The best place, best friends and excellent food. Been going there for over 15 years. Tom and his wife Mae take very good care of me and my kids, well my whole family.. we will continue to eat here as long as the doors open! I love the specials they have that aren’t on the menu.

This was our first time dining here, and it won't be our last! Incredible Chinese cuisine in Farmington. I had the Mongolian beef dinner combination, medium spice, white rice instead of chicken fried rice, hot and sour soup, and a veggie egg roll. Hot tea was a black tea, my favorite tea. I would describe the entree as "happy tongue" because if my tongue could smile from happiness, it would be. The beef was cut against the grain and battered in corn starch, giving it a silky texture, the way it should be prepared! The Mongolian "sauce" was delicious and served the perfect spice temperature when ordered medium. Often the spice is under what you're looking for so as not to burn a sensitive palate. The soup was excellent, some of the best that I have had in a long time! Lots of ingredients that make up a proper hot and sour. Even the wonton chips were excellent! My wife offered almond chicken, egg drop soup, and a veggie egg roll. All were amazing! Her egg drop soup tasted like eggs and not chicken stock! We're already looking forward to our next visit, I'm going to have General Tso's chicken!

Well I’m officially DONE ordering here! It was bad enough that the one meal my family orders is inconsistent each time…but today’s order proved there is a lack of care at all. I get that metal is technically vegetarian - but it isn’t edible and doesn’t belong in an egg roll.

AWLFUL! I ordered chicken chow mein it had a funny color almost a green tint smelled BAD! tasted old not freshly made. Egg rolls were spoiled a very bad taste and smell. DEFINITELY wasn't fresh i through it all away. The man on the phone was very rude. 😐

It was a fluke that I ordered from here vs my usual and so happy I did! This meal was delicious and prepared perfectly- General Tao: saucy, sweet, tang mild heat crisp and NOT heavily breaded- Chicken fried rice was delicious- Hot sour soup- excellent and of course the fried pot stickers- Quality- flavor- preparation- was the top factor for 5 stars- Yes, combo portion was large but for $14 ( paid extra for the chicken fried rice) appropriate- Definitely will be back! Hope it’s consistent

my boyfriend and i ordered around dinner time. we arrived about 10 mins late, the parking lot was packed. so was the front table. there had to have been 12 different orders on the welcome counter. i told them my name, i got my food and the man behind the counter was short and sweet. i got home about 15 mins later(?) and my food is still piping hot. and delicious. Saw ratings and reviews so I drove clear across town in order to eat here, And was disappointed to see that I’ve eaten here before. The previous experience was average and today’s experience also was average.Showed up 15 minutes after lunch specials and it was not able to get the lunch special. No problem, I ordered combination almond chicken with chicken fried rice and eggroll. Food was hot. Eggroll was not crispy at all & stuffing was bit disappointing. Rice looked really good but was somewhat bland. Did not taste Chineasy at all. Almond chicken was very crisp, hot, with quality chicken. It dry and over cooked, I guess that’s why gravy comes with it. They gave me yellow gravy when I asked for brown. When I went back to exchange there was a discussion rather than just making it right. Went back again and asked for extra duck sauce and counter person had a real attitude. Won’t be going back for a third visit.

Excellent Chinese food with many gluten free options. The person I ordered from was very helpful and knowledgeable on what could be made GF. The only downside is their menu does not indicate which items can be made GF.

Good food and an incredibly nice owner. We always get take out so I can't say much about the atmosphere for dining in. Generous portions. I like the garlic chicken, the lemon chicken, and the sweet and sour chicken. The egg rolls are good, too.

I have loved going to this place. Food's always been good and service fast and courteous. HOWEVER, curbside pickup is a total mess. First it seems they forgot about us completely. Then when we called again, they told us to come in and pay. That completely defeats the purpose of curbside pickup and we'd already paid over the phone. Then, we waited a long time again. Finally, our food was put into our trunk after 45 minutes. We came home and of course it was cold. We ended up throwing it all away. Very, very disappointed.

Food was delicious! I ordered the sweet & sour chicken and my husband ordered the chicken & garlic sauce. I’m not sure if the sweet & sour chicken was supposed to come with vegetables or not...but mine was just plain chicken. I was a little disappointed as most places include pineapple, bell peppers, & onions. They were super busy on a Friday night and had our food within 20 minutes for carry out, so great job! Would come here again.

Rainbow is the best Chinese food around. Every time I go there, the staff is so polite and friendly. They always make me smile. Excellent food and great value. Order a dinner and you'll have enough for lunch the next day. Highly recommend the sesame chicken, wonton soup, and egg roll. This is my go to Chinese food.

Chicken was too chewy(mostly old), Restaurant owner was not ready to accept even after tasting the food himself.

It was my first time there today. I placed an online order, the process was incredibly smooth. I ordered the Young Chow fried rice, honey ribs, and and the shrimp and lobster sauce. Everything was absolutely scrumptious! I will certainly be a returning customer!

Great food! Most people get takeout, but it’s a good atmosphere for dine-in as well. The staff and ownership are so friendly! The service is quick and the place is clean and runs so well! By far the best Chinese restaurant I’ve been to in Michigan.

Gluten free Chinese food that tastes just like regular food! Almond Chicken gravy is different than normal and the orange chicken wasn't my favorite. But the sweet and sour, pepper steak, and shrimp with broccoli are superb. Highly recommend!

I'm leaving this review in hopes of sparing anyone else that might be thinking about eating here. The food in this place is way over cooked and I don't think they change their fryer oil very often. It's over the top and not in a good way. The dumplings were crazy salty. The egg rolls were not bad only they were overcooked.The rice did not taste good at all. Anyone that enjoys eating in this place must not know the difference between good Chinese food and this slop.

After seeing so many glowing reviews we stopped by for lunch. WOW! So much great tasting food for a low price! The soups were great, our meals were delicious, and the staff was super friendly and polite. This will be our go to for Asian food and we are so happy we took a chance here. If I could I would give them 10 stars!

We only have ordered carry out from here. They are always busy but the food is always hot and service is always great. Gentleman at the front is always on top of everything and will constantly check with the kitchen to see if your food is ready. We haven't had a bad meal yet. Love this place.

The food was absolutely hands down the best Chinese food I've had in the metro area. Everything was cooked fresh to order. Get there early for dinner or be prepared to wait. I will definitely be back for the orange chicken!

I've been here twice and am not really impressed. Maybe it's just because my friends are obsessed with it, but I've definitely had better with more options. Takeout is probably different than dine-in, but they kind of skimped on my rice. Also, they could have more options. Why don't they have any vegetable spring rolls? I'm sure you'll enjoy this meal, but it's not worth 4 stars!

Friday night is shrimp egg foo young & shrimp fried rice night at my house. This restaurant’s food never disappoints. It is always tasty & fresh, and the service is FAST. You can get a carry-out as late as 10 mins. prior to closing time 👍🏽.

I've been here about 3 times already and have left very pleased. The owners are also very friendly. Good people. Good food. Happy customer! Also for you gluten free people they can make most of the dishes gluten free.

First and foremost, I REALLY want this place to succeed. None of my comments are meant to harm this place financially. I just hope someone reads it. Last night my husband and I ordered General Tso's chicken and beef and broccoli. When we opened up the bag, the food was upside-down and caused a huge mess. That in and of itself is no biggie. The chicken was fine (hence 2 stars), but the beef and broccoli? It was beyond disappointing. I kid you not when I say they put 3lbs of veggies in MAYBE 2oz of beef. I was also a little annoyed at the fact it wasn't even broccoli. It was broccoli, snap peas and carrots. I actually wondered if they gave me the wrong order, but everything else was there. In my opinion, this is a way to cut costs of dishes that include beef. I can read right through it. Speaking of trying to cut costs...the Styrofoam material on boiling hot food... That's a health hazard, especially if it's going into the Styrofoam as SOON as it's out of the wok. It needs to cool down before going into the container as not to let any chemicals leach out of the foam. I get that it's cheap, but PLEASE just let the food cool down before putting the food in! I guess if you chose to go here, I recommend their chicken dishes. The portions are huge though! I feel like they could order less chicken and maybe upgrade their packaging materials. At least they're ready for Christmas! They have a whole new POS system.

I've been looking for a Chinese restaurant that can prepare a good shrimp egg foo young the way that I like it and, I found it here! When I arrived on a Friday evening the restaurant was on it's way to being full. The front counter was filled with carry out orders waiting to be picked up. I walked in and placed my order and it was ready in less than 15 minutes.

Rainbow's food is pretty much on point. But today my husband ordered shrimp lo mein with 2 egg rolls. And both egg rolls were burnt. If my husband Al wasn't so tired, he would have returned them. Dont get me wrong the food is good. But you can't tell me that the cook didn't see the burnt egg rolls when he packaged them😫

Great Mu Shoo vegetables. This is the only chinese restsurant outside of Toronto where they make the actual thick, sweet crepes and not the usual thin flour tortillas that you can find in the latin section of the grocery store. Glad to find the real crepes and not the quick imitation..

Rainbow provides consistently fresh sushi, delicious varieties, and attentive service. In the midst of the 2020 pandemic, they quickly adapted so they could safely and efficiently continue to serve customers. This is a favorite stop during the workday or after work for a healthy and delicious meal. They offer order-ahead/carry-out only for the time being, and I am glad to support them during this time.

Rainbow has been our "Go To" Chineese carry out during COVID. However, tonight our carry out was disappointing. The egg rolls had a very funny and bad taste (Never had an egg roll that I did not want to finish), and my wife agreed. The Almond Boneless combination was good, but the portion of the chicken was much more skimpy then in the recent past. Overall was disappointed tonight, and so might go back to Lim's Star next time.

Had the gen chicken tonight. Chicken was dry to the point I thought I was eating tooth picks and sauce tasted a bit burnt. Didn't even want to taste my wife or daughters dinners

Don’t order the beef Lo Mein. It isn’t the traditional thick noodles. But cheap store bought angel noodles. The beef is nothing but fat. Heavily breaded and under cooked. I know this place has high reviews. But this meal is disgusting. I won’t go back.

Did we just hit them on an off day? Or is MuShu something they should just take off their menu? Crepes were thick and heavy with a gluey texture, and the filling had an unexpected (unwelcome) sweet taste to it. The lemon chicken would have been great if the chicken had been tender and moist. I gave 3 stars instead of two because we had to drive 15 minutes to get home before opening up the food, that may have impacted quality.

I cant even say all the great things about this place. First off the food is amazing. I usually order the general tao chicken and it is always hot and taste so fresh. I love the fact that they always use all white meat. Ive gone to alot of Chinese restaurants where they use white and dark meat. They also give u soooooo much food. The dinner combo feeds me and my son for two days!!!!! Then when u go in everyone is so nice and friendly. Its just a great all around place and I will recommend them to everyone!!!!!
