Great tasting food that we were served here. We definitely ordered too much, the tandoori mixed grill can feed 2 people. The service was also really great, got given a complimentary snack while we waited. Which was delicious, small potato with turmeric sauce dressing.

Gurkha was an accidental find for us, as the restaurant we were planning to go to was closed. We left Gurkha knowing that we will definitely be back. The atmosphere at the restaurant is very homely. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The service was exceptional. The food was delicious, full of flavour and beautifully presented. Good choice of alcoholic beverages as well. The restaurant has another branch in Musselburgh that has been open for 20 years. We can see why if they offer this level of service and this quality of food there as well. Well done! Booked for 2 of us on weds night, not too busy but enough in for a buzz. Had poppadoms each with chutneys and a curry each, 1 rice and 1 peshawari naan. Food was excellent with my only small critism my chilli garlic chicken was described as hot but it wasn't that hot, however, I do have a hot palette so maybe just me. The chicken was delicious and perfectly cooked, service was excellent and the price with 2 beers and 1 coca cola was just under 50 quid. Staff were friendly and helpful and all had masks on the whole time. All in all just spot on and if I'm here again I'd definitely call back.

Authentic Nepali cuisine. We had Malai chicken and prawn tandoori for starters, garlic naan and chicken biriyani as main course. Personal favorite was the starters and I highly recommend prawn tandoori. As a compliment they gave veg pakora and masala tea which was fab.

highly recommend. Affordable fine Indian dining and authentic tasty street food This is not those typical Indian takeaway places in your neighbourhood. It’s a fine dining place providing a large variety of authentic high-quality food at affordable prices. I extremely like their haggis pakora, and it’s like a wilder version of haggis Bon Bons. We ordered chicken tikka biriyani and their typical lamb curry. The biriyani is extremely flavourful with appetising yellow colours and a fragrant herbal smell. The lamb in the curry is super tender and bouncy, immersed in spicy creamy curry. Sadly I heard this place might actually turn into a takeaway place due to the small number of customers dining in. I hope I tried this place earlier and I highly recommend it to everyone who likes good food.

Day trip to Edinburgh and stopped for dinner. It was a great choice, attentive (happy) staff and brilliant authentic Indian cuisine. Being versed in great Indian food from the great Glaswegian curry houses, I wasn't expecting too much but I was blown away by the food and the attention to detail, for less than I pay in Glasgow! If you love Indian food or want to experience good Indian cooking this is a must go to eatery!

This restaurant always delivers great food. I’ve eaten in restaurant but more frequently get takeaway. Their food is flavoursome and arrives hot ! Their service is excellent, maybe because we are regulars but delivery is fast and tonight we forgot to say no coriander in our regular bhuna order and they called us to say ‘was that with or without coriander’ . AMAZING that we haven’t ordered for a few weeks but they still recognised to do this! Highly recommend to anyone looking for delicious food!

We discovered this new place by chance, and it was an amazing find! From the start it was a great experience: lovely place, welcoming and friendly staff, and a menu with so much to offer that it was difficult to choose what to order. The food was delicious, and the waiter made sure at all times we were happy and needed nothing. From complimentary welcome tasty bites to a sample of after-dinner traditional tea, the evening was fantastic. Did I say the menu was quite extensive? It only means we’ll be back to keep on tasting this gorgeous food!

Gurkha Bar and Restaurant Musselburgh Definitely Recommend... myself and my Partner have visited here on a few occasions and we absolutely love this restaurant. The atmosphere is Vibrant and very welcoming. Here everything is at the top level: kind service, great atmosphere and delicious food in a proper amount. Now i am exciting to hear this new branch restaurant nearest me opening Gurkha Bar and Restaurant Edinburgh City . I will be there very soon new place new atmosphere…

Had few friends invited to try the new branch, it was amazing, we all enjoyed verity of food and nice complimentary Napoli tea. Definitely will be back with other friends. Khalid

No wonder the place was empty before we came, from the start, we were met with condescension and an unwelcoming attitude. The waiter’s behaviour was cherry on the top, exceeding all levels of rudeness. The experience was so bad that we had to leave restaurant even before trying food (bet the food would be stale too because nobody comes here). Ps- I would highly recommend the place we visited after this experience, a Vietnamese restaurant named Saboteur near Teviot, especially their Vietnamese egg coffee is damn amazing!! Everything was so good!! Follow-up- The owner first replies with derogatory comments with mix of abusive words and then like a coward deletes that reply!! Really disturbing and disgusting behaviour!!

Over 28 years of industry experience, Bombay bicycle club restaurant serves proper Dum Biryanis. Must try Lamb dum biryani and Lamb curry. Top notch taste and cool ambience.

Today I visited this restaurant, I came from Italy , the restaurant ambience is very good . I ordered Veg palav,they took 10 mins to deliver. In the mean time I am just listening the music that they played, it’s was very pleasant to listen . Coming to the taste of palav it’s very delicious and main thing is, the restaurant premises is very clean I can’t see any strains .Highly recommended for travelers ❤️
