Hotel is run by a lovely family. It is located in heart of old town so you can walk around and enjoy. It has a very beautiful court yard with a nice garden. Everything was amazing.

The rooms are spacious, clean, toiletries provided. Comfortable bed. Net in the bathroom. Beautiful setting for breakfast. Great location right next to the old church. Plenty of parking opposite. I would have given 5* if it weren't for the usual Northern Cyprus Euro scam. Price quoted in € at arrival (we didnt pre-book). We asked for the price in Lira, since payment was cash only and i didnt want to use the cash machines that offer € since they charge a high commission! We agreed on a price in TL (not with the owner, but the guy said he wrote it down so its fixed). When we checked out, the owner started calculating the rate in TL according to the current exchange rate, despite already having agreed a price in TL. Unfortunately we encountered this scam all over this part of the island - being quote an inflated price in € and then convet to TL so i can pay in the LOCAL currency. Obviously, they would not do that with non-European tourists...

The guesthouse just opened in December 2019, so everything is brand new and well put together with love and thought. Every room has its little balcony. It’s literally located in the heart of town though in a quite area. And you have the most beautiful view from the breakfast terrace to St. Nicolas Cathedral - homemade jam and honey included. All tourist attractions are in walking distance and a few restaurants and cafes are nearby. A safe parking area is in front of the guesthouse. This house is a wonderful place with very nice, helpful and welcoming owners. I would recommend to everyone.

Honestly, this is a fantastic place to stay—an excellent location inside the ancient city walls—a nice clean, spacious room with a great bathroom. Lovely breakfast and professional but amiable staff. Free and safe parking lot in front of the hotel. We enjoyed our stay here. It is highly recommended!

This was our first time here but it will not be our last. Run by a delightful family it is ideally situated right in the heart of the Old town. The rooms are bright, spacious, clean and modern with lovely bathrooms and one of the best showers I have ever had. Set in beautiful gardens filled with fruit and flowers where the great breakfast is taken. I cannot recommend this place highly enough

I found it at the booking office, but the connection was bad, I remembered the address, I arrived. People, it's 1000%! the rooms are cozy, everything sparkles, Wi-Fi is excellent, looks divine - architecture on one side and the other, there are orange trees in the yard, everything is very well maintained, cozy, the owner was very friendly, nice, gave a map with sights, explained everything. I heartily recommend it, it would be 10 stars straight - I would put it. An amazing hotel in the heart of the city.

So, we dont do corporate uf we can help it. As a small business owner myself, I understand independent privately owned hotels, can give better customer service, sometimes. This is the case with Golden Palms. Hamit, Ertunc and the team, do all they possibly can, to be helpful and accomodating. We are more than happy with the cleanliness and extra services, drinks and food provided. Apologies for the angry review earlier 😀 It is a perfect retreat from the noise and bustle of the University area of Famagusta. Amazing smelling gardens and fresh chickens eggs. Very helpful service from African student Favour, who was helping out. A place of calm and peace, wouldn't hesitate to go back, or highly recommend.

We stayed in several hotels during our stay in Cyprus and this was by far the best. The atmosphere, the location, the room and mainly the paradise garden. Breakfast was incredible, with products made by the family who runs it.

The guest house was run by a very friendly and kind family. Who were very helpful of informing us about Famagusta and it’s surrendering area. The rooms were very clean and modern, and the breakfast was absolutely incredible!

We only stayed 1 night which wasn't enough. The entire place is so relaxing. The hosts are so friendly & welcoming & the rooms are well equipped & spotlessly clean. The breakfast was delicious. Well worth a stay. would definitely come back😊😊

It was indeed a lovely stay. The place is at the very heart of Famagusta, with stanning views over its former cathedral. Totally recommended, clean and with an amazing breakfast.

Just stayed here with friends brilliant place for exploring the old city . Staff very friendly and host couldn't do enough for you . Breakfast was great the room was spotless and the bathroom had plenty complementary shower gel ect.

Charming family run establish with a beautiful garden, fresh vegetables growing around the grounds and a mother hen and chicks. Rooms are large and immaculate. Breakfast includes jams made by Ertunc's mother and sister. Honey supplied by Ertunc's bee keeping family. Hospitality was fantastic. Large free parking opposite premises while the main building overlooks St Nicholas' Cathedral. Reluctant to write such as a good review as I would like to keep this gem to myself but I just have to rave. A full 5 stars from me.

Only just found this place, and wish we'd known about it years ago. Fantastic location, owner can't do enough for you, rooms are immaculate and breakfast was superb. Definitely going back.

Please note I only went to this place as I was in the area to check out the place for a future potential family visit. I found this place lovely and quaint. It is family owned and run. I was shown the rooms which are well equipped with all amenities. Will definitely be paying a visit hopefully later in the year.

Stayed here for 1 night which wasn’t enough. We had an amazing stay. The hosts were very welcoming, and the staff were friendly, attentive, and helpful! The rooms were spacious and very clean. The location is very convenient for sight seeing. I hope to visit and stay with them again. I wish I could give more than 5 stars.

The Golden Palms Guesthouse & Cafe is a delightful establishment nestled between St Nicholas Cathedral & St George the Greek Church The host Ertrunc & family were friendly, welcoming and attentive. The rooms were spacious, clean, bright & airy. As other reviewers have said the shower is one of the best! The buffet breakfast was substantial and also included homemade jams & honey made by family members and breakfast could be taken on the terrace surrounded by beautifully tended gardens. I will definitely be returning.

An oasis between two historical churches right in the center of Farmagusta. Owned by a family for a couple of generations, but with newly built rooms. Breakfast was great as well ;)
