I was looking for a different dining experience tonight and happened to find Namastey. it was early for Portuguese dinner 7pm, the restaurant only had a few tables occupied so I was a little nervous about eating there. a little under an hour into my dinner the place filled and a line formed outside. Get there early! The food and service were great

This place completely met our expectations! Nice space in the centre of Faro, albeit interior - an esplanada would have skyrocketed the experience. The food was great, both in presentation and taste. Do not miss the fried greens as an appetizer! Service was great and the people super kind :) Very reasonable prices.

The food was very authentic and deliciously tasty. Karan and the other waiters were very attentive to our needs. Just a short walk from the Marina in FARO and from our accommodation it was a treasured find. The family runs and owns this restaurant, Papaya just down from it and a Japanese restaurant nearby called Kaira Shusi Restaurant named after their daughter. Obfigado! Namestey!

We had a very delicious dinner in Namastey with a great service and nice atmosphere. A waiter gave us nice recommendations for food and drinks. And I must say that we enjoyed every single meal we were served. Our 10-year old daughter also said that hear food was very tasty - she chose a chicken soup and chicken curry. I highly recommend this place! On the photos: pork korma, rice with mushrooms, cheese and garlic naan, smoothie and kulfi.

I'm from London and Indian restaurants are on every high street so I was surprised when our host suggested that we dine at one tonight. The menu was a selection of dishes that were cooked specially for us i.e. not on the menu. Each dish was delicately seasoned and the flavours were layered and distinct, the spicier ones leaving a little tingle on the tongue at the end. If indian cuisine is to your taste, you won't be disappointed at this restaurant.

Had spicy chicken with colored rice. Wasn’t really spicy, even for European taste. But sort from that, food was tasty! I need to point out the excellent service. Never have I been called „Sir“ before (haha). But to be honest, very kind, quick and professional service. The portion could have been a slight bit bigger. But the price is reasonable for what you get. The interior serves its purpose but isn’t overly luxurious. I’d recommend you to give it a try and go there!

Friendly staff. Great starters. Food beautifully presented, naan breads are flavoursome, meat is cooked very well some different options available to UK restaurants which made a great change. Love it and will be back.

Greetings from a tourist from Singapore! Found this restaurant by chance as we were staying at a nearby Airbnb and all the dishes ordered were amazinggggg! The butter chicken was so tasty and the chicken pakora was batter wrapped in tandoori chicken I think so it was super soft and delicious! Yummy! So happy to have found a legit restaurant serving authentic Indian cuisine! The mushroom banji was also delicious and they served the dishes in cute little pots that make it so special for the diner :) thanks so much Namastey!

I visited here with my family today...I would say the food was tasty, the service was fast and the team was very polite, I just found the quantity of the food a little less... but in all a very good restaurant. There is a paid parking nearby but parking cost are very minimal

We love Namastey! The mushroom and chili curry are our absolute favorites. Sometimes we order with rice, other times two orders of garlic naan because the naan is so delicious!!! The service is always the best. Incredibly friendly staff, great recommendations and very friendly. I also recommend the vegetarian samosas. Very tasty and the sauces that are served with it are fun and delicious!

The food was great. Ask for extra spicy side chutney if you are a Desi. Mike was awesome, very friendly and great to talk to. He speaks a multitude of languages including Konkani, so we chatted it up. Food portions are just right and can't beat the price. It's a good place to hit up once you have your sea food covered.

I really enjoyed my experience at Namastey restaurant in faro .The food, service, ambiance and cleanliness were spot on. It is more of a fine dining experience and they have made a lot of effort to attention to details to make the experience really good. It also seems to be very popular so my recommendation is to make prior reservations as I saw many people getting turned away due to many reservations on the day I visited. We orders the veg/biriyani, malai kofta, prawn vindaloo and the lamb buna and they were all adequate and excellent in flavors. Then we we also tried the cardamom tea which was the perfect ending to our great meal. Mind you portion sizes are one is to one. I would definitely recommend this place so do check it out during your next visit to faro .

Good food , friendly staff and reasonably priced . We had lunch at Namaste during our faro visit . We ordered , prawns curry , malai kofta , chole kulcha , butter and garlic naan , veg biryani , rice . Chole kulche was the best , rest of the food tasted good . Kofta was bit hard , gravy was good though . Overall we had a good meal and experience .

Delicious food, great service, very reasonable prices. Best chicken tikka masala that I’ve ever had! If I wasn’t for leaving Faro the following morning, I would have gone again! Also, by far the best restaurant I went to during my stay in Faro!😀

I live in Algarve and love Indian food. Tried dozens of restaurants across Algarve in the last 12 years but any of them beats namastey, the place where I always come back for good Indian food.

Authentic Indian restaurant with friendly and helpful staff. I think this is one good Indian restaurant we have tried so far. The food was very tasty: we tried dal soup, spinach pakora, vegetarian massala, garlic naan, coconut rice, and mango lassi. Everything was more than we have expected. Highly recommended!

Food 💯! Really well done Indian food! Left us wanting more. However, like in most Indian restaurants in Europe , the staff were unwelcoming to Indian customers ! Such an irony! We got the worst table in the restaurant , and were made to rush to leave as soon as we ate. Really don’t appreciate this behaviour and I would prefer you get a take out if you’re really craving for some Indian food!

Good Indian food is the jewel of my culinary appetite and I found a Diamond in Namastey Faro, near the old city centre.. The reviews were so good that we decided to give it a try.. What a delight. A very clean simple comfortable premises with small footpath seating outdoors and an airy indoor section with a small bar. The upstairs toilets were very large and clean. We were made feel very welcome by All the STAFF...original native Indians and I had a lovely conversation with one waiter who came from a place where I stayed ( as a student) in 1981! The food arrived promptly, freshly cooked and DELICIOUS. My father had the Pork in mushrooms which was beautifully spiced but not too hot. My sister had the chicken Tikka karai which was beautifully spiced and I had the prawn jelfrezi with egg fried rice and Bombay Allu.....All dishes were so authentic and individual... each dish had its own different combination of fresh spices that made them stand out and yet compliment each other as we dipped into each other's bowls !! We were overwhelmed.... Then the price .....very very reasonable. Another lovely surprise! 🙏 Namastey , peace, good feeling ..it had it all. This little restaurant has surpassed my once favourite Indian restaurant in the Intercontinental hotel Amman, Jordan... Well Done Namastey. We leave Faro Tuesday but we will be BACK very SOON.

The chicken biryani is really good. Tasted the lamb biriyani as well. I should say, if you're indian or Bangladeshi, ask to make it spicy. They will serve as you wish. The restaurant crews are really friendly.
