Absolutely fantastic meal and service!!! The four of us shared 4 appetizers, the seafood cataplana (serving for 2) with some wine and desserts. It was a lot of food and each one more delicious than the other. Must try the razor clam and pork cheek appetizers. Phenomenal!! We also had the octopus and shrimps which were also good. The waiter was super nice and friendly.

If you are ever in Faro, you HAVE to dine here! The waiters were friendly,super knowledgeable and passionate about their offerings. The Fish Cataplana was AMAZING and the recommended wine pairing stunning! A little pricier than average, but WELL worth it!

If you read along the previous reviews, they all tell you this place is a must! I totally agree, very nice staff, they know their menu and would give you good recommendation. They are also very chatty and welcoming. The food is amazing, you won't regret it. They are more into the traditional seafood.

The food was absolutely delicious! Beyond our expectations. The seafood was all fresh and perfectly cooked. We wished we had more space in our stomachs to order extra. The clams, prawns and octopus rice are a MUST TRY from us. Definitely recommended, we will be back! ☺️

The restaurant is very nice, staff is friendly and speaks great English. We had the fish cataplana, which was very generous for 2 people. The only downside is that it had quite a lot of coriander in it, which unfortunately covered a lot of the flavor. However, everything was very good. They accept card payments.

Delicious rice with seafood , friendly service, everyone just enjoyed the extra entertainment which one of the waiter performed when he served the Cataplana dish. Besides seafood dishes, the pork cheek is also very tasty as well. Highly recommended!

Amazing food and great staff! We ended up visiting as the restaurant we intended to go to was full but so glad! The staff were all very friendly and welcoming and they talked us through the menu so we ordered the right amount of food. The seafood was delicious, so flavoursome! Defo visit this place

Situated right in the centre of Faro, specialised in local traditional Portuguese, Algarvian food. I had fantastic Arroz de Marisco ( Seafood Rice). Delightful! Very friendly and attentive staff.

The restaurant is located in one of Faro's main streets in the pedestrian zone. Sitting outside gives quite an atmosphere. The waitress was quite kind and caring and she recommended the pawns acorda, since it is one of the restaurants specialities and can't be found everywere. The dish is kind of a boiled down bread soup, with a consistency quite similar to risotto. The taste of it was great and a unique experience. I can recommend everybody to try it! But be aware that it is quite satuating and heavy, as it seems to be that a lot of olive oil and garlic is used. 4 prawns were used in the food, which was a little disappointing for me. Additionally I had a mixed salad with was great. Overall big recommendation!

Went there during odd hours around 2-3pm. No reservation needed. Very kind and friendly owners. It was our last meal in Portugal! Ordered fish cataplana and it was perfect!!

The Acorda dish is 100% recommended! It was the best dish we had in Faro with great service and good drinks as well. The seafood was fresh and I would say the price was very worth it :)

The starter and the side dish was good (burned cheese and tomato salad) - but the prawn rice was not quite my taste. In generall is the food very nice served. The waitress was friendly and the atmosphere is nice.

The best traditional Portuguese food in the whole Algarve region. We’ve travel a lot in South of Portugal, gastronomy experience for us is one of the most important aspects to understand coulter of the region. Finding this restaurant in Faro was like finding a gastronomical treasure. Family run restaurant in the charming spot and such lovely staff. Attentive service but not obtrusive, nothing was too much trouble and smiles all around. We’ve had dinner there twice and consistency always was at present. Do ask staff for food & wine recommendations, they never faulted our expectations. If you are in Algarve region this place is a must to dine in! Cannot recommend enough.

Somewhat more expensive restaurant which offers very high quality food. We were served by the chef himself, he was very nice. The seafood was excellent, the meat unfortunately a bit dry. The atmosphere in the shopping street is very cozy, especially towards the late evening when less is going on.

Went based on the reviews and it lived up to the high rating. We were lucky together a table as the restaurant was almost full when we arrived. Great flavours and inexpensive.

I can’t be happier with my choice to have dinner in this lovely restaurant on my last night in Portugal. The service is great, the waiter was very friendly and patient, recommended the full wonderful experience. I had the Octopus rice with glass of green wine and this combination was definitely 10/10. For dessert I had a very yummy one combined with glass of Rose Porto, was an excellent addition. Would love to come back again.

The seafood here was sooo fresh! The squid was fried with butter, coriander and garlic - which gave extra fragrance to the squid itself, definitely love the aroma left in my mouth! The sauce was so match with the bread too! The portion of seafood rice was generous and was served boiling hot! Staff was friendly who recommended us the dish and explained the way they cooked, had a lovely talk with him!

The score 4,7 is a false one. The real score is 10 for everything - ambiance, food and drink (especially the wine), staff- they were very friendly and funny guys. We got a very interesting and lovely evening.

My boyfriend and I came here for dinner and absolutely loved it. The staff was wonderful, very accommodating and helpful. We wanted to try the razor clams and they were all out so they went to a another restaurant to see if anyone had some and we were lucky they did! Everything we had was really good and the portions are generous, including the seafood. Definitely come here for dinner, you will not be disappointed!

Our tour guide recommended this place... It is delicious!!! Some points to have in count though: 1. Plates are huge! This wouldnt be a problem for sure but we left a lot of food (which we are not happy to waste food)... even when we are good eaters, the plates were really well served so i recommend one plate to share... it would be great if would receive some advice from the waitress on this... 2. Our daughter loves rice but not seafood... we managed... but there are not a lot of options for little kids It was a great recommendation and we really enjoyed our food here! We order arroz con mariscos, arroz con bacalao, arroz con langostinos y arroz con pulpo... delicious!!!

Fish cataplana was a real expierience for a person, who's not a big fan of such fish. It was a perfect hit - delicious, tasty, promising and mind opening for me about sea food. Generous exactly as Marco says, which service was stunning and Hope he will receive a raised 😉😂🙂thanks a lot !

Great restaurant in Faro’s city center. The seafood rice was an excellent surprise and it was a nice experience to have a meal to share for two. The wine was excellent. The waiters were very nice and professional.

We were walking late in Faro and found that nice looking restaurant! We tried octopus rice and that was best I ever had! The owner was really nice and suggested great wine! Service generally was friendly and good!

Not sure how this place has such high score on google maps. The place is not clean, the food is not so good - misting the dishes we took were not good. Also there’s no food for children even though on the phone they said that yes, sure there is. The staff was nice - but with all the respect there’s some work to do there to get to 5 stars.

Listen to the staff and you will have a great dinner. They really love what they doing. Thank you a lot

Excellent local seafood! The Staff is very helpful and if you're new to seafood just like I am, they will explain you everything in detail. Apart from this, they're simply super enthusiastic, cheerful people. Your meal will probably end up with a shot of a strong local alcohol. The waiter will be eager to drink it with you, if your company is not fond of this kind of strong booze 😉 definitely a place to go in Faro!

It’s really a great place in Faro. Amazing seafood, friendly waiters. If we return to Faro, we will definitely come back to À do Pinto ☺️
