Even after reading all the negative reviews we decided to give it a try because it’s closer to our place and the name is so familiar. It didn’t take much time to realize how big of a mistake that was. Firstly, the service and the accuracy of this place is subpar. When we called the restaurant to place the order we were told our order will be ready by 7, and it wasn’t until 7:30. And from other reviews it looks like they lie to you about the pick up time all the time. So unless you are okay waiting for your food all the time avoid this place. Secondly, we order 2 biryanis - old city spl chicken biryani and old city spl egg biryani. Egg biryani is not even egg biryani, it’s veg biryani rice with just 1 boiled egg on top. There’s scrambled egg mixed in that rice to make it a special biryani but even that is full of red color and half cooked. Coming to the chicken biryani, it’s boneless biryani mixed with food color to decieve it as a seperate biryani. I could only taste color from it and eating that biryani made my stomach upset. I’m sick of Indian restaurants listing specials to sell old and unsold food. This is the worst food I ever had in any restaurants let alone be Paradise. Avoid at all costs.

Food quantity is very less and not worth as per the prices. Paneer and veg Biryani are worst. There is mix of sona masoori rice along with basmati. The ratio of basmati rice is less. The only good thing is it is open till midnight. Paradise biryani has a very good name since many years so please do not lose the consistency in terms of quantity and taste. Channa masala is very bad and tasteless.lots of garam masala and creating acidity. Paneer chilly is too much of gravy and more food color (Red) added to it. Tandoori rotis are hard and chewy, not baked properly. This will spoil ones health causing indigestions. Will never order again from this restaurant. Thanks.

Average quality, less quantity, poor customer service. Makes you wait for more than 30minutes after arriving at the place to pick up after 45 minutes placing the order. It’s fourth time in a row and they don’t learn to improve. Stay away and choose better options around. Good bye PBP, been a regular customer and today is the last time...

I been going to this location since they opened, there were time I have had bad experience with them because there food taste unethical from time to time. Today I decided to give them another chance and I ordered the Chicken biryani, when I got home and open the dish to eat, unfortunately there was hardly any to none chicken in it. I have attached picture for proof. Bad food Bad service. If you wanna eat bones and rice u can go there and waste your time and money. Update 9/06/2022 One more chance.. I placed an order over the phone and when i got there to pick my food the total came to a different amount. I was wondering why and so i asked the cashier and he said price when up. LIKE REALLY!! HE COULD HAVE SAID THAT OVER THE PHONE ABOUT NEW PRICE IN EFFECT. ANYHOW if it was one or two dollars difference i get it but once menu item went up by 7 to 10 dollars.. are you serious. Those days are not far before this place shuts down.

Horrible restaurant!!! They didn't even have the minimum ethics to offer fresh food for a large order! We ordered a biryani 3/4 tray and it was smelly and slimy on the same day. Will they even pass a food inspection test? I dont think so.

Today, I was super hungry and ordered chicken briyani from Paradise. Such worst food I ever tasted. Never recommend this place to any one. Ate food 2 years ago here and I stopped going to this place. Now thought of trying again such disappointing experience. I never go to this place again.

I had a wonderful experience at Paradise Biryani with my family. The food was excellent and the service from Ziggy and his staff was great!! They did a great job helping us pair the various entrees with the different sauces. We will most definitely be back!!!

We ordered chicken dum biriyani ( 1 large tray and 1 small tray) and one appetizer, the naalgonda mutton fry ( 1 tray) .. The receptionist even talked and confirmed the order with the chef when he took the order over the phone. When we went to pick up the order the next day, they were saying the appetizer was not in the order.. So if you are ordering from this restaurant, please remember to call them multiple times to confirm the order otherwise you will become embarrassed in front of your guests. Also, if you are planning to order for 20 people , 1 large tray + 1 small tray is not enough since there are fewer chicken pieces in the biriyani even though rice is there...

BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE! This restaurant is selling rotten food! We ordered a mutton biryani 3/4th tray for a group of friends and it got spoiled within 5hours. What a waste of money, energy, time and we stayed hungry for night. I cook biriyani at home, it never got spoiled for at least 2 days, so we can imagine that is at least 3 days old.

Right after landing in Detroit from Washington DC, I ordered 2 - goat dum biryani and 1 - chicken dum biryani and picked them up at Paradise Biryani Farmington Hills. Asked them to make one Biryani medium spicy and the other one very spicy. It was late Saturday May 14th afternoon. None of them were even any close to being spicy. The mutton pieces were tiny and only bones. The worst Goat Biryani I have ever tasted in my life. This is the first and last time I will ever order from here. The restaurant itself was dirty and the dining tables not cleaned and the leftovers from previous diners were still lying around. Unhygienic too! Ram

I suggest not to go to this restaurant unless you love the smell of spoiled food. If you are lucky it may not smell bad although it is most probably not fresh. Especially if you place an order within 1 or 2 hours after they are open.

This is 100% very authentic halal Indian food! They serve the best Biryani 💯👍 🐔 Thalappakatti chicken biryani- cooked inside the banana leaves with jeera samba rice 🐐 Goat sukha 🐐 Goat matka claypot biryani 🍗 Chicken lollipop 🐔 Chicken 555 🥭 Mango lassi The owner Ziggy was very friendly. He explained patiently the ingredients of the items I tried. The spices are 100% imported directly from India.

Disappointed with the dine-in service. I have been here before for dine-in and takeout and never experienced such a bad service. No ice (during the hot days), air conditioning not effective, food lying on other tables and no one cleaning it, long delivery times, cutlery/paper napkins not there and had to be reminded. The food taste was good but zero marks for ambience and dine-in experience.

I have ordered Paneer Dum Biryani for to go and the food is definitely not fresh and too much curry base. They just topped it with fresh plain Biryani rice but the rice in the deeper layers is not fresh. I wonder why they add Broccoli to the Paneer Dum Biryani, it’s not a Veg Dum though. Never recommend for veg options at Paradise

Paradise must have been a culinary delight with their delicious goat biryani. 🤤 It was an absolute flavor explosion, with tender meat and aromatic spices that danced on my taste buds. The biryani was perfectly cooked, each grain of rice infused with rich flavors, and the goat was so tender it practically melted in my mouth. 😋 I couldn't get enough! It was truly a paradise for my taste buds. 🌟✨

Ordered a half tray of mutton biryani for an occasion only to find out that it was rotten by the evening. Imagine having pounds of spoiled biryani for hungry guests!!! Thanks paradise for shamelessly selling one week old biryani. Never going to this place again.

I am DONE with this HORRIBLE place!! We placed an order on the phone today and were told to pick it up after 45 mins. We showed up right on time and we were made to wait an additional 35 mins. The food was not ready and the line extended out of the door. The owners was rude, let alone apologetic for the wait. The restaurant was shabby, there was no social distancing and I felt sorry for the dine in people who had take-out customers standing in their face. EVERY SINGLE TIME I have ordered, I have had to wait longer than the given time but today took the cake. I refuse to be taken for granted like this and support this shoddy establishment. Just FYI the quality of food was bad because it was made in such a hurry and the portions have reduced too. Go to Kurrys nearby - much better food and customers. They are truly professional unlike this guy who runs this place.

Perfect biryani. I've been here several times, never disappointed. I prefer the bone-in biryani over boneless. Gotta try the chicken dum and the goat dum Biryani. Friendly service, always served with good food in time, ask for Faiz. The best part is: unlike other Indian restaurants where the kitchen is closed between late afternoon until dinner time, these guys always serve food from open until late night.

I recently visited Paradise Restaurant and unfortunately, my experience was not a positive one. I ordered the veg biryani, but was disappointed to find that the dish was dry and lacked vegetables. The rice felt like it had been simply colored, with no flavor or seasoning. In addition, I once received the same dish with egg in it, which is unacceptable as I am a vegetarian. When I contacted the restaurant to express my concern, the response I received was not apologetic or accommodating. Instead, I was simply told to remove the egg and eat the dish. Overall, I cannot recommend Paradise Restaurant based on my experience. The lack of care in preparing dishes and disregard for customer preferences is concerning. I hope that the restaurant takes steps to improve the quality of their food and customer service, as it has potential to be a great dining destination.

The restaurant was awesome! Awesome food cooked to perfection and the staff was even better. I had a mistake on my order, due to no fault of theirs and they fixed it for me without issue. Great people, great service, great quality, great food. A++ They have gained a new customer, and I highly recommend them.

-Ordered online for pick up in store- higher price than whats listed on the website. -Ordered on the phone, asked my total. Went to pick up at the restaurant and was charger higher than what was said on the phone. It happened twice. Definetely not a conincidence. I am not sure why they are acting like car dealerships. I am never going back again or taking my colleagues. I almost forgot to mention. NEVER TIP. TIPS NEVER GO TO EMPLOYEES.

Just ordered Boneless Chicken Biryani. It was horrible. The chicken is dry and hard as rock and cold inside. The rice is dry. Worst biryani I have had in the recent past.

  • 1/5 Nasir S. 1 year ago on Google
The biryani was awful. The meat was too tough and overall quality of the food was poor. I went to speak to the employee about the quality of our food and he didn’t care nor offer a replacement meal. Would not come back again.

Tried Egg Masala with Garlic Naan! Taste was nice. I visited for late lunch around 1:40 pm. It was empty. Most of orders were for Take away or Delivery. Indian music was playing in kitchen! I could have enjoyed it as well while dining if they play music! You have to order at counter before you can sit down for food. It is not full service restaurant for dining. Nice to see many community posters for Indian festival! That shows they are locally connected. Decore was just okay.

Con: Google says they close at 10pm but when we called at around 9:15pm, they said they are are close for the day. Pros: However, the gentleman was nice enough to offer chicken dum briyani that was left to purchase. We picked that up as most of the surrounding restaurants were closed. Just for normal spicy eaters, the briyani was SPICY but so good!

If you like spicy Biryani, their taste is not exactly traditional dum biryani, but it was good Chicken 65 was also not bad. Food seemed a few dollars pricy when compared to others. Probably charging extra for Halal which seems reasonable.

Never order ‘falooda’ here. They gave milk+rooh afza with a couple of seeds in it. That’s it. Charged some 8$ . I mean are you kidding me ? Biryani was just TERRIBLE! I want my money back. You order food, pay high price, wait for an hour and you get THIS?? Not acceptable.

We were offered bottled water. Like other restaurants we thought they started to offer bottled water. To our surprise when we looked at the bill we found that they charged 50 cents per bottle. First of all, we didn’t ask for bottled water. Second, they should tell upfront about the price which they didn’t do. Anyway they found a new way to loot money. Food was good.

We had an incredible experience at Paradise Biryani pointe! We especially enjoyed the Matka Biryani, Matka chicken 65 and mutton curry and mutton appetizer even the Naan was delicious we were severed in banana leaf. I would highly recommend to have a sit down experience in the restaurant.

Seriously don't order dinner for take out from this place. Ordered veg biryani twice and it was big disappointment both the times... very spicy and it was left over rice. Thought of giving 3rd try and ordered malai kofta for dinner. Kofta pieces were burnt and black in color. Food quality is not worth the money.

This place is so inconsistent. The portion, the food combinations. So apparently if you order through DoorDash they do not include the naan with entree. They are super cheap. You would think they would give me naan assuming that I’m already paying 35$ on two entrees and 2 piece samosa. They gave one side of rice with two entrees. My previous visit I assumed rice came with entrees so I ordered Naan separate. They ended up giving me 6 naan instead of any rice and had to pay $6 extra for a pint. Terrible management! So if you want GREAT consistency I would recommend the Paradise Biryani Pointe in Dearborn. 10000000% better management and consistency.

Worst place ever... Particularly never order food through online delivery coz they send you worst quality food.. I ordered Old city chicken biryani and dum chicken biryani and both of them were worst.. Spent $48 plus tip and the food was not even worth $5. This is so disappointing as detroit lacks decent Indian food and they charge lot of money when ordering on Ubereats. Worst decision ever..

  • 3/5 Prateek S. 3 years ago on Google
Poor customer service Ordered old city special chiken biryani and goat curry. It bas been more than 45 mins now since we placed the order. The only update we are working on it now(after 45min of wait). Update: So our food came after long wait. The quality of food was better than average but the plates were not clean. Also as a part of apology they offered gave us complimentary ras malai.

Biryani is bit spicy but tastes good, always reminds of Hyderabadi biryani. Even their side dishes of chicken or paneer are a treat to taste buds.

  • 4/5 lena n. 3 years ago on Google
first time trying, we got a whole assortment of dishes. Besides the reviews of raw chicken we still decide to try.... Well I guess the reviews did warn us, I cut into a entirely raw piece of chicken, the outside was barely cooked 99% of the chicken was raw and I could tell from the touch! the tandoori chicken was all raw so be warned.

Recently went here after visiting The Henry Ford museum and we loved it! So flavorful and hot! The food didn’t come out all at once, but I don’t blame them cause we were outside in the igloo they have set up. Would definitely eat here again!

One of the worst restaurants to have Veg food. We had ordered Veg Dum Biriyani and it was spoilt and Cut Mirchi bajji's were uncooked. However, they are good at preparing Non-veg.

It’s a December 13 Sunday at 8:45 pm. Me and my friend called at the store back to back 12 times but nobody picked up the phone.I want to order some food but they didn’t answered my call and I came here by half hour driving what if you guys are closed ? Google says you guys closes at 10 also I came 3 days ago and I checked the closing time employee said store closes at 10pm on Sunday,I Knew it’s open that’s why I decided to take risk and waste my half hour drive to your store. It’s just too frustrating when employees don’t answer phone calls.

I have been eating here for quite a while but the taste and quality had gone down since quite a few months. Ordered Mutton Biriyani and always get mutton which doesn't taste good, too hard and meat is black which should be soft. The prices have gone up and dont match with the quality of food you get.

Last time I tried this restaurant is back in 2016. After that the taste and quality has been very poor. My cousin ordered a surprise biryani (old city chicken boneless biryani. Buryani rice is tossed in scrambled egg ) to my home recently and I was amazed by the taste. I tried three more times and the taste and quality was very good. Even my small kids like it. This is my new go to place recently after abandoning it for 4 years.I am not sure about other dishes. My rating is for old city boneless biryani
