While the staff are very nice and the environment is great, I have to say that I have been disappointed by the quality of the pizza at Buddy’s recently. While Buddy's Pizza used to be known for their Detroit Style pizza— thick, delicious slices — I found that the quality has decreased significantly. The slices are now approaching the thinness of New York style pizza. While the pizza still tastes good (definitely not great), it just isn’t the same as what I remember it used to being, and that’s a shame. I hope that the team will work to improve the quality and love that goes into their pizza, and bring back the classic pizza that they are known for.

Ordered take out Eastern Market Veggie pizza with a number of changes like Daiya Dairy free cheese and tomato basil sauce. It's great that they let you sub in the dairy free cheese on any of their pizzas. It was delicious!

First time having Detroit style pizza. Loved it! Dough was nice and fluffy and crispy. Topping were at a good ratio, and the sauce was pretty amazing. We didn't get wheat crust, but our table did, and it wasn't too bad. Not as fluffy as the standard but still good. Would definitely go back and also would recommend them to friends and family.

So this was supposed to be the original Detroit style pizza. So being my first time trying Detroit style pizza Why not start with the original. And boy was I not let down. It was very delicious very tasty and I really enjoyed Pizza. I will highly recommend it to someone else for trying this unique style. As for the atmosphere we sat-in and ate and we noticed immediately that it was a family oriented atmosphere. There were a birthday parties. (Yes multiple parties) There was a gender reveal happening right next to us. (Congratulations team boy.) And of course there were those who were just having a good time. Parking was fine. It was somewhat busy when we got there but we were seated well and we were treated very kindly. I would definitely come back next time. Being my first time they really wanted to make an impression and to be honest they went above and beyond. When they messed up the first pizza they gave me a complementary pizza. WOW... that has never happened to me. Truthfully I would not have known they messed up anyhow but they knew it wasnt their quality and gave me one thay was worth it! That was great customer service.

I live in Houston, but anytime I’m in town for work I go to Buddy’s. The pizza is great and the service has always been good My go to is the Detroiter with black olives and banana peppers.Definitely my favorite pizza spot!

We usually order from the livonia location near my house but this was closer at the time. The pizza was a huge disappointment. Ordered my normal cheese pizza and husbands cheese and pepperoni and both were dry, no flavor, super thin and no color whatsoever. Hoping it was maybe just the person who made the food, but still a bummer when you spend 70 bucks on pizza. (Salad was good and breadsticks were ok) Never thought ordering my favorite pizza at a different location would differ so much. Will stick with the livonia location.

Service was very mediocre if not below average. Went with a large group with a reservation ahead of time, but we’re told that they were out of pizza after nearly an hour wait… Manager was very nice though and did try to accommodate, but the waitress was clearly frustrated and annoyed because we were taking a while to figure out what else we were going to order trying to rush everyone to order because the kitchen was going to close even though we had ordered pizza an hour earlier only to just find out they were out of it. I’ve been here multiple times before and this had never happened. If you have a larger group, avoid this place but it should be fine with a smaller group.

If you know me you know I’m a fanatic when it comes to pizza, but only great pizza, with this being said this has to be the best pizza I have ever had in my entire life. The crust is absolute perfection!!!! The sauce is tangy with a hint of sweetness! The toppings are fresh out of the garden. I’m in town on business from Maryland and we do not have a buddy’s pizza. When I asked the office staff where to go for pizza they gave me this restaurant! You did not disappoint! Hands down the best!

I had the gluten free pizza, it was soft and the crust was tasty, I didn't like the cheese so that was the only negative. They don't carry a lot of gluten free options, but they have some. They have cherry coke! The real stuff, not the one where they mix in grenadine. The service was good. We had a big party with about 25-30 people. We had the back portion of the restaurant all to ourselves, it was nice. For people with difficulty walking, It's a long walk to the restroom from the back of the restaurant so make sure you go before you sit down. We all had to bring cash because it was all on one bill. It made it easier for the waitress and for tipping. If you plan on having a big gathering here, they prefer you pay in cash. The rest rooms could use more care and frequent cleaning.

Ordered a pizza for delivery at 11am, I am 1.7 moles from them, they said 11:43 Door dash guy sends a text at 11:45, they have not started your order yet, really 45 minutes and not started yet, if it were not for the Door dash guy, I would have asked for a refund. JET’s Pizza from now on, it’s better anyway. 12:12 absolutely unacceptable piss poor service.

For being shorthanded they did great . Vegetable minestrone always on point . House salad was great nephews digged the tenders.

My order got messed up but I had a good waiter who fix everything.

Excellent antipasto salad and there is no other pizza like Buddy's. Very delicious. Social distancing and mask wearing are adhered to and the wait staff is super accommodating. My first restaurant visit since February and it was very enjoyable.

My favorite is the Motown museum that I guess with shrinkflation as it seem like I'm really getting any bacon on here so perhaps I'll have to order extra bacon to actually get bacon

Although the Novi location is much closer, the carryout at the Farmington Hills location has been consistently on point, and worth the extra 25 minute drive. "Three strikes and you're out" with Novi carryout location.

Very, very good! My Sister taken us here to Buddy's. This was my first time. I plan on coming back before heading back up North. I had the Buddy's Burger, my girlfriend had the Greek Salad and my Sister had the thin crust pizza. I have had the opportunity to try each. Sorry I missed taking pictures. Too focused on eating. Plate presentation was picture perfect, Service was friendly and welcoming. It just was a pleasant experience.

A party of 10, including two little girls ages five and three, to celebrate a birthday. Our waitress was awesome! She let us take our time, but brought our food promptly after we placed our order. The salads were great as were the pizzas! Always a good experience at Buddy’s!

I ordered a pizza had to wait over an hour for them to tell me they put the wrong toppings and that I had to wait another 30 minutes to get my order right. Terrible service/management. I will never order for them again.

Great when it's right. Peerless quality. But that isn't every time. For instance extra sauce in the order and it comes with no sauce?! It's too competitive in this space and too many options to put up with unforced errors. Edit:. Buddy's made it right in 10 minutes.

Best Detroit pizza hands down. The antipasto salad is wow. Simple but so very tasty. Dine in is fun but carry out is just as good. They've got the carry out down pat. Fast and usually cooked to perfection. My 8 year old always wants Buddy's on pizza night because of the salad. If they had meatballs on the pizza he would insist on it every pizza night

Fun place, takes a while to get seated and takes awhile to get food. I admit the salad needs more, like banana peppers. It is a pretty plane. Pizza is delicious.

Came for early dinner Saturday at 4pm. Waited around awhile for any hostess to show up and notice us standing there. Ordered one 8 slice pizza for $24. Got the pizza 45 minutes later. It was lukewarm and mediocre all around and could have used a few more minutes in the oven. Smothered it in hot sauce and ranch to give it some type of flavor.

My first Buddy's dine-in. Pizza was fantastic. Greek salad was tasty too. Buddy's hot from the oven is much better than reheated take-out. Buddy's beer with grapefruit was also excellent. I'll be back, next time I'm in Detroit.

Usually consistently very good. On occasion, like most places these days, there can be a few issues if they are short of staff. Only a couple of times, the pizza was skimpy with the cheese & the toppings. Same with the antipasto salad. The server might be able to remedy the situation if possible. Prices have definitely gone up. The other day, my friend & I ordered only a medium antipasto salad, which is quite large for 2 people & a small 4 piece pizza to share. The bill before a tip was $38.00. It was very enjoyable. We consumed all that we ordered & we were fine.

The reason you order take out is so you’re in and out. The take out parking has about 4 spots and they have about 10 people trying to park. I had to go around the main parking and then go all the way to the back of the restaurant to get the food. I wish they’d fix and organize the whole parking for take out for better flow. All in all pizza was ok but I couldn’t really appreciate it anymore since the other people getting take out already spoiled my appetite for not giving way for cars already in cue to park.

After the THIRD terrible experience and “credit” of my correct order, I am done! I tried their delivery option after two times with bad carry out experience (arriving at my quoted time and sitting in their parking lot for an additional 45 minutes). The delivery experience was even WORSE. I placed my order at 6:31 for an arrival at 7:49p. It arrived just before 9pm. They delivered a four square but I ordered an 8 square. I called, was placed on hold and an employee hung up. I called back waited on hold for another 13 minutes. They told me that I had to deal with Door Dash to get a refund of my cold and wrong order. I didn’t worker via door dash. My confirmation was from Buddy’s and my receipt is from Buddy’s. The manager, Shannon, was no help... offering to credit me the pizza that I ordered over 3 hours prior! It’s my fault for thinking the 3rd time was a charm.

Very disappointed tonight. They would not my pizza well done and I ordered a order a soup. The charge for the soup was $4 and might feed a child. Stuart

Buddy’s was my go-to pizza since the Conant location was the only choice. But no more. The last 2 times that I had a Buddy’s pizza they were terrible. Almost no sauce, very little toppings, and totally tasteless. It was like eating a poor version of cheese bread. Very disappointed. They have definitely changed the way that they make their pizza.

Had a carryout for dinner. Ordered Antipasto and pizza with pineapple. I'd like to make it known that this is a relatively new owner. Within the past year. So that everyone is aware the new owner skimps on the meat and cheese on the Antipasto. The old owner was very generous with meat and cheese. In order to get the same amount you will need to order additional toppings on the Antipasto. Which of course is an additional charge for each additional topping. As far as the pizza With this new Owner I would give an 8 on a scale of 1-10.

I bought the meat deluxe deep dish pizza. It was utterly disgusting (cardboard tasting/bland) and salty to boot. Bye! Update: changed rating from 1 to 3 stars. The manager did give me a credit to try the pizza at the Dearborn location since they use a gas oven. We shall see.
