I recently visited this gym, and I must say, I was quite disappointed with my experience. The equipment here is in dire need of an upgrade. Many machines are old, rusting, and chipped, making them not only unsightly but potentially unsafe to use. It's crucial to invest in maintaining and updating the equipment regularly to ensure the safety and satisfaction of your members. Furthermore, the prices for membership are quite high for the quality of the facilities offered. In comparison to other gyms in New Zealand this is insanely overpriced. It's important to provide value for money to your customers. Additionally, I couldn't help but feel that the gym is taking advantage of its monopoly in the area. With no other fitness centers nearby, they have a virtual stranglehold on the local fitness scene. While it's essential for a business to be profitable, it should not come at the expense of the customer's wallet or experience. I hope the gym management takes these concerns seriously and considers making improvements to enhance the overall experience for its members. Investing in new equipment and adjusting pricing strategies would be a good place to start. I would also like to add, my gym partner had bought a protein drink from the vending machine for it to be expired and having chunks in it.

Really helpful owner, let me work out for a work at a very reasonable rate while I was on holiday for a week there. It's not often manned in the morning so call her before you go so she can meet you there. I lift weights rather than cardio so noticed that equipment the most. There is a squat cage and a standard bench. Room enough to do deadlifts and rows but no dedicated area. Shoulder press isn't catered for with a bar as the cage isn't suited but there are dumbbells. Max about 50kg I think. At lunchtime the gym wasn't busy and I could access everything I wanted. There seems to be a good range of cardio equipment and there are classes advertised. The facilities are clean and well maintained, the staff are friendly and helpful when they are there. There's a BJJ dojo out the back too if you want to roll while you're there.

Michael is an amazing person and so positive and encouraging to people of all abilities. He is also an excellent personal trainer. The gym is compact but well equipped and the place has a good vibe. I highly recommend Katifit!

Pretty good gym, they have most of the equipment you need for weight lifting, aerobics, and such. They also host classes and group sessions for cycling and have a few personal trainers available to get you sorted.

Great facilities, friendly staff and a good range of free weights. Visiting from the UK- and saw how highly rated the gym was, reviews did not disappoint. Lots of free weights and cable machines (both pin loaded and a few plate loaded machines.) The staff were friendly and gave us an amazing deal on a week pass. Really accessible from the town, and a fair amount of parking available even at busy times. Would definitely recommend checking it out!
