Woven Health Clinic

Medical clinic Non profit organization

😠 Worst customer service. I have ever experienced at a medical clinic. Director was rude. She didn't allow me to communicate my concern in regards to the front desk mistake. I was told this place was amazing. I made the mistake trying to pay convenient price of 50.00. I rather give my specialist $16... People often mention care, doctor, appointment, health, clinic, told, office,

I used to be a patient here but quit going because I was hospitalized & when I went to see the Dr & told her what the Dr at Baylor told me she basically made fun of me that the nurse laughed at me & she made me feel dumb.. The Dr here is very rude & impatient & the staff is no better.. They don't even call to remind you of any appointments but yet when you do go they charge an extra fee for rescheduling. Worst experience I ever had at a Drs office & would not recommend.

Terrible policies. My husband had an appointment at 9 this morning. We left at 7:30, and our transmission went out on the way. We started calling the office at 8, hoping they answered phones before the office opened, to reschedule. Kept calling all day, but couldn't get through. There must not be enough people answering the phones. Finally got through about 4:30, and told that even though we were rescheduling, our deposit is forfeit because it's the same day as the appointment. I guess next time our car breaks down, we'll call the day before to let them know it's going to. 👿

Discriminatory towards patients, the doctor wouldn’t even see me after the nurse took my vitals. I don’t have health insurance and I don’t make enough money to make ends meet right now, so this place was my idea of a safe haven. Once I met with the nurse, I had a short exam, only to be told that the doctor would not see me. They said that the doctor would not see me at all, that they wouldn’t even do a health exam because the doctor felt that I wasn’t a fit for them as their patient... she went into detail for why this was but it didn’t make sense. I felt embarrassed, ridiculed, and unsafe. I paid to be seen at this medical office to get lab tests, to check my health, and find a primary care doctor that I could follow up with for physicals. But they made me feel like a gross disgusting person because of certain health issues I have that [ I specified] I am already going to a specialist for. I just wanted a primary care doctor for when I get sick, need blood work, female exams... ect (health checkups). Overall I spent $50 to be told the doctor wouldn’t see me now or in the future. I scheduled an appt 2 months in advance and paid a deposit. If you are not insured, and in need... don’t waste your money. You can pay the same money for a primary care doctor anywhere else.

This clinic is good for those who need low cost care, but they go too far. they will require you to come back monthly for antidepressants and if you miss an appointment they won't refill or even provide any short term refill pending a new appointment. The front office is rude and will not , theybudge Nowand do what they are supposed to do without pressure. That's not patient care have tried to NOT release my records to me in person. I have had to make a stink and be demanding and threaten a medical board complaint to get what is my personal patient information and required by HIPPAA!

This clinic is AMAZING! They have improved A LOT in the past few years! Dr. Barbarita is amazing and really cares for her patients. Brenda is the BEST! You do need to keep in mind they are a Non-profit. Wait times are less than a profit doctor, in my opinion. All there services are great! They do not do walk-ins. They do fill up fast, so call early! I enjoy seeing the Nutritionist, Natalia. She works one step at a time, which is nice. The counselling here, is very helpful! No one in this clinic is racist. The whole staff is diverse! Treat them as you would like to be treated! Recommending this clinic to all friends!

I was dying and Dr. Barbieri saved my life. I was experiencing Menhorragia that others dismissed as normal due to stress, normal as females age, etc. I was experiencing devastating effects of memory loss, inability to speak, etc. I could barely walk and labored breathing when I came for my appointment. Right away Dr. Barberi said it sounds like I was severely anemic, however, let's get the proper lab tests to confirm or rule it out. She explained how Anemia can cause severe damage. The excessive loss of blood and learning why I was experiencing it was key. I was placed on Iron supplement and went to Lab. I was called soon as the results were in to go to my nearest Hospital tdue to my Hemoglobin & Ferritin levels were low-- I needed Blood Transfusions! They saved my life. When I had Insurance other Physicians dismissed my concerns, symptoms and failing health as normal for females or stress. I am still under their care and now able to work again besides recovered from the memory loss, etc. I do have excessive blood loss due to learning Uterine Fibroids are the cause. I am in need of Hysterectomy which they don't do. I don't have insurance to cover it. I don't qualify for any free or subsidized program due to having income. My jobs are contract without healthcare benefits. I will be happy once hired by Employer that provides Healthcare. Many companies have contract only positions to not incur the costs and responsibilities. The Affordable Healthcare with Government isn't affordable for me. Woven provides services for those that are seeking Medical care with Physician and other services of Gynecology, Nutrition, Counselor and more. They have partnerships with Hospitals and more to help give people quality care. If patients before me have issues that require more time I understand that is why the schedule is running late. I understand the policies of cancellation which most offices have. I leave message or email if phones are busy it means people are calling and all the lines are taken. They have great online services now for your appointments! If you have insurance or can afford typical Medical Office that is where you should go if this Clinic is not for you. Remember this NOT FOR PROFIT. Woven exists due to the kindness and grace of caring people that donate, fundraise, get grants, find partnerships and STAFF committed that make less than places that are private, plus volunteers, retired or working medical professionals that are giving back to help people wanting affordable healthcare. I have professional experience every time I go for my appointment. I understand Jesus is multi-tasking and he or whomever is at the desk will call me up to fill out paperwork, etc. I learned about Woven from Uber Driver that worked in healthcare management that relocated to Texas. After layoffs yet in need of healthcare she learned about Woven. Trust me, I know top care and plush offices. I have view that is from also working in Healtcare. The bottom line is they provide quality care for the uninsured and under insured looking for affordable care. Due to the generosity of their supporters and businesses the offices were expanded and remodeled. I am grateful to have their services without paying exorbitant prices. Again, they SAVED MY LIFE. And I am not bankrupt due to the partnerships they have or payment plans with their partners. I wish the best for everyone to find your "good experience" place of healthcare if they don't work for you.

I honestly I liked it at first because they worked with me and it was affordable but because I couldn’t afford the month to month visits and I canceled one I was discharged and I’m not able to go back I feel like that’s unfair but I guess you get what you pay for

I highly recommend this clinic. I recently went there for my Women's health exam and I was really impressed with the staff. The doctor was knowledgeable and thorough. They were great about appointment reminders, and it was only a short wait to see the doctor. If you do not have insurance, don't hesitate to make an appointment.

The doctors are amazing and very caring. I'm very, blessed for being able to be taken care of by an office who really cares about you medically. They have helped me through many health issues and even counseling with challenging life issues. Thanks Metrocrest Clinic you rock!
