BUGS. I checked into my room to find bugs in the room. The front desk gave me no trouble switching rooms. I went into 4 different rooms on 3 different floors and all of them had multiple bugs. I have attached photos. Although front desk staff allowed me to switch rooms with no hassle they didn't apologize for the situation or do anything to rectify it beyond offering me a different room. I have since left for another nearby hotel - bug free thus far.

Been staying here weekly for work. The beautiful river view on the balcony is wonderful, the rooms are always clean, the front desk staff is always accommodating and friendly but...the Bistro staff is my favorite part! I thought customer service was dead...nope. Thank you Renita, Jacoby, Sammy...all of you for making being away from home easier. The nicest people! Yes renovations happen. Yes the river attracts bugs on the balconies sometimes. The people here though, make it a great stay. Thanks guys!

The hotel is being renovated and the rooms are nice, and the bed is not terrible. The ice machines on the floors were broken, the only ice available was in the Bistro. The staff is friendly, and the location is okay. It would have been nice, to know in advance the renovation was happening. Nothing was said when we started our contract process three weeks ago. The conference room is clean and large, it was easy to unload materials. However, we had to avoid lift equipment for the painters and plastic covering the sidewalk. The supplied water, in the conference room, was old and tasted like dirt. Apparently, someone just added ice to old water. Restaurants were close, a couple within walking distance. Not sure if we will consider them in the future for our staff trainings.

Decent place. Had a bizarre encounter with one of their staff though. I think the rooms could use better lighting and nicer chairs. Also, the fridge is very very small. Not even a regular mini-fridge.

Nice remodeled hallways & rooms. I had no room keys all week, I had to ask to be let into my room EVERY time I wanted in. Beyond me how they didn't fix this problem asap, It was a week of this. Bar is very tiny, ok for taking a drink up to your room. Gym was incredibly hot, had to get a pass at a local gym instead.

I edited this review because it was based on a bad experience that Marriott addressed. The facility is great albeit under renovation. Certain amenities were not available during my visit. And I’m disappointed they don’t have a breakfast as part of the stay. I would stay here again, but I would call ahead to ensure the renovations are complete.

My room had a strange smell that I could not identify. Kind of like... that smell when people dye their hair... it was a chemical, acrid, & bitter smell. Now the hotel has done a total makeover so it could be some adhesives. Perhaps a smell coming from the curing of the pool? Anyway, the location was great central to my destinations in town. The Berg Park and Riverwalk trail behind the hotel was dreamy, and I loved it.

This hotel is clean and in a good location when visiting the area. The customer service we received was exceptional from Mire, Megan and Ivy. They each went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. It’s customer service such as this that keeps me coming back to Marriott. My thanks to each of them for a job well done.

This is a lovely, newly remodeled hotel. The rooms have been remodeled, and they continue to do some finishing touches on the remainder of the hotel. The room was spectacular for a hotel in this price range. I requested a mobility accessible room, and everything was designed perfectly for a person in a wheelchair. The beds were set at wheelchair height to allow for easy transfer. The bathroom was well-designed as well. All areas of the hotel were very clean and aesthetically pleasing. As is the case with most Courtyards, they did not provide a complimentary breakfast. I was very pleased!!

The place is under construction and a mess outside, but the whole hotel appears to have been remodeled. We’ve been pleasantly shocked because the staff and the rooms were so much nicer than the pictures online or trash piles (messy construction crew) suggest. I was able to easily walk my dog by the river using a direct access door from my room. They’ve taken steps to make having pets in the room not such a big deal, like a washable couch cover. Highly recommend if you’re passing through.

Under construction for upgrades, I’m assuming. Elevator was inoperable when I was there so stairs was the only way to go at the time. Rooms are getting what looks like a nice update. Didn’t see much in the way of a breakfast lineup - the cafe is also being renovated and was closed when I visited. Had to go eat at Denny’s next door.

This place was insanely nice. We had a large bottom floor room with a patio door that opened to the courtyard, which was nice with a service animal. There is a dog walking path directly behind the hotel that is accessible through the gate. The bed was soft and the pillows full. There is also a full sized couch for watching TV. The location is easy to get to and there is plenty of parking, even for trucks and RVs. This hotel is still under some construction, but it's not loud or inconvenient for the customers. Would stay here again.

They want you to pay for everything: water, breakfast. A 2 start hotel trying to disguise itself as a 3 star. No video cameras set up for safety outside. Great view of the river at least.

I spent 1 night in this hotel and I found it to be very nice, the staff was very friendly . The location was perfect I was able to find places to have lunch and dinner. when I got to my room I was so tired I jumped on my bed and the bed felt amazing . My room was very clean which means a lot to me. Another thing that admired about this hotel is the workout room was clean and The equipment was all wiped down so I felt germ free in there. The lobby area is very spacious and was able to watch television in the lobby area. My floor was quiet I able to get some good sleep. I will for sure come back again.

Absolutely no integrity. Reservation was cancelled 4 days prior to arrival without notice. Manager cancelled reservation and made the conscious decision not to notify. I discovered it the app the night before when I realized I didn't receive notice to check in. Marriott attempted to help. No one at property would answer. They finally rebooked me at another property. I will stay here when the sun rises in the west.

Great hotel with a very friendly staff and alot of perks. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was the complete collection of miniature NFL football helmets. The staff had organized them with each team that was playing each other for week as well as put the teams that were on the bye week by themselves. The lobby was clean and had a bar that served adult beverages. My room was clean, bed was comfortable and I enjoyed the complimentary breakfast provided by the hotel. I will stay here again my next time through Farmington. Thank you for making me feel at home!!!

While traveling on business, I found myself at the Courtyard Farmington in Farmington, NM. Before arriving, it had taken several hours to get there and I was a typical weary traveler. The warm welcoming lobby was quite a relief. Across from the front desk was a lounge/ bistro that offered beer, wine and cocktails in the evening. Always appreciate this in a hotel. Especially in fall and winter when you don't feel like roaming far for a drink at the end of the day. The first floor also has a variety of pluses for any traveler including meeting rooms, guest laundry and a pretty well stocked fitness center. The one drag was that there was some remodeling going on so there indoor pool was closed. I can't wait to see it the next time I'm back at the Courtyard Farmington. The room was clean and spacious. It looked as they were also part of the recent remodeling because the room looked fantastic. The rooms had very nice hardwood floors that, for some reason, I prefer to carpeted hotel rooms. The room was clean and ideal. Thank you Courtyard Farmington for the great place to stay. Not sure when I'll find myself back in Farmington, NM. But I know where I'll be staying, when I do.

I stay here for 1 day as I have some business work in the city. Its really in my budget and food is also very good. If you get good food and affordable room while traveling for your business what else you need!!

We booked ahead of time for April 9th and 10th and our main reason for choosing this hotel was the pool and spa. As I waited in line to check in, I saw a note up that said the pool and spa were closed for renovations! 😡 There was nothing I could do, my husband wanted to go somewhere else but we couldn't get a refund. They gave us 2 keys and one didn't work. As we entered our hallway, it was so hot and the smell was disgusting. The walls are crumbling, carpet was filthy. We entered our room (#205) and it was so hot so we turned on the AC. Room was pretty clean. The drapes were hanging half off the rod. Went out for awhile and came back and the room was still hot. Apparently the AC wasn't working. It was late so we just went to bed. Upstairs right above us they must've had little ones who did nothing but run and stomp til after 2 am. It was a nightmare! I've stayed at better cheasy motels than this! Totally not coming back! 😡

You'll walk into your room and it'll smell musty and moist, until you get used to it. The pool was in maintenance...since over a year ago...? The server at the bar will turn into your mom and cut you off after two drinks...while your staying on property...? Stay somewhere also and actually enjoy yourself. The cherry on top? The beds are so outdated, you won't get any sleep.

Great location in the city. Seemed very clean. Staff was friendly enough. Negatives: NO HOT WATER!! When I want a shower at a hotel room I expect hot water. Nope! I was far too tired to even say anything to the front desk. Took a cold shower super fast and went to bed. The TV was to the right of the bed and not out at the foot like it’s supposed to be. Cool thing about this hotel is they had REAL DRINKING GLASS GLASSES and not plastic cups as well as porcelain coffee mugs with lots of coffee packets. Bed was comfortable and I slept well. NO FREE BREAKFAST, just sayin so make sure you know that. They sell breakfast food and Star Bucks downstairs in the morning. There is a Denny’s next door and a Village Inn as well. Would stay again but check the hot water.

Used to stay here all the time traveling to Farmington for business for the past 13 years. The location can't be beat right on the Aztec River greenbelt, and the ambience of the lobby is classic. Unfortunately, the hotel has really started show its age, the rooms feel dirty, and the musty smell in the rooms is very noticeable. I hope the owners of the hotel begin to make changes, cuz I'd love to come back once it's remodeled.

Sadly nothing like I expected. No mention they are currently under construction to update rooms. Front entrance doors broken and locked-staff member had to run and open for each guest. Rooms are old and grossly outdated. Paid for whirlpool room-post it note left in room said “broken”, front staff unaware and no other rooms available. TV broken. Dead insect sitting on top of bed… BUT staff were very nice, that’s the only positive I have.
