I recently visited Poole’s while I was in town earlier this week and wow, some things don’t change and in the best way! Poole’s still has one of the best breakfasts in Spokane in my opinion. I ordered the Eggs Benedict like I have in previous visits. Our server was friendly and made sure we were taken care of and happy. Ambiance in Poole’s is sporty, lots of space, and great for big groups. My Eggs Benedict was perfect. Eggs were poached to perfection, toasted English muffin, tasty ham, delicious hollandaise sauce and crispy and hot hashbrowns. Thanks for the great visit, Poole’s!

I was so sad when I was done eating this BLT. I wanted more 😂 Peppered bacon, lettuce, tomato and mayonnaise, served on sour dough bread with a side of sweet potato fries did not sit on my plate for long and it was extremely filling. I was going to eat half and save the rest for tomorrow's lunch but it was too good. I ate it all :-)

Their choice of Burgers is great! The shrimp salad was good according to my daughter, however, it didn't have that "wow" factor for her. Staff was very nice and helpful with menu choices. This place can accommodate large parties of 6 or more at anytime, with indoor and outdoor seating.

Had a great lunch here, it was a bit chilly inside (but cold as heck outside) The place was really busy (It was taco Tuesday), but the server was pretty good about checking on us regularly and was very personable. The food is excellent and they have a great variety of craft beers. My favorite food here is 'chicken wings' (the parmesan/garlic) I just wish they served celery with them. We go to both of Poole's locations on a regular basis, always get friendly waitstaff and good service. We especially like the music on the patio at the South side location.

It has been a while since I had been to Pooles. It was pretty packed for 3:30 on a Friday, but I suspect it was because Pooles has one of the best happy hours. Drinks are 50% off. I tried The Sublime Pine and Coconut martini. The Sublime Pine was better than I was expecting. I had never had gin with pineapple juice before. It was good. The coconut martini was good too, but they had run out of martini glasses, so they served it in a regular glass. The drinks did not disappoint. The bartender did a great job. We didn't order food as the menu was a bit different, and we didn't really see an appetizer that we wanted. Our server was attentive and friendly. We had a good experience and I'd certainly come back again for happy hour. Their happy hour ends at 4 pm, I believe. So make sure you double-check if that is what you're going for. Cheers!

Been away for awhile...Went the last two nights. Thursday and Friday. Great place, great staff and fantastic clientele. Primary Bar Tender...just a good chill guy. Marcus is so cool always remembers me even though I have not been for 6 months or so. Just tonight, my friend and I had a server named Blake who was great! Checked in on us the right times and was super efficient and very nice and upbeat. Oh and the beer selection excellent, the house Old Fashioned is fantastic with Knob Creek. Thanks Pooles! you've got it going on!

My husband and I come to Poole's all the time and love it. Usually the service is good as well as the food, but, Unfortunately this time the experience was terrible. My husband and I brought our son and his fiance to dinner. We sat right away and ordered right away. We waited for over an hour before the waitress said there was a malfunction with their printer (our food was the only food delayed) and our food would be right out with the promise of a big discount. After another 30 minutes we decided to just leave. The waitress stopped and looked surprised that we were leaving and said the food was coming out just then and asked if she could box it up with the promise of big discount. We agreed because we were very hungry. The discount she gave us was $15 off. Ridiculous, that is not even one meal. So we sat in the restaurant for an hour and a half, paid $100 to sit there and eat cold rubbery food when I got home. Highly disappointed.

I was so looking forward to trying Poole's Public House and am so disappointed. There was no wait and the atmosphere was good. We ordered our food and waited 25 minutes without even our appetizer arriving. The server then came back and admitted that she forgot to put in our order, and also didn't remember it, so we had to repeat it. 15 minutes later, the fried pickles finally came and were honestly amazing - the highlight of the meal. When the entrees came, my side was incorrect and my wife's fried chicken was burnt in several places. The clam chowder was very good, but my fish tacos were profusely dripping with oil, so much so that oil was their only flavor. The server brought the bill and barely acknowledged us. It was a really poor experience overall and I really wish it had gone differently as I had really been looking forward to it.

Food was great. Came for the Scotch Eggs and was very happy i did. Service was good and prices were fair. Bloody Mary was good, not too much alcohol but definitely not weak either. Also had the Boneless Buffalo Chicken. It was good well and had good flavor. Definitely enjoyed this place and would come back to try more items.

Oh man, it's been a while since I've been in a pub! But Poole's gets it right. Great atmosphere, great beer and good food! The staff are great too, but I think COVID has got them a little jaded, but that should change in time. I'm definitely not holding that against them and hoping to visit soon.

What a fun place! We were in the area for a basketball game and the weather was so nice decided to stop for a beer. Also, we were there on a Tuesday, one of the specials was beef nachos, so why not! Our server Marcus was friendly and attentive. Ice cold beer, nachos, good company, and outdoor seating make for a great Tuesday night! Highly recommend checking our Poole's Public House.

Busy eatery with a great selection of menu items. There are daily specials too. One of our party of 4 took advantage of the "Wine and Whiskey Wednesday" section. Two of us chose dinner salads and two of us had grilled sandwiches. We were all very pleased with our selections. The waitstaff was attentive and pleasant. So glad our friends took us to experience this place!

We love going to Poole's! We've been 4 times I'm the last 2 months. We went for breakfast it was great, Chicken Fried Steak was super good. Lunch and dinner French dip was amazing and the Rubin was spot on! My husband loved the crab grilled cheese Sami. We had to wait a bit but there was a game on (it's a sports bar) it was busy, but it wasn't too long of a wait. Definitely the place to go for good food and good atmosphere!

Met friends for dinner. Chose Poole's because it had patio dining and located in a neighborhood. A sport's bar with Scottish pub flavor. Ordered a Scotch egg, homemade clam chowder and French dip sandwich. The chowder and sandwich were excellent. The Scotch egg was a disappointment...paper thin sausage and breading. The egg yolk near powdery dry. Two pints of Scotch ale remedied that! The server seemed new but was eager to please. Will go back for sure.

Came for Monday night football, sat at the bar and was basically ignored by the staff. Ordered an appetizer, which was good, and we wanted to order a LOT more, but never had the opportunity. Empty glasses were literally sitting at the edge of the bartenders side of the bar and were looked at several times but we were never asked if we wanted anything else. Bartender seemed far more concerned about filling the few drink orders from the ticket machine than the customers at the bar. Someone was also restocking an already nearly full bottle area instead of helping the bartender or looking around at customers. So disappointed.

Arrived with limited time to eat for a tight schedule we were on but relayed that info to our server and he made it happen. Our food was delicious and our only regret is we didn't allow more time to thoroughly enjoy it and the atmosphere of the place itself. Will definitely come back!

I dined at Poole’s today with my mom. Blake was our waiter and he was amazing on every front. He told us he is new to Pooles’s and this is his first serving position. Blake was a breath of fresh air during these tough times. He was friendly, attentive and on point. We were so pleased to meet him and look forward to coming in again! Great job Blake!!!

My buddy and I went to Poole's Public House after a bike ride and enjoyed a fantastic brunch. The food and service were excellent! I had the Scottie's Hottie omelet, and it was absolutely delicious. To top that off, $5 Bloody Mary's were an added bonus! I highly recommend visiting Poole's Public House next time you are on the north side of Spokane!

This was our first visit, and it won't be our last. We specifically went to try a food we saw from the UK, which they offered. The food was amazing, great variety and came so quick. The service was outstanding, from the minute you walk in to the minute you leave you have someone a glance away. When we arrived the place was packed, but there was plenty of seating, and I never felt unattended. There is the bar side as well as a kid friendly side and outdoor patio, which is nice for those of us with children, as well as a menu with options for both. Being that it was packed, the noise was a bit much for me as I'm hard of hearing and wear hearing aids, we asked our server if it was ok to switch to the patio, some places would scoff at this, but not here. We were helped out side and the service did not drop a bit. Our overall impression was this was going to be one of our new weekends favorites, Thanks!

I've been here many times. The atmosphere is fine but it's usually very loud in there. Staff is fine. Nice selection on their menu. Most of the time I am pleased with my food, but yesterday I was not. The Thai Chicken Salad was way too spicy and had too many green onions. Temper the heat down on the dressing please.

Solid place on the north side. Have been many times. The fried chicken sandwich is excellent and everything else goes from quite good to very good. An excellent staple

I was told pool's had a great breakfast .I was very disappointed. I ordered the sparks omelet it had no heat, and the potatoes were gross. They looked like last night's baked potatoes deep fried. They were very salty I tried 1 and couldn't do it. Biscuits where very hard with on flavor. My husband had the Biscuits and gravy and he could only eat half, not enough gravy for the second one. We will go again too much wrong to fix.

I had the "Turkey Melt" on the gluten free bread, & it was AMAZING, & filled me up😋👍! (Pools is a great place to go watch the game on any of there (15 flat screens) & a mega screen in the middle of the bar for the (BIG GAME/FIGHT)!! It may take a few minutes to get your food, but when you do, (ITS ALL WORTH IT!) IVE BEEN ABOUT 10 TIMES NOW, & LOVED EVERYTHING IVE EVER ORDERED!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!👍👍👍

We love the food and the service is always wonderful. The names on the menu are adorable. They use the names of grand children in the family for sandwiches and what not. It's a very family oriented establishment. Prices are reasonable for the portion sizes. The decor is nice to look at and the atmosphere is very comfortable.

Exceptional pub food experience. Well worth the wait! I'll highly recommend the clam chowder as a side for burgers--its flavorful & delicious (frenched onions in it, yum!). Service was a little slow but it was also super packed, so can't complain. Waitress gave great eye contact and made us feel like she was calm and present with us rather than being run as ragged as she probably was in this busy place. The atmosphere is VERY LOUD. I believe this could be resolved with some baffling in the ceiling to help dampen some of the chatter of other tables. The volume is probably my only gripe, everything else was incredible. I'll be back!

Let me preface with the fact that my waiter Marcus H was phenomenal. Unfortunately, he had to do multiple job roles which I can’t imagine how difficult that was. (Bartender and waiter) Absolutely adored his Mighty Ducks sweater! Very prompt with service and engaging. He ran the show today, that’s for sure. I’m guessing he’s a manager or needs a serious pay raise. The waiter with the beautiful long dreads in the Spokane shirt served the larger group next to us and he was definitely spot on from what I could see. Great job! I hate to leave anything negative however, the food was sub-par at best. Kids grilled cheese: super dry bread, cheese needed to melt a little longer. Gator tots were very over fried. Fish and chips: The batter was mushy and lacked flavor. Needed salt. The cod inside was dripping and watery. I’m not sure how it was prepared but the fish really needed to be patted down/dried off before frying - It would have made a huge difference. It’s very possible that it comes precooked and frozen which is completely out of the cooks hands. Fries were Perfectly cooked which I know came fresh from the cook Alps: burger needed seasoning and lacked flavor all around. Arrived medium well done. The fries were very over fried.. it was basically chips at that point. My margarita was very stiff (No complaints here!!! I needed that!! Thank you!!!) as mentioned earlier, my waiter was right on the ball as I finished to check if I would like another. Overall, the atmosphere was fantastic and I think the choices of food were definitely right up my alley. This place has some serious potential! Just a few things to tweak in the long run. Honest review : 3.5/5

Under staffed tonight so longer waits for food and service… the food was very average and atmosphere was loud this time of day. Owner or manager should sub in to help out maintain service!

The food was GREAT! Honestly. Pleasant eating experience all around. The wait was not long, and the atmosphere was perfect. The wait staff wasn't especially attentive, but there were only two servers and it was a bit packed so I don't blame them. Not sure if it was a particularly busy time, or if they could maybe use a few more hand on deck, but either way I definitely won't let it deter me. I'd recommend this location to friends and will be returning.

The food is really good. We've usually had great experiences here. My only negative is that recently our waitress was a bit rude and to us the staff was way under dressed. We saw some of the kitchen workers and they looked filthy in grungy clothes. They also served us our food which was kinda gross.I think the people who work there should be dressed better than the customers.. and that's not the case. One other negative, the tables are always sticky. If they improved those few things I'd give them give stars 😁 Still one of my favorite places to eat based on the quality of the food.

Loved it. We are from Montana and we knew this place is owned by a former University of Montana football player, so we went there to watch a Montana football game. Atmosphere was fun, food was great (we had breakfast - I recommend the Scotch eggs), and wait staff was super nice and friendly. Good drinks, too.

This place is one of my few lunch spots...then I found out they have really good breakfast. Beers are always served In an icy mug...a must in my opinion. Service is always friendly and courteous. Fried pickles and fried mushrooms are what I come for Everytime. Delicious! Burgers are really good and the beef is locally farmed. Great place. Great job guys!

The food was great and everything was on time, but our server was not very personable. I’ve been in the service industry and understand there are bad days so I’m sure it isn’t a regular attitude for her. We had just been shown to our table by the host and hadn’t sat down yet when she asked what we’re drinking. Throughout the meal she was monotone and seemed annoyed. We will still come back again.

Cool atmosphere, good food. Beers seemed kinda pricey and there didn't seem to be a beer menu but probably a timing thing. I would definitely go back
