This by far was the worst hospital I’ve ever visited. You’ll die before getting service or even to the back to see a doctor. Hospital staff is rude and racist. The security think they’re top the flight. One security guard went to my personal belongings without my consent because I refuse to give him my name. I’ve been waiting four & half hours just to see a doctor. The staff says there are no beds. They treat Caucasians before African-Americans. By far the worst hospital ever I will never be back no wonder the reviews and rating of this hospital is poor as they staff. This is a picture of the Top Flight Security that went through my belonging with my consent directly in front a ppl and a camera

This place should be called “The Waiting Room”, not the “Emergency Room”. There are barely ANY PEOPLE here and we went through triage 2 1/2 hours ago!!! What’s the point of coming to a “urgent” care or add an “emergency” room if they don’t treat your situation like that AT ALL! Secondly, we HAVE to wear a mask, I get it. But I haven’t seen one person wipe down or sanitize a chair, a doorknob, the bathroom or a pen the entire time that we’ve been here. So annoying.! Boo to Beaumont!

It has taken me DAYS to think about this and come up with a calm answer, so here it is. I came in at 3am on a Friday morning, 4/1/22. I was told by the Beaumont Urgent Care on 3/30/22 that I had Covid (spoiler alert - I did not!) so I had to wait in the lobby for about 45 minutes, with one person checking in after me, and getting called back before me. Finally, they called me back around 4:30am. At that time, I met with Dr Chudler, who seemed very skeptical of my concerns and also skeptical of my past medical issues that were in my chart. She asked me who told me I had gangrene in my last surgery and that she doubted it was gangrenous until I told her my doctor (who she acknowledged she knew) did the surgery at Providence Novi. I thought I took it the wrong way until my husband also commented about her attitude. I did not see her again after my husband and I spoke with her initially. After multiple hours of just sitting in the hallway, I was tested for flu and Covid, and had blood taken for testing. (Both Flu and Covid came back negative) Dr Chudler ordered a chest x-ray (due to a "cough" that I didn't even have!) even though it was about lower abdominal issues. The nurses forgot about me - twice. The initial nurse put on a tourniquet for blood, forgot the needle, came back, dropped said needle, then wandered off to get another after that. He gave me a cup for a urine sample. I asked to be unhooked from the IV so I could go to the restroom and fulfill the request. He said “Okay, one moment” and stepped away. 40 minutes went by until I found HIM and asked him to unhook me! After six hours of waiting in the hall, I sent my husband home to take care of our puppy. I saw one nurse after 7am, who consistently told me it was my diet and lifestyle. We NEVER discussed anything I ate that night before (rice and bland chicken, if she wants to know, now). Eventually they gave me a shot of Toradol, told me it was something I ate, and sent me home with a packet to follow up with my primary/a specialist. By the way, my chart said that I am a CURRENT smoker and also that I had an appendectomy. Both of those things are WRONG. I am surprised there aren’t any lawsuits against this hospital. I will not EVER come to this ER, or even the Urgent Care, ever again. I will never recommend Dr Chudler to anyone. I plan on switching all my doctors from Beaumont at this point, too. Thanks for the worst experience of my life. I would give Beaumont 0 stars if I could.

So I give a 3 star to Beaumont because I feel neutral about the care here. A few years ago or whenever Beaumont took over I heard staff quite and the decline in patient care went down. This should not be about only money, but the Quality of care that is give. This hospital use to he Botsford and it was great. Great service, care and they took care of their employees, not that I have ever worked here. While visiting a loved one I couldn't even go into the family lounge while they cleaned the bed because the door was locked (staff mentioned security opens it). Security needs to be on their job. On a positive note, there is a Tech, Darlene who is just absolutely a Gem as well as a Nurse Megan. I always say it's not the place, it's the people who run it and work there who can make a difference.

I have to say, I'm suprised this place hasn't drowned in lawsuits. Today I took a friend to the ER who has an infection from surgery in his groin. We arrived and signed in Dec 15, 2021 at 5:45. It is almost midnight and he is still waiting. This lobby is empty. He has a temp of 103.5. Do you understand how this makes the person feel? Would you tolerate this if it were your loved one sitting here suffering for hours? Not once has anyone let us know what's going on. I hope this location either figures out what Emergency means or shuts down quickly. You're causing more suffering than you alleviate. Edit. We waited a total of 27 hours for a Dr to finally see us for exactly 17 seconds.

There seems to be some racial disparities in pain management in this institution. As a black woman I sat in your institution writhing in pain and I couldn’t even get the decency of seeing a physician. The resident that was sent to assess me belittled my 11 year diagnosis by, saying I was having pseudo MS pain. I am sure the first time I asked for pain medication the doctors ran a MAPS to see if I was a frequent pain medication user. If they didn’t, they should’ve because the search would have come up void. I only use pain medication as a last resort. I only come to a hospital when I can no longer tolerate or manage my pain at home. I understand my very chronic condition, and came looking for relief from intractable pain… only to be treated with the same medication I was taking at home. I would also like to touch on the falsified late entry documentation that paints a picture of me as being noncompliant and disgruntled when in fact the tech removed my IV. I requested paperwork to sign myself out but, like all other requests I was ignored for that as well. The chart paints a picture of the nurse who was doing her job when in actuality I never met the oncoming nurse. There was no hand off or introduction.

DO NOT go to their ER if you have another option. Their ER is ill equipped to handle the most simple of requests: Can you find me somewhere to lay out flat, even if it's in a hallway. Sitting in this chair is exacerbating my problem. Their response: Sorry, you can go sit in the lobby if you want. We don't have any stretchers. Really? A hospital that has no stretchers, gurneys, or extra beds? They are also not able to separate out patients with mental concerns, so you have to sit there and listen to people screaming for hours.

My husband was admitted through emergency. The nurse couldn't insert his IV and decided to make him into to her own personal pin cushion test dummy. He is bruised up and down both arms from 5 attemps. After sitting in my ER for 2 days they final gave him a room. When discharging him they didn't put a quantity on his prescription so the pharmacy couldn't fill the prescription. The pharmacy called the hospital and so did we, no answer or call back from the doctor or a nurse. My husband had to go back to the hospital and get the run around to locate the doctor to get an amount for the prescription. Absolute madness and disorder. If it's a teaching hospital, where is the supervision to teach these people.

My 83 year old mother was admitted to this hospital on Friday June 12, 2020, and was discharged home on Monday June 22, 2020. My mother has a history of serious bacterial infections, and was sent home with a old leaking ileostomy bag. Instead of changing her ileostomy bag, they taped over it, and then taped over it again. Two layers of tape, couldn’t stop her stool from leaking into her open surgery wound. This was shameful and unacceptable! The joy of having my mother back home, was turned into shock, by their lack of care & concern.

Came because my mother is experiencing a traveling pain in her leg that has made it to her groin which has made it impossible for her to walk. She currently has an aortic aneurysm so not knowing if this is a blood clot due to the pain starting in lower leg traveling north and the fact that we have been sitting in this ER for 12 hours without being seen is absolutely insane. Most people would say leave and go elsewhere but she is due for surgery in 2 weeks with the doctors from this very hospital. I would not recommend coming here. They keep saying they don’t have beds. We don’t need a bed we need to be seen and test ran so we can go home to our beds. What difference does it make if she sits in a bed or in the waiting room waiting on test results. This is very shameful and upsetting. A hospital this big should not be this inefficient. It clearly isn’t prioritizing patients so I would not recommend or advise anyone to come here. Extremely dissatisfied with this treatment.

Staff was nice, but nice does not cure problems. Had an emergency issue. Came out of emergency the same way I went in...not knowing anything! Still had problem. This location just want to take a lot of test to bill your insurance. Don't come to this place unless you have no other options!

Wishing it was possible to give negative stars, I would! I have not been to this facility since it was Botsford (I personally always had a good experience at Botsford) and having been a patient at Beaumont's main campus in Royal Oak, with positive experience- I was hopeful this would be the same; I was grossly mistaken. Unfortunately, I had to take my son to the ER department at this location in February 2020, for possible food poisoning and severe dehydration. What a horrific experience this visit was!! The doctors terrible! Attending physician Dawn Zelenka-Joshowitz DO, should not be working there. Resident Lakshmi Rao, DO awful! They ordered tests that were completely unnecessary, because we have insurance just for a money grab. When I said "no" they indicated I could leave AMA(against medical advice) which gives the insurance company reason not to cover visit. We were there much longer than necessary, even the techs performing the tests and the Radiologist indicated the tests were completely unnecessary. When the doctor found no additional money opportunity, she never showed her face again to check on my 17 year old son; they basically pushed us out thre door, didnt go over discharge, nothing! I will be taking this terrible, opportunistic, unempathic, nightmarish experience to a higher level. Avoid this facility if you have another option!!

I was admitted in ER few days ago. The treatment was good 👍. Just a note to the nurses: when I called a nurse to pump out the AIR BUBBLE from the INTRAVENOUS LINE connected to a normal saline into my vein, she said: ITS NOT GOING TO HURT YOU". I told her to call the other nurse. Even the other nurse said the same words. Just a little effort to expel the bubble out will not hurt any nurses than having the patients go through serious complications later in their lives. Any small air bubble entering into your blood system will cause STROKE, HEART ATTACK, ISCHEMIA depending on how it travels and where it ends up as an emboli in the vein or arteries. Please have inservice for your nurses how dangerous an air bubble in your blood stream can be. I'm a nurse by profession. I'm sure no Healthcare professionals can deny the above explanation.

The facility is seriously understaffed. Do you need labs drawn? There’s one.single.person doing everything. Checking people in, registering them and drawing the blood. That’s insane. There’s a skeleton staff. Mid-September. It’s long past time to call more of the laid-off staff back to work.

Still sitting in the "ER" after 6 hours! My husband has had his blood pressure taken twice already while waiting to be seen. We recently asked will we see a doctor before the New Years' shooting starts at midnight and was told "we don't know"! I'm not going to go into details about my husband's illness but apparently it's not serious enough to be seen in the past 6 hours. My brother asked me why didn't we go to a "real" hospital like Henry Ford. I told him my husband's doctor works out if this hospital. We now know, DO NOT GO TO BEAUMONT HOSPITAL IN CASE OF EMERGENCY! YOU WILL NOT BE TREATED LIKE IT'S AN EMERGENCY. My advice is to go to a hospital that treats its patients with respect by seeing them within a decent time frame! NOT 6 HOURS AND STILL WAITING. By the way, several patients have left the ER because of the long wait.

I am concerned- a friend who I have encouraged to wear a mask (since March) visited ER in Farmington a few days ago. At first, rather than telling me the reason for her visit to ER, she pointed out the receptionist didn’t always wear a mask. A person in the waiting room did not wear a mask. And on top of that- one of the two doctors who treated her did not wear a mask. This revelation was disheartening for me to hear. I thought of all places, a hospital would definitely follow the expectation of wearing a mask.

I was admitted for 4 days they tried telling me I had appendicitis. Got the whole surgery team involved then goes back tell me they read it wrong. Then tell me I have covid. Was taken to my own room. I haven’t been able to eat for a week, had chest pains and the day they tried upgrading my diet I went backwards and the doctor came in and basically told me my insurance didn’t cover anymore. Gave me no medicine to go home. Didn’t care at all about the questions I was asking. If I could give them a 0 I would. They basically rack up as much as they possibly could from my insurance and kick me out with no help for transitioning at home. Go to a different hospital if possible

Do not recommend this ER for postpartum women. I felt like the nurses and doctors where completely clueless when it came to a 4 day postpartum patient and it came across like they were using me for practice because they didn't want to admit they didn't know what to do. It seemed like they were afraid of asking Labor and Delivery for help. When the labor and delivery doctor finally arrived after hours of being there, the L&D doctor said they should have been contacted sooner. The ER doctor also had terrible bedside manner and scared me at an already stressful time. She is not my primary and had the nerve to assume my medical history without even knowing me. Out of no where, she told me I could die at the drop of a hat (her words exactly). She told me this while they were trying to monitor my blood pressure and then had the nerve to point out my blood pressure was high for an unknown reason. She caused the high blood pressure. I told my primary about it and she was shocked about the whole experience. All of my previous doctors who know my history were not concerned about that particular topic. It seemed like the ER doctor did not believe anxiety was real and did not have knowledge about postpartum experiences or side effects. Also, do not recommend giving birth at this hospital because the recovery room stay was terrible. Nurses forgot to bring my regularly scheduled medication and it was skipped multiple times. I didn't figure that out until the end though. Nurses completely forget about you and you have to constantly hound them for simple things such as water. We had to go out and buy a case of water. They do not have public access to a water station in labor recovery. I would have gotten my own water if that was even possible. The actual labor and delivery staff were fantastic during the labor process, it was the recovery room staff that was seriously lacking.

This is a horrible hospital. From the security at the front, to the incompetent dishonest nurses, to the fact that patients are sitting and being seen in the hallway. Loud patients making threats and disrupting other patients experiences. No one seems to care and acts like it’s normal. They tried to discharge my grandmother when she is in distress and having breathing issues, had not been seen by an actual doctor since 7 am. Beaumont Royal Oak is nothing like this. This is shameful. I do not recommend coming here or sending any loved ones here. These people do not care about others and it’s criminal. I don’t care how overwhelmed or busy you are, you came into the medical field and should hold yourselves to higher standards. I’m surprised this is a Beaumont hospital.

After being told my four year old with a fast spiking fever would have the next bed, we waited two hours in which nothing happened and my daughter was getting dangerously hotter. Aside from that, they were putting car crash victims with chest pain and convulsions wait in the waiting room too, b/c it was emergent enough. We, along with other we’re told it would be a 5-11 hour wait, I didn’t have that long for my daughter to be seen, as she was miserable. We ended up driving a half hour to Royal oak and my daughter was taken back, given a bed immediately, and we were told her fever had gotten dangerously high in the time we sat in the botsford waiting room. Thankful for Beaumont Royal oak and their ability to actually provide emergency care for emergent situations. How are these two hospitals owned by the same company??

I’m at Beaumont the security on duty tall white guy at 3:15am in the morning on Wednesday October 19, 2022 should be trained on empathy, sympathy, and sensitive when someone is sick. My fiancé threw up and after they cleaned the area he laid back down in that same area the security said he couldn’t lay there; I responded he is sick what he need is for someone to give him medical care and then he will gladly get up, the security guard then told me it wasn’t negotiable; I again said he is very sick and I refuse to remove him from being comfortable and if there is a biohazard issue have someone clean it again after he leave. The security guard had the nerve to call 2 other security guards; now we came here for medical help not to be harassed by someone who feel the need to poke out his chest to show he’s in control. This is the second time I have come to this location and receive horrible service. The first time I came I had an eye infection and when I went to the back the main instrument to examine the eyes was BROKEN ; what’s unbelievable is I was still charged for full service. I had to go to another hospital after that experience to get a thorough examination. This type of management is unacceptable for a healthcare facility that make millions of dollars. Get it together!!!!

The two visits to Beaumont (urgent care on Grand River and Farmington Hills East doctors office) were not pleasant. The staff is not welcoming don't show any empathy (especially working in the medical field). The staff is RUDE don't know how half of them are working for the facility. Service skills in the industry should be better.

I recently OD'd and was brought to the emergency room here. The nurses and medical staff were all very professional and brought me out of it. My RN that was assigned to me was Sidney and she was absolutely amazing and went above and beyond for the patients she was caring for! Overall my experience was great considering the fact they were able to keep me alive and help for three more days after that. Sidney if you see this just know you're amazing and I wouldn't ask for anyone else to take care of me while I'm in the hospital !!

I’ve never felt more degraded in my life! nurse Britney T was a extremely aggressive towards her patients, I felt so unsafe And afraid. I hope nobody else ever has to experience that level of care I will never go back to Beaumont Hospital as long as she’s there please keep yourself and loved ones safe by choosing royal oak. Some nurses lack compassion and don’t deserve to practice in healthcare!

Thank You Beaumont Hospital for taking very good care of me during my visit to your hospital. My care team explained every procedure they did and why they were doing it. The entire staff, Doctors, NP, Nurses, NA, X-Ray,dietitian, lab tec, housekeeping, management and office staff were very kind doing my short visit; even the young man who wheeled me to my car brighten my day. The only problem I have that prevented me from giving a five star is the policy Beaumont have of changing the medication of the patient. I was not able to take my own when they did not have mines in stock the sub they offered did not agree with me because I have numerous allergies. My asthma . blood pressure and allergies flared up after being in the hospital 1 day and a half. My reason for being there was extreme knee pain to the point I had to be carried in by ems the coldest night of the year. I appreciate the great care and kindness and highly recommend Beaumont Hospital.

From the time I walked in with my sister for out patient surgery, EVERYONE was pleasant friendly, and knowledgable. The person who checked us in, was very nice, cheery. The person who took us to the out patient surgical waiting room was so very descriptive about getting around the hospital.Pointing out how to recognize if I was going the right way. So, i would know which elevators to use. Pointing out “landmarks” “Rosie the Riveter’ to make sure a knew where I was going. The person who checked us in for surgery was knowledgeable and told me exactly what to expect and where to go. He was equally nice to all the people who came in after us. The nurses in the out patient area were sweet and helpful. AND, everyone who I met in the elevator or in the hallway, smiled and said good morning. We talked about the best coffee to drink, just nice “small talk” It was a wonderful group of people all in the same area, So So vey nice. Wonderful job Team !! Thank you for making our time there as meat as it could possible be Someone is sending good vibes around.

Terrible service, one tech in particular was very rude. She didn't let me ask a question or report that the chest pain is much worse, before snapping at me. The only time I spoke with her. And, of course you get there with signs and tests showing heart attack and they leave you for hours on the waiting room. And virtually call everyone in front of you, even though you're the first one in the room. I guess for them heart attacks are not important things. People with signs of pain can wait (not only me, a kid also experiencedthe same, until his parents decided to leave).

When I first came into the building I was greeted by Wanda. She soooo pleasant at the door! She was polite and helpful. Once I got into registration for ultrasound, I didn’t feel the same with the patient services,Denise. She was cold and short, and I hope I never have to return… after meeting Terry and her doing my ultrasound rushing my day back around I decided to take this rating from a 1 to 3. Terry made me feel comfortable she was polite and humorous.

My dad’s been here for two days now… the doctor told us we can call anytime and get an update. We’ve called close to a million times now… just rings off the hook. HELLO? Is anyone there??? (He’s admitted; not diagnosed with Covid, so they should be able to spare a moment and answer the phones). Called another number from the hospital and the woman who answered swiftly hung up on me when I asked for an update and told her the situation. I would give them 0 stars if I could. I am so pleased with this hospital! My mother was transported by EMS from a local senior assisted living center to Beaumont. Every single person from registration to all of the doctors were wonderful & efficient. Mom has latter stage dementia so I try to stay with her as much as possible so I was able to watch everything that was going on. She was admitted to 3 North, and the wonderful care just continued. The nurses, aides, and doctors (of which there were many!) were so kind and caring. Mom has been here three times in the last two years, and this has been the best visit. Thank you Beaumont!

Where do I start, my 15DAY old baby is hospitalized with rsv. Direct admission from his pediatrician who knew before testing he had rsv. Although he is positive for that specific illness i had been mentioning to staff after delivery he was coughing and sneezing as well as having yellow discharge in his eyes. No one cared or checked until hearing him cough as of recently. My delivery was horrible! Between arguing with a ignorant nurse in emergency while in active labor who said i wasnt, a placenta abruption no one told me about or the fact staff was coughing and sneezing AND the same very sick nurse from delivery was caring for him upon arrival has me appalled. Had a disagreement with two of the doctors after not being told about his lab an xray results which came back normal, why we were still here if we were told only 24-48hrs here and now all of a sudden remarks an untrue things have been charted in my childs notes. The POS doctors who cant answer questions without a attitude or have a disagreement are doctor jennifer s nimtz and alyson m greenwell! For someone who only has 3years experience, why wouldnt i ask questions an give my opinion. As a concerned parent i shouldnt have to walk on eggshells because people want to be vindictive or over charge insurance companies for unnecessary stay!!!! Considering changing my childs pediatrician, and would rather go to childrens. Contacting my lawyer as well!

First time i visited this place. It was extremely clean...everyone was nice and perfessional...a well test was provided before entering the suite which made me feel safer...i would recommend this facility to my family and friends.

Been waiting in the waiting room for 3 hours now and counting. The old Botsford Hospital. They do not prioritize the patients properly. My mom is bleeding out and they take someone to the back who felt something in her throat unsure of what it was. My moms pressure is consistently dropping and we are still in the waiting room. I told her not to come to this location because it seems as if they don’t care. But because of the bleeding (GI) she wanted to come to the closest location. As I am typing this now, they just took someone back who was feeling as if they have the flu. 30 minutes PRIOR to this one person who was here before us, just went back because she started having a seizure. STAY AWAY go to the Beaumont In Royal Oak

My mom went in today. She was having chest pains. Three made her wait for 7 hours in a waiting room in terrible conditions. The nurse once we got back was terrible and she needs to watch her mouth. Top it all off she finally gets a room and that nasty attitude nurse again give us a room without no bed and a chair smaller than the waiting room chair. Horrible care takers and will never go there again . This place needs to be closed down. They only care about themselves and not the actual patients…

Intake is very rude. It seems to be unnecessarily chaotic. Great facility, poor staffing. Everyone is just texting. Triage is backed up. Though not here for emergency care, it wouldn’t be my first choice. Plenty of patients in the hallway on gurneys. Poor lighting. Just reminds me of an episode from the Walking Dead. Do not get me wrong, I move my first responders but there is a standard for every industry.

Beaumont core well whatever they want to come in sales need to do better when it comes to the attitudes of the doctors and the nurse I just say the dumbest experience ever. I left with no result. The nurses do not know how to take blood pressure. The doctors are not knowledgeable. They all do the bare minimum just to get a quick, healthy dollar and it’s not fair. Beaumont Farmington, bomber in Annapolis, Beaumont, Garden City, the worst hospitals I have ever been too. Today I came to Beaumont in Farmington ER, and I am sitting in my car as I make the post. I am assuming that the doctor on my paperwork is the doctor that I saw neither one of them gave their name, Dr. Elich and the other doctor that did not give her name just horrible. They gave me this thing to put on my ankle but it was too big and supported nothing. The nurse gave me the dumbest look. I requested to speak to someone in her attitude was just disgusting. I wish I would’ve got her name SHE WAS HORRIBLE . Off to another doctor ER THAT IS NOT BEAUMONT OR CORWELL. It defeats the purpose of changing the name of the hospital if the same attitudes and negative energy is there. Beaumont/ Corewell please do not reply with the automatic message

This is by far the worst ER. The wait is ridiculous. We have been here since 930pm and is now after 2am. We have not seen the doctor since around 11 pm. No communication with the patient. I asked close to an hour ago if they are going to admit her, and the lady said, "Let me get your nurse, and here we are still waiting for someone to come in. We asked for a pillow a couple of hours ago, and they said let me see if I can find one. This is such a scary thought that our healthcare system is like this. As much as these hospitals get out of our insurance and then receive care like this. It is disgusting and do not know how this kind of treatment is allowed. I would give this place a negative 10 stars if I could.

I brought my son to emergency on Saturday November 26, 2022! This was the worst experience ever! I have never encountered such unprofessional and RUDE nurses in my life. The customer service from the front desk to the observation area is horrible! I am not one to play the race card, but from what we experienced, there is no other conclusion. And once we followed up with primary care Doc he stated that from the work up he was looking at, my son was seriously I’ll. They just sent him home! I Don’t know who is running this Mickey Mouse operation but they along with the entire staff needs to be let go…😡

On 11-4-22, my sisters and I brought our 83 year old mom to Beaumont FH for a surgical procedure. We got to the 3rd Floor Patient Surgical In Take waiting room. We encountered JR Robinson at the desk. He was so wonderful to our mother, whom he referred to as "Miss Mary". We were three sisters worried about our mom. We did not realize there could only be two people with her in the waiting room. JR was so sweet and arranged for all 3 of us to see her pre-opt. So thankful for JR's kindness! JR is the best!!! The semi private room my husband is in is very small. Adding one visitor's chair makes it a very tight squeeze for one. How the allow 2 visitor's per patient is beyond me. The staff is very friendly and professional. Nobody can explain to me why my husband is not being fed.

I came here for a possible pulmonary embolism, my chest and back have been hurting and the sitting upright just makes it even worse in these chairs, I have been here for over 4 hours, it took me 3 days to come here because of the covid and I not big on hospitals, but my doctor urge me to come, so here I sit. There was a handful of people here when I came in at 8pm, I have watched others go before me, I get it I don’t know what there issues are, and I hope everyone will be okay, but this is ridiculous. I went through triage over 3 hours ago, yet I’m still sitting. If I wasn’t in pain and concerned about what could happen should I leave, I would have left long again. This will be my last visit here. Update, I wrote my earlier review after 4 hours of sitting in the EMERGENCY ROOM (key word Emergency), I left this place in tears, I was told there were no beds and it would be another 5 hours wait. Smh. I’m praying that my doctor will see me after this. I wish I could give no stars at all. I’m so upset

I’ve never been more comfortable being in a hospital. So much so that I have to applaud Zach Misiak for his awesome patience, humor, and knowledge. He was such a smart nurse who made me feel better about my situation. I have had such a great experience here and I just want the hospital to know how good of a job this young man is doing. His energetic personality is infectious and rubs off on each person he encounters.

My son who has Autism had surgery there today. The doctors and nurses and staff were amazing with him. They explained everything that they were doing to make it less stressful leading up to the procedure. His two recovery nurses were so amazing and did everything in their power to make him comfortable and made sure I was OK as well.

My dad was sick when he went to this hospital. The staff was not so friendly especially the nurses. He asked for water and one nurse repeatedly ignored him. He got his blood drawn twice and it was done so poorly that the blood started to run down his arm. The doctors were nice and professional though. I still do not recommend this hospital. If you go do not go alone.

Worst ER I ever been a patient at! I arrived at 10am today with my back fractured in 2 places, waited over 8 hours in the ER for a CT scan. Day shift nurse and doctor was attentive and followed up with me about my pain. Night shift doctor and nurses were TERRIBLE! Never checked on me at all I had to scream and yell for a nurse because of pain my medicine was switched to a lower medication despite my pain level Increasing and the new meds did not work at all. No one nurse nor doctor came to check on and left me in pain for 4 hours after. When I was leaving one of the nurses was loudly complaining about me needing help. LORD I hope they get the same mistreatment and cruelty when they are sick.

Doctors were great, however staff was lousey 'definetly under staffed and so if you come in with a driver who has to work early in morning you could have no choice but to leave and get xray or catscan elsewhere its ridiculous' and the time it took with no one giving me answers why took so long to get a Cat Scan. I saw medical dirty stuff on floor and seemed not very clean place. My Fiance works 5:30am and unless they are gonna keep me it took way, way, way....... Emphasis to long and so what other choice they to request to go home instead of waiting for catscan here and the tiny hospital beds completely out of date and uncomfortable when you come in with so much pain. Thankfully I was given something for the pain, but with financial situation and my Fiance having to work 5:30am I need to leave and was done waiting. I should have gone to Henry Ford they give you answers and aren't stuck up unlike staff here, and would have been in got the scan and gotten the diagnosis way before this place got me in for it. I had two good male nurses and the doctors. However the rest horrible, no one showed me how to fix the ER bed so I could be in less discomfort, till the insurance dept. lady showed me and thats not cool. I will be speaking with my doctor and if still need be going in for a catscan and then out in less time at Henry Ford ER unlike here, can't even ask a question and it seems no one knows anything, or takes sweet time to get a nurse or doctor to come and let me know anything like you've been ghosted. Im greatful for the few that did their job, but the staff and others need a major haul in attitude and being efficient doing their jobs and being pro-active in getting someone if they can't answer questions or don't know whats taking so long. This was the 1st time and definitely last I will go here even though its closer to the hous'under staffed = Unnecessary wait time'

The doctors, nurses, and medical staff have been good -great in dealing with my chronic llness. The problem lies in how they house and look after inpatients that are sharing rooms. I understand that, especially in this medical climate, there may be no private patient rooms. But, I figured that there are directives that occur when patients consistently disrupt others that they're sharing a, space with, ie: loud visitors, loud constant phone conversations, etc. Nothing is, EVER done UNLESS you're an admitted staff member. In that case, you can have, your roommate berated for, watching a television show at low volume at 9:45 at night. The aforementioned staff, Shari Hunt, heads up the ER Education Department at Beaumont Farmington Hills. Hopefully, she's not teaching bedside manner to the physician recruits, because...in spite of her being demanding and disruptive, she also listened in on and made mention of my condition AND meds to her mother, who was a frequent and volume challenged daily visitor. Unacceptable.

7 hours before getting a bed. I got an IV drip of pain meds in triage, but now I'm just getting Tylenol. The IV bag of fluid stopped working so they took that out and I still have the port in my arm which I'm hoping will be for some pain meds. Antibiotics coming around midnight. I am happy about the portal being in the middle of my arm and not on my hand. That way I have free hands. This is a local hospital for me and I hope they can do much much better and get their ratings up. Between a 2 and 3 is not good. Triage and the upper floors need to communicate much better for the patients' sake. The old saying goes the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing.

The security guard Willie (night shift 2/9/2024) was very rude and acted very inconvenienced when he had to stop chatting or playing games on his phone to give visitors their badges. The EM team was nice and attentive. Only came to Corewell on Grand River because it was close and Surgeon works here. Security needs to be retrained.

I love the treatment I was given today. Came in for a reoccurring bartholin gland cyst and the nurses and doctors really cared. I didn’t wait long in the lobby like I would at Sinai or Ford and I got treated just about immediately. I can’t remember my nurses name but she was wearing a “100% not vegan “ shirt and she made sure I was comfortable and high enough to fight the pain 😂 I even had a allergic reaction to the antibiotic and she and the team were right on it. It’s my fault didn’t know I was allergic. And the doctors were extremely gentle and empathetic during the procedure. Thanks Beaumont!

I recently had surgery, and I guess I caught them on an excellent weekend, looking at the reviews. Everyone was very helpful, kind, cheerful, just overall pleasant. This was my first admission into a hospital since birth, so I don’t have much hospital experience to go off of. Everything went without a hitch. I really don’t remember much, my surgery was very in and out. I woke up clueless lol. Some of the nurses names slip my mind but those I do remember, Monica, Ashley, Corinne, Shelly, Angela, Judi, Connie and Don (transport) were all smiles and I’m very thankful they were apart of my experience. Everyone was gentle, informative, helpful and attentive. Everything from check in that EARLY morning til checkout the next afternoon was great. Thank you Beaumont Farmington 💕

Some waited at least 10 hours. I do not want to go back!!!

I had my baby here. When she was born she screamed and cried. Nurses kept telling me to feed her more and getting lactation consultants for me I didn't ask for and when I was worried she was throwing up so much I was just told to burp her which I was. It ended up that she was over eating which made her reflux worse and she was suffering in pain from a dairy allergy. The nurse sent to help me walk to the bathroom after my c section couldn't walk and was falling over, she was nice but what if I fell? The surgeon did a great job though was quick kept me calm although I had an issue after I think it was a freak thing and not his fault The pediatrician was great and reassured me she was not starving while I cried because all the nurses kept acting like she was The lactation consultant was great and also reassured me and saw I was doing everything fine. My doctor was great. And getting the epidural went great But you spend most of your time with nurses and really someone needs to get them under control I was traumatized by how much they told me my baby was hungry crying when she wasn't and treating me like I was doing something wrong And the doctors need to be more aware of allergies and reflux these things aren't that rare. She was screaming, had a lot of mucus, was arching her back in pain and I didn't get any help with it, I had to just find it out myself at home. Instead of seeing my baby scream and thinking something is wrong it was assumed I was just doing something wrong. After having a baby being at the hospital its supposed to give you support and help, it shouldn't be easier once you get home. My baby is happy now. And chunky and well fed.

Worst emergency room nurses ever. My mom was in the ER from the morning of Sunday the 13th. I'm disabled so I could not go to the ER so I call to check on my mom I'm not on the list .what I'm on the list at the nursing home she came from. Where did this list come from .they said ' we don't know' . My mom has two kids neither one on the list. We don't know the other two names . All we can do is say she is stable . I say ask her and she will give consent. We will call you or it shift change they had one at seven and one at 845pm .I've been in hospital before it's only at seven, maybe eleven but not 845pm so she lied they hung up on me twice all it takes is 5mins to ask for consent it's been over 12hours still all I know is that she stable .I'm not on list and that they lie to me and that I'm disabled and can't get info on my because my name is not on a list ,that they don't know where it comes from ,for over12hrs will be calling ADA after over 14 hr's the charge nurse says be quiet don't say anything or I will hung up on you and not tell you anything about your mom after talking to the nurse I ask to talk to her to see why this took over 14hrs and she hung up on me the second time never go here

Gobs of dust just hanging and blowing from the ceiling tiles! Then I watched the window receptionist take all the dirty pens out of the *dirty cup* and move them to the clean cup (without cleaning them) wth??? Put your people in check Corewell!!!

Clean Outpatient Facilities, Nice Campus, but signage needs a SWIFT update. If there's not an employee immediately nearby you can easily get lost because none of the signs match the instructions given when you make your appointment. Reception staff are all very nice and helpful, but I could certainly do without the unsolicited medication advice from an Ultrasound technician that directly goes against my actual doctor's prescription. So weird and off-putting.

I used to go to Henry Ford. In oct 2019 I was experiencing intense stomach pains. I went to the er and they said I had GERD and should take omeprazole. The pain subsided for a while but came back in December. When I could no longer ignore the pain, I decided to go to Beaumont in Farmington hills. They took my concerns seriously. After a bunch of testing I was admitted into the hospital because I needed to have my gallbladder removed. I don’t even have GERD! The Doctors in the ER were extremely kind, and didn’t make me feel like I was there for no reason. I returned again this oct 2020 to have an abscess that tripled in size overnight drained. I was seen again by the same Dr (I can’t remember his name) and once again received great care after following bad advice from a different dr at a different facility. This thing was horrible, but he made me feel a little better by telling me that he gets them himself and so does his wife. Moral of my story, the ER and staff are absolutely amazing if you need emergency care. I will continue my routine healthcare through Beaumont. Thank you so much!!

The wife of one of the patients I talked to was there because he had back pain for the past 8 months. THAT'S NOT A REASON TO COME TO THE ER!!! The facility is a Where's Waldo task. The small campus is incredibly confusing, the signs don't match instructions. The lab is a subset of confusing to find. Once I confirmed I was in the right building there still is no signage. If it had not been for the covid screeners I might still be wandering the halls waiting for the end of days. Oh and the lab hours are actually not the posted hours so after my adventure in spelunking I still had to wait 45 min for it to open and then it's tiny and crowded and only had one person working. Do better Beaumont.

My wife had surgery yesterday, we where scheduled to be there at 1:00pm, we arrived at 12:35pm, got her checked in the surgical lounge at 12:50, nurse came and took her back to prep at 12:55pm not bad moving right along. Then 2 hrs go bye the board still saying in prep. I finally decided to ask the nice lady at the desk, am I gonna see my wife before they take her to surgery, so was calling back there and then the board changed ready for OR. Nice lady hurried taking me back to her, telling me on the way they forgot to call for me. That would of been tearable if they took her to surgery and something happened to her in surgery.i would of been crushed. So I got to see her for a couple of minutes then off they go. Surgery went very well.. so Beaumont please keep the patients loved ones better informed.

The Emergency Center should be renamed as Waiting Room Center. Basically the Emergency Center is just a normal doctors clinic. People with regular cold and fever come here and people with actual emergency with severe also have to wait in the waiting area. The entire emergency room process felt like we were in a 3rd world under-developed country. What a joke.. Although I can say the Nurses and Doctors are very good and helpful once you do get the treatment

The Cardiac Rehab program was fantastic. Very personalized and professional customer service. The Sleep Center, however, is an awful system. It is impossible to use the MyChart website to manage appointments, It is difficult to find phone numbers to contact the department, and when my last doctor left the hospital, I was not reassigned to his replacement. I was not even made aware that a change had been made. Now I have been trying unsuccessfully for almost 3 months to replace my CPAP supplies.

working for this hospital and seeing how everything truly is on the inside makes me feel so terrible for the patients who are seen there. From transporters commenting on patients AS they’re being pushed to wherever they may need to be, to nurses not caring at all for a call light that’s been going off for 15 minutes and talking about their patients as if they’re animals, to the EVS team who clearly doesn’t understand how to clean, and to the management who genuinely doesn’t care about anything as long as they get that paycheck. This is a disgraceful hospital. You guys STRIVE for so much yet have done NOTHING to better that hospital. The nurses are childish, the staff, incompetent, the environment? Absolutely terrible. These people deserve to be treated with the upmost respect regardless of how they treat you. this may be very condescending, but you chose to be nurses so do your work like you’re supposed to!!

Poor care!!! And refused proper treatment for Covid. I arrived by ambulance along with my husband. I was only given IV, pain and nausea medication. Later, one potassium and iron pill. I called for nurses multiple times on call button due to discomfort and need for assistance and was ignored or hung up on. I was not even given enough to respect to be told I had Covid, nurse simply put a "Stop" sign on my door and slide it closed. I had to ring the call button several times before someone (not my nurse) came down. I asked why the sign was on my door. She had to go back and find out herself. She came back with a sheepish grin, "you have Covid." I asked why I was not told and she with same grin said, "I don't know?." Also, I and my husband (located on other side of ER) asked multiple time about receiving the life saving drug, Paxlovid and was ignored. After hours in the ER and not being "seen" nor heard, two doctors finally came back in. I voiced my disappointment of proper care and respect to the doctors all the one doctor (not both) did was apologize. I also asked again about Paxlovoid telling him I was previously prescribed the drug (underlying health issues) in the past. He pushed his denial of giving this medication to "it interacts with other drugs." Hello!!! I already told him I had used it in the past, so he's denial made no sense to me. The nurse who put the sign on my door finally showed up at the end with discharge papers and I also questioned her as to why she didn't tell me my diagnosis (only plopping the sign), she said 'I thought you knew. Sorry honey, or I would've told you. It was already in your chart.' Pitiful care to say the least!!! At any rate, my husband and I both were denied Paxlovoid for our care and are still dealing with weird issues we wonder could have been resolved if given the drug. I do not recommend this hospital at all!!! Upon writing this review I see it is labeling a "teaching hospital." Well they have a lot to learn as far as RESPECT for their patients and proper care. I received an automated phone survey a few days ago and I gave them the lowest score possible. I do not recommend this hospital. My husband and I ended up there only because of the ambulance/EMS technicians. I do not trust them for any of my future care if I can help it. Please be advised and forewarned, GO ELSEWHERE for premium care, because you're worth it! P.S. My husband has had to do a virtual doctors visit since returning home and the doctor was shocked he was not given Paxlovoid as a form of treatment. However, it too late now for him or I to take it. And I am highly upset!!!
