I have stayed at this Hampton once a year for the last three years. The breakfast is always good, parking is plentiful and the rooms are clean and updated. Last night it was so quiet, I felt like I was sleeping in a cabin in the woods. Although, I discovered the room phone did not work when I tried to call the front desk about my inability to find the wi-fi network, which I was told was down, along with the phone. As I’ve stayed here twice before, I’ll give a 4 star instead of 3 for lack of wi-fi, but I could not access my work’s VPN, which on a business trip is rather important.

I stayed in a King suite with a sofa bed. The beds were comfortable. The layout of room was nice with plenty of space. However it was disappointing the next morning as we did not have hit water for showers. It was Luke warm at best. On top of that, the shower drain was clogged so we had to stand in a few inches if dirty water. I am sure it would have been deeper but we had to take extremely quick showers because of the water temperature! I was told a manger would contact me to help with an appreciated adjustment of my bill but, I am still waiting a few days later! Wasn’t worth the $200 + cost of the room!

So I had the pleasure of staying at The Hampton Inn & Suites this past weekend. Jay at the front desk was WONDERFUL!! Very attentive, caring, and helpful. I kept commending him because good customer service is hard to come by nowadays. The place itself was beautiful! Very clean, warm and cozy, and lively. There was lots of artwork in the hotel, and a lot of smiling faces. The rooms were great, beds were super comfy, and the shower is nice too. There’s also a mini fridge and a small microwave. The microwave is rather small (we had a bag of popcorn to pop but the microwave was too small so it didn’t pop correctly) Good to just warm up leftovers tho. The bathroom had all of your necessities (shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and lotion). The Only bad thing is not all rooms have bathtubs. I was a little bummed about that and when I spoke to Jay about it, he said I would have to downsize to a double room, being that only double rooms have bathtubs (we were in a king). So I had to decide between having more bed space, or soaking in a nice hot bath. I ended up deciding to go with the bigger bed because there was a pool and jacuzzi downstairs. Sad face. The jacuzzi was broken so I couldn’t soak in there either. I was super bummed about that because my main purpose to coming to this hotel was to take advantage of the pool and jacuzzi. The pool is decent. Not too deep. 5ft. I only went in once. There was a lot of chlorine in it, which I get because germs and whatnot, but it was a little overbearing. I normally jump in the pool everyday because I love to swim, but I couldn’t find myself to jump in all that chlorine again. I’m sure kids won’t mind tho. There’s also a gym which is in the same vicinity as the pool. Breakfast was pretty good. The waffles were a little tough so I didn’t make those again but everything else was great. There’s a massive amount of parking in the front, side, and back of the hotel, so that wasn’t an issue at all. There’s also coffee available 24 hours for your own personal use in the lobby. I would have given this place a higher rating, but because of the broken jacuzzi, I just had to go lower.

Ended up at this hotel by accident and so glad I did! My daughter and I had a great stay. Clean room, clean lobby and check-in capability through app. Highly recommend.

Had to change my room two separate times in two nights. First room had a door lock issue and the second room had a television issue. Don't bother asking for fair points compensation because you will not get it. Very smug attitude from management regarding the issues. General manager would not even speak to me although I asked several times. One of the worst days I've ever had in a Hampton Inn. I usually pick Hampton Inn because of the quality. No longer the case, moving my business to Marriott.

Our stay was for 2 nights. All the staff were professional and courteous. The lobby is very warm and inviting. Lovely seating for lounging or visiting with friends. They have a gym, very good selection of equipment, and a heated indoor pool. The rooms are spacious and clean. Very comfortable beds. Will come back again gladly!!

If you have to go to West Hartford for some reason, it's nicer than Haryford itself. This is a clean, safe, quiet well lighted hotel tucked away in a nice suburban area. It seems to draw a clean crowd, a mix of families and business travelers. The "breakfast" was standard fare, unremarkable in every way, edible, nutritive, not better or worse than typical hotel buffet fare.

We have stayed at the Hampton Inn on Colt Highway for many years. It does not disappoint. The desk, breakfast and house staff are helpful, prompt with requests and thorough. The location is perfect for work and family from Bristol to Farmington and beyond. The landscaping is charming, and I used the hot tub every day for our entire stay. Our suggestion would be to take attention to the area under the bed, more disinfectant in the rooms and attention to the cobwebs under the bed. What happened to the movies? The carpets need to be vacuumed frequently and disinfected.

Hotel was in a good location. Rooms were adequate. Pool and health club was good. Service needed improvement. They didn’t have Hilton honors waters or bags when I came in. When I went to talk to the front desk- James- he dismissed me after trying to help him out.

I had a pretty good experience staying at this hotel. The room was clean and ready on time. Everything with online check in and check out worked smoothly. The amenities in the room were good as well. My only issues were that the room was fairly dark and didn't have much lighting. Also, there were no towels in my room upon my arrival so I had to go to the front desk and pick them up myself. I wouldn't mind staying here again, but it wasn't anything outstanding.

I stayed here for 4 nights. I didn’t get to my room until late the first night and noticed floors were not cleaned at all and one of the beds looked dirty when I took back covers. The next morning at 6am I told the front desk that the floors were dirty when I got to my room. They told me that I needed to tell them a day in advance. So I said ok for the following day. The next day it still wasn’t done. Asked them again and they said staff left already and would be done following day. They STILL didn’t do it. I had to walk around with shoes on my whole visit cause otherwise my feet were covered in crumbs and hair. I would not recommend this hotel.

I was visiting from NC. The hotel and staff are great, but there was a family reunion AND a girl's hockey team staying the same days I was. The only issue was that for 3 times, I had to call front desk to complain about the noise, yelling and running in hallways, which was unacceptable due to it being past 12 midnight. Every time I called they would send their Houseman, but nothing else was done. So much for a relaxing vacation. Not to mention, the hotel's location is more of a rural area.

We currently stayed at this hotel. One of the best hotels we ever stayed at. The staff is amazing. The amenities include free coffee all day, an indoor pool which our kids loved and breakfast from 6am-10am. Which was perfect. The hotel is very clean and the rooms were perfect. Love how they provide a shower gel, shampoo and conditioner dispenser. There was a bar of face soap and a body lotion dispenser. The only thing missing is a hand soap dispenser. The room was equipped with a refrigerator which came in handy for us. Well done Hampton Inn. Highly recommend staying here.. When we come back to CT, we will stay here again. Thank you

If you’re a person of color I sadly don’t recommend this hotel. It’s beautiful but my card was charged twice and when I went and asked why my card was being charged James looked at me like I was trying to scam them and then once they found out I was correct and asked what’s going on with the money they talked to me as if I knew the money would be going back to the card automatically after being told they didn’t double charge .

This is my preferred hotel when traveling to the Farmington area. I’ve stayed here 3 or 4 times since 2020, and while it’s not always been 100% perfect (see below for information on the very small issues I have run into), I will continue to book here when I visit the area. I stayed here this past weekend, and I did have to visit the front desk to let them know that (a) the shade remote didn’t work properly (this is a new feature and I think most people think they can manually pull both the inside and blackout shade which then breaks the motor) and (b) the outlet in the bathroom didn’t work. The young man at the front desk was very kind and let me know he would send someone to look at the outlets (but unfortunately the shade wouldn’t get fixed right away). Upon my return later in the afternoon, the outlet was indeed fixed. The only other issues I had (which I did not inform the front desk about as I did not feel that these issues were worth complaining about), the room I was in the heating unit made some weird noises like popping popcorn on occasion, and the toilet would sometimes run at weird times, but both worked fine and never kept me awake. I’ve never had any cleanliness issues, the rooms I’ve been in have always been spotless. That said, Housekeeping does not visit every day and you do have to reach out if you are in need of anything, but I do not find that to be a big deal. Please do be aware that if you use the app on your phone and check in through the app to get a digital key, you may have to visit the front desk to verify your identity and swipe the card that you used to book the reservation. Only happened once out of the 3 or 4 times I have stayed here. I always stay on the top floor and have never had any noise issues. I have never enjoyed the breakfast so I cannot comment on it. All in all, very happy with my stays here and will continue to book here whenever I am in the area.

Pillows are terrible. Too soft to sleep comfortably. You need to have some firm pillows in the mix. Our first first time staying there and probably our last because impossible to sleep. Had to improvise and ball up towels and put in pillowcases. Also breakfast hot water never hot. Really disappointed as a long time Honors member because travel to area every 2 months and we were looking forward to a great stay in your hotel. Guess will have to go back to Marriott hotels in the area.

This was the nicest hotel stay I've had in years. The grounds, hotel and room were impeccably clean. All staff members we encountered were extremely friendly. There were tons of power outlets in the room, all accessible and in spots that made sense. It was quiet, and comfortable. I would not hesitate to stay at the Farmington CT Hampton Inn again.

Gaint bug in my room, it stay on its side of the ro and I stayed on mine. But I had a problem taking a shower in the morn and noticed a huge hornet hanging out above the mrror and of course I didn't notice until I was mid shower. I haven't showered so fast since I was a kid lol I informed the front desk and I guess it's generational things, kids try to multi-task. To me the kicker was when the guy started helping someone else before I received my hotel bill. I guess it's just how it is nowadays.

So far, so good. Still have 4 days left. Everyone has been courteous and accommodating. Decent selection for breakfast. However, breakfast is the only meal offered. Pool was clean as well as the jacuzzi. Great fitness room!

This hotel was very nice. When we stayed the fire alarm went off at 6am and everyone had to go outside. Has a pool and jacuzzi. Most of the stand was friendly. Housekeeping was great.

Zero stars. Stay somewhere else! Newly renovated means new rugs and painted walls only. The doors, bathrooms and heaters which need repair were not touched. During our recent stay we switched rooms 3 times and still had a room with a broken mini fridge, but that was better then the first room where the main door, bathroom faucet, and wood paneling where all broken. The second room heater was broken. Also the heater in the swimming pool broke 2 weeks ago. It would have been nice to be informed prior or at check in that it was too cold to swim in and the hot tub is for one person at a time. The staff could care less about the issues and spent the weekend trying to move people room to room since so many rooms had issues with broken heaters.

The two workers at the front desk were the most unhelpful, incompetent employees I have ever encountered. We didn’t even get to our room - that’s how horrible the experience it was. We are here on a work trip so the person who booked our room/the cardholder was not with us. First, the room was not ready and were told to come back an hour later. However, we had arrived only five minutes before we were supposed to check in. Then had an issue because the card on file was not physically there to be swiped. The cardholder even spoke to the worker to verify that they wanted it to be used and all the girl could say that this was ‘not company policy’ and she couldn’t do anything but ‘maybe’ call her manager like it was such a bother to do so. We have over 50 people here with us for work, all who are staying in hotels and no one else ran into an issue like this. Mind you, the cardholder was not present for any of these check ins. The workers had already mentioned that the card on file would be getting charged if we wanted to cancel so they certainly had the ability to use it.

Just spent a night at this hotel because we were seeing a concert in Hartford. We had originally wanted to book a Hilton in Hartford, however, there were none available. After searching nearby towns, I chose the Hampton Inn in Farmington, which was only 15-20 minutes from Hartford. I am so happy we chose this hotel as it was in a nice, quiet town and the hotel was so clean. The mattress and pillows were so comfortable! I would definitely stay here again in the future.

Nice remodeled hotel. Rooms were clean and quiet. I am a Diamond member and used the Diamond parking spots which were located to the right of the main doorway. When I went to my car in the morning, a car was parked next to the curb making it awkward for me to back out. I complained to the front desk that someone with Virginia plates parked illegally but the staffs response was very uncaring saying they were full the night before and there were no parking spots and had no way of tracing the vehicle to the owner. I noticed construction at the back of the hotel which may have contributed to the lack of parking spots. It would have been a nice gesture to offer me some kind of compensation or have a staff member follow me to the parking lot and guide me out so I wouldn't hit the car.

Heated pool is kept cool at 80 degrees. Feel a heated pool should be at least 85 degrees. The Jacuzzi was out of service. Shower gel dispenser empty. Asked for soap and they only had face bar soap.

do not stay here. employees lacked respect including the manager. rooms were absolutely disgusting, we did not have new shower products, and we had a used roll of toilet paper. hair and dirt everywhere. the musty air made all of our sheets and pillows damp and warm. speaking about bedding multiple people in my family had gotten bites from some type of bugs in the bed which is totally unacceptable. when we asked for a housekeeping service they did not take the trash, make the bed or give us new towels. i would not recommend staying here

This is our new go to when visiting family in Ct. It's got the best location and the grounds are beautiful. The staff are all amazing and were very accommodating. Many breakfast options for all. 24 hr coffee, tea and hot chocolate. Rooms were clean and recently renovated. We now feel that we've found our home away from home when visiting.
