A tourist destination is a city, town, or other area that is significantly dependent on revenues from tourism, or "a country, state, region, city, or town which is marketed or markets itself as a place for tourists to visit".[13] It may contain one or more tourist attractions and possibly some "tourist traps". Sonamarg ,Kashmir, for example ,is a famous tourist destination in India. Fátima town, for example, is a popular tourist destination in Portugal. Siem Reap town is a popular tourist destination in Cambodia, mainly owing to its proximity to the Angkor temples. The Loire valley, the third tourist destination in France, is a good example of a region marketed and branded as a place for tourists to visit, mainly known for its Châteaux of the Loire valley. A tropical island resort is an island or archipelago that depends on tourism as its source of revenue. The Bahamas in the Caribbean, Bali in Indonesia, Phuket in Thailand, Hawaii in the United States, Fiji in the Pacific, and Santorini and Ibiza in the Mediterranean are examples of popular island resorts. France, the United States, and Spain were the three most popular international destinations in 2017. The total number of international travelers arriving in those countries was about 234 million,[14] contributing 8.9%, 7.7%, and 14.9%, respectively, to the total GDP of those countries.[15] Although some years back, Africa was lean on tourism, the continent is currently regarded as the second fastest growing tourism region with over 67 million tourists visits to Africa in 2018. Ethiopia, with a growth rate of 48.6% in 2018, is at the top of the list of African tourist centers.[16] Other tourist locations in Africa include Cape Town, South Africa, Giza Necropolis, Egypt, The Maasai Mara National Reserve, Kenya, Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe and Zambia.[17] From the tourism industry supply perspective, a destination is usually defined by a geo-political boundary, and destination marketing is most commonly funded by governments. From the traveler perspective, a destination might be perceived quite differently.[

It is a sort of big, and kinda clean place for picnic. Precautions: if you bring your car(if you can.. cause the road is quite narrow around 7-8 feet wide, with hanging tree ledges) or you will find it hard to get a ride after 5 pm. There can be some people who will try to charge you claiming as the authority, try not to pay them, cause we talked to the police, they said these are not necessary and also they are NOT the authority

Once a haven for picnics and tourists, with its green riverbank and lonely atmosphere, the spot is now frequently crowded with loud and obnoxious picnic-goers and tourists with zero regard for environmental preservation. The once-charming atmos of the place has disappeared into a place littered by both humans and trash. I'm sharing pictures which show the riverbank prior to its despicable state.

Falta Riverside gives a vivid touch to the village lifestyle with river Ganges flowing by it. This place is a picnic spot for many tourists in and out West Bengal. People from various districts in WB come here in winter to enjoy the essence and beauty of Maa Ganga. Such is the popularity that many filmstars in Bengal have their own bungalows here 😍🤗💟💙💜💛

Beautiful place, no doubtd. But I'll suggest 2 things. 1. Try to visit here in weekdays to avoid crowd/congestion 2. Try to go after Sunrise or before Sunset. You'll get beautiful nature view in these 2 times.

Hello everyone I think everyone is fine. The Falta River site is a beautiful setting for a picnic. Rooms are available to stay here. The rooms are well arranged to feel the weather of the river. Around 5 km from here there is a cool environment. Every day it is crowded with people. There are toto cars available for river side sightseeing. If you have any problem you can ask me. The Green Nursery and your collaborators Wasim Akram.

It is a great place to visit, but I will not recommend anyone to visit this place on holidays. It gets very crowded and dirty. It's best to go to falta from Raipur ferry ghat. Roads condition is mostly good, so you can enjoy the view while riding. There are many place to stop by in between these places.

Falta River Side is Very natural place to visit. Around 55km from Gariahat. The past historical monuments, such as light tower, small Fort gate at Falta need to be maintained.

Decent and calm place. Soothing winds and beauty of nature. Nice place for a small picnic of families. But it seems young couples have filled this place more recently and cleanliness has gone for a toss.

Wash room not safe. Cleanliness is not upto the mark. Rate is within range. Not enough safe for children. Switching system is confusing to operate.
