The food is incredible, staff are lovely and the pub itself is very cosy. I had the beef salad starter and I always get the belly pork and I cannot recommend them enough. Incredible chefs they have there

We waited about 45 minutes for our food, but we were told. We had a great meal, so worth the wait. The pub is advertising for staff so if anyone is looking for a job, check it out. Sign of our current times. Staff were lovely. If you have to wait a while, so what. Remember when we were shut indoors, and couldn't go to the pub! Be kind!

Lovely food. Laid back atmosphere. Subtle décor. Rustic centerpieces. Fairly pricey but definitely worth it. Only drawback was some of the waiting staff being a little overbearing at times. I had been meaning to visit here for a long time having heard great things from family members and it lived up to expectations.

Nice atmosphere clean and tidy. The starter was very tasty but a bit too much on the plate , so my main meal wasn't eaten fully. The main meal was very tasty and well presented. Certainly worth another visit

Absolutely amazing! I had chicken with boiled potatoes, salad then chocolate ice cream, but my family had scampi and a roast dinner, everything was so tasty and looked yummy! Children loved the chocolate brownie and ice cream

Met friends for lunch and had an amazing time. The menu was extensive and reasonably priced. Even though it was busy, service was quick. Recommend reserving a table. Good car parking too.

One of the best places I've been in a while! Quite often drive past but today decided to grab some lunch & glad we did. Food was fantastic the staff were lovely. We will definitely be back.

Went not too long ago with family for lunch. I had the Forester's Chicken (basically hunters chicken) which was cooked really well with a generous amount of cheese on top. Chunky chips were lovely too, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Good amount of choice on the menu overall, and the ploughman's that a couple of us had was impressive. Dessert menu has a reasonable amount of choice as well. Decent sized beer garden with tables spaced out and play area to keep the kids occupied.

Great food, good service. The kids love the outdoor play area. Only complaint was the food took just under an hour before it was brought out to us, also we ordered the kids ham egg and chips, there wasn't any ham left so my kid only got egg and chips. But sitting out in the garden is lovely. Staff are good. Will definitely come back.

Well haven’t been here for 15 years and I have to say the food I had was absolutely phenomenal. I highly recommend the slow cooked pork belly it was a stunning plate of food and was lucky to speak to the chef who also had some of his family dining to tell him how much I thoroughly enjoyed eating his food. Staff were also very professional and very polite. Will definitely be dining there again and highly recommend to my friends and family and anyone else who would like great food at reasonable prices.

Yes 5 stars. Food was amazing as we're the staff. We had a party of 15 and the service was seamless but more importantly the food did not suffer absolutely gorgeous.

We quite often visit here, either just the two of us or with the family. This pub is lovely, nice gardens and very good food. The pub is always busy which is the price you pay for a good experience. The staff today worked very hard as the heat was 0verwhelming. always a good welcome and nice atmosphere.

Was a great pub lunch! Although the chicken roast was so small! It felt like they shared the chicken out between 3 dishes. One person from our party literally had less than a 1/4 chicken.

Had a curry in the garden, which was very nice. Average pub prices. Limited car parking but if you get in its well worth it. Garden was comfortable with brollies on every table and staff helpful and polite

Stopped off for a pint and a glass of wine. Plenty of choice and well kept beer. Nice outside space to sit in the sun and enjoy, which we did. Will drop in again.

Friendly staff and good pub. There is huge disparity in portion sizes. Our table of 6 ordered a rib eye, a gammon steak. Both large plateful with chips and salad. 2 pasta dishes - absolutely miniscule, the lamb shoulder, which came out as a shank, and the belly pork, which came out as one slice of dry pork. 4 of us felt short changed when we saw the size of our meals against the other two. Went home feeling hungry. It definitely pays to know what you are ordering.

They call time depending how they feel about number of customers. On this occasion stopped in at 8.50pm on Sunday for a pint to be refused service for a second at 9.15pm. Barman said they call time depending how busy they are. Clearly can't be arsed to let those in the garden know, and for what they charge for a pint these days (£6) closing early really isn't on. OK for food, avoid for drinking. Like most of the locals do these days, sadly.

We recently held a wake here on the same day as The Queens funeral. The staff were very accommodating and polite, and catered for our requests. There were 13 in the group, and all the meals, from fish and chips, chilli, chicken and pies, came out all together, pipping hot. The food was brilliant and the staff were very polite and attentive. I will be coming back again and again, and recommend that you give it a try Jeff

A very comprehensive menu, the Tempura prawns were delicious & the fish cakes were plentiful and very tasty. Main course was Lamb Shank, creamy mash, fresh veg and red wine gravy- superb. Treacle sponge was so light it absorbed all the cream, naughty but nice. Very clean with a friendly,helpful and attentive staff. Plentiful parking.
