the blackened chicken sandwich with fries. My husband additionally had steak soup and Caesar salad. All delicious. It was the best meal out in a long time. Great atmosphere & nice service. We will be back!
