This hotel is not as pretty as the photos. Some parts, like the rooftop, look like some upkeep is needed. There was a hole in the bathroom were insects were coming out. Complimentary water is not replenished everyday. I have traveled many countries and stayed in countless hotels both for work and leisure and this is the first time I've experienced the room drinking water not being replenished. I asked thinking it was just overlooked but was told they charge extra. For more than 100eur/night and seemingly good reviews, one would expect a bit more. Staff were courteous, so putting an additional star for that, instead of my original one star.

On-point rating 9,4 We stayed here for initially 2 nights but because we loved it we stayed an extra night. Our room 328 was super spacious we had an extra space to work which was coincidental very handy. Bed and bathroom (shower in bath) are good). The hotel offers a lot of services and my opinion is there is management that actually really want the best for the customer. In the end they still make profit i like the atmosphere, customer oriented and services minded. There is a gym which also is an external company and offer ok equipment i would rate it 8,1 the changing rooms have a sauna and steam bath. We arrived by car and had the last spot available by the hotel for free. In a way i feel sorry for bad ratings because the hotel was taking in mind price quality in my top list. Things to improve, but this is more positive criticism: Breakfast - fresh orange juice - for example offer soft, medium, hard boiled eggs - fresh baked bread which has to be cut your self Service - continue to be so friendly - ignore unreasonable criticism

The best thing about the hotel was the view. Our room was with a balcony facing the marina. The service was not great. We did get in early before check-in which was at 2pm. They said they would have a room ready so we sat with our bags waiting for about 30 mins. They never asked if they could take our bags so we could enjoy Faro. My husband went to the washroom downstairs and found a cockroach running around. He showed the staff. I asked if they could take our bags and if they could text me when the room was ready. We went back at 2pm check-in time without a message and the room was ready. We had better service in Lisbon for our hotel. Otherwise the room was great and the view was fantastic. Beware though if you don't like cigarette smoke you maybe bombarded on the balcony if you have neighbors who smoke and many do here. Also, the room wasn't as quite as I hoped. A lot of furniture moving around above our heads from 8am to 12am at night. Wear earplugs if you are a light sleeper.

Very pleasant stay! Only two remarks to consider: Parking spots near the hotel are few and, most of them require you to pay. It's a 10 minute walk to the big open parking behind the old town. Shower cabin in my bathroom was very narrow and a lot of water collected on the bathroom floor.

While the hotel's appearance and ambiance suggest a 4-star rating, it lacks some essential amenities expected at this level. The absence of an iron, robes, slippers, and basic toiletries like cotton buds/discs was disappointing. Additionally the smell of cigarettes in the room was quite unpleasant. Despite this, the staff was friendly. However, improvements are needed to truly meet the expectations of a 4 star hotel experience. We have chosen to stay for the rest of our holiday at Ibis hotel and was surprised to see how good it was for a 2star hotel.

This review is for the buffet in the Harune restaurant. The only reason I’m giving it 3 stars it’s because the piano playing during the lunch is amazing. Positives: Location of the hotel, the views from the balcony, the piano and the decoration of the room. Negatives: Welcoming staff is polite but they transmit this fake politeness. The tables were with some bread crumbs on the seats and floor. Vegetarian choices (see picture) are very limited on appetizers and main course. Don’t recommend coming here if you are vegan or vegetarian. The buffet is done in a line instead of a island which makes the buffet very crowded. For the price (20€) was expecting more drinks included and more variety in the food.

Hotel Eva was great for our 6 nights stay. It was in a convenient location where we can access everything in steps. Airport, bus and trains are very close as well. Room was good but it seems not soundproofed because we could hear the next room conversation and from outdoors. Breakfast was served nicely. Stsff are friendly and helpful.

Convenient location. Clean accommodations with a fantastic balcony view of the harbor. A nice breakfast buffet with plenty of outdoor seating. Staff was pleasant and helpful even with a late flight arrival after midnight. Unfortunately I was not there long enough to experience the rooftop pool, but seems like a no brain stay when visiting Faro.

The best holiday, hotel, food, drinks, location and staff. Myself and husband stayed at the hotel for a birthday for 3 nights and have left already looking to return. The staff could not do more for you, a special thank you to Ruben, he went out over and above to make sure my husband had a memorable birthday. We feel very lucky to have had a few days away from home in such a beautiful city and hotel & cannot wait to return. Everything was 10/10. Highly recommend!

Great location! But: Lacks availability to park your car. Rooms are nice but small. The disco may keep you up. Positive: great breakfast! Right in the thick of things! Marina is near tons of restaurants, coffee shops, and shopping. Great walking! Near a castle! Pick an orange or two!

I am giving this a two star only because the employees were nice and the location of the hotel is great. -Parking was very limited and we had to drive around for about 10 minutes each time we had to park to find a spot. -The carpet in the hallways is stained and gross. - checked into our room and noticed that it was very warm and humid. We turned on the air conditioner and it barely blew any air and it was on high. We began to unpack and realized the safe did not work. We called to get help with the safe and about 30 minutes later someone called saying the safe was broken and they didn't have one to replace it with. So we needed to change rooms. -In the second room the safe worked, so we unpacked and turned on the air conditioner and left for dinner. Came back three hours later to find the room had not cooled and the air conditioner was broken. We called to have it fixed and a very nice maintenance man came. He made an adjustment to the vent to help the air flow better but it just wasn't enough. We stayed in a warm humid room for two days. The maintenance man even told us that he had asked for a new safe for our previous room but the manager hasn't ordered a new one. - I went to pour a glass of water from the water bottle on the table and it was empty. - The towel used for the floor in front of the shower was old and tattered and had stains on it. - The shower was stained yellow around the bottom edges. - The bathroom floor was dirty - The mirrors in the room were dirty and had stuff stuck to them. - At breakfast the cut up fruit was old. This by far is the worst hotel we have stayed in so far on our trip through Portugal. Seems like it needs a new manager and it needs some updates or deep cleaning.

Gute Lage des Hotels. Die Zimmer sind groß und sauber. Beim Frühstück gibt’s eine große Auswahl und die ist auch sehr lecker. Dazu gibt’s noch Livemusik beim Frühstück mit einem Klavier. Kritikpunkt ist der Pool auf dem Dach. Dieser ist in die Jahre gekommen und auch der Bereich darum sieht nicht mehr wirklich einladend aus.

My husband and I are currently staying at AP Eva Senses in Faro, Portugal. The location is perfect and close to the airport so it is very easy to get to. The breakfast is also very good. Facilities wise the rooftop pool and bar is excellent (both mocktails and cocktails). The best thing about the hotel however is the staff. Mariana from the reception desk went above and beyond to help us out when we had a slight issue with our room. She was really excellent and solved our problem quickly and without fuss despite a difficult situation for her. She was very helpful and friendly as was Guillherme and the hotel are lucky to have such nice staff working there.

Had a wonderful experience at this hotel. Had a suite with veranda on the 2nd floor with a marine view - really top class. The food was exceptional, room cleaned with fresh towels every day. First trip to Faro and this hotel - certainly not the last. We'll done Eva Senses.

We slept in the 401 room, we did not notice the review below > we do confirme that's not possible to sleep with (literally) a night club on the floor above (5th). However after having complained twice to the réceptionist at 00', we've been level up with a better room. The hotel is a bit faded and should deserve to be renovated. At the end, revews on google are faithfull.

Super location, all interesting places are nearby. The side with marina view is fantastic! There is little to no parking, tip : park for free across the train track (can be crossed on foot) Water jar at reception was empty, we only found used glasses. Someone was taking care of it but nothing changed in 15'. A pity, as this is welcome after a drive in warm weather. Toilet downstairs was dirty Rooms : so so, bit outdated. Ours on the 4th floor was VERY noisy in the early morning, due to moving chairs on the breakfast terrace, quit unpleasant if you want to enjoy a peaceful sleep We should be able to expect more for the price we pai

The reception is all a bit of a mess. There are self check in kiosks but they don't seem to be used. A make-shift check-in area was set up at the end of those kiosks and a separate desk behind the kiosks for check-in also. But it was all a bit disorganised. There were people standing around with no order/queue. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were cleaned every day (unless requested not to) Breakfast was fab, with a pianist playing in the background for a lovely atmosphere. Rooftop pool area was lovely to have as there is no beach close by. There's food and drink served up there too!

I wish I could give this place a 5 star, but I can’t. The location and quality of hotel is 5 star but if they put you in room 401 just know that you will not sleep at night due to the bar directly being above you and open until early hours of the morning. The whole point of spending $300 per night on a 4 star hotel is to not deal with this and get a great night sleep which we didn’t. It’s too bad because this place really has potential to be great

Wish I could give it more than 5 stars! Recently stayed here for 4 nights for a holiday celebrating a special occasion, and I would definitely go back! I stayed in a Marina suite Location - Perfect * Beautiful Marina views * Close to the airport so no expensive transfer costs, only a 10/15 minute journey. The only thing I did not like was that booking an airport taxi through the hotel was quoted at around 19 Euros, but a Bolt/Uber was only 7/8 euros * You can easily stay in Faro but still go and visit other popular destinations like Vilamoura and Albufeira for quite cheap (bus station is right by the hotel, and again Bolt service is very cheap) * Shuttle boats are easily accessible right by the hotel to take you to nearby beach islands. * Plenty of popular and good quality restaurants around Staff - Perfect * Everyone was very polite and friendly * If you cannot use the self check in machines there is a manned desk at reception where they can help * All staff gave excellent and honest advice/recommendations for local activities and places to visit Cleanliness - Perfect * A very clean hotel all the way throughout * Modern rooms with modern lighting and facilities, they were cleaned everyday * The only thing I didn't like was when entering the room after a period away, there was a strong smell of the sea/seaweed, not sure if this was related to the fact that it was right by the Marina. But it is something that you got used to, and it quickly went away once you activated the AC (which also worked excellently) Breakfast - Perfect * A good wide range of breakfast buffet options, all cooked fresh and seemed like good quality food * We LOVED the piano player every morning, a really unique touch by the hotel adding to the already amazing atmosphere * Breakfast was on one of the top floors so you have a beautiful view of the sun rising over the Marina, and you have the option of eating outside on the decking or in a lounge area near the balcony * Everything here also seemed very clean and modern, again with very polite staff on hand for any queries or requests Facilities - Excellent * Air conditioning in the rooms * Iron and ironing board available on request for a small refundable deposit * Beach towels provided for a small refundable deposit * Fresh bathroom towels provided daily * Hair dryer built into the bathroom although I did not use this so cannot comment on usability * I believe the Rooftop AP Eva Senses Club closes around 10pm, but there is a separate rooftop bar (senses 5) which is open until late Overall I was extremely happy that I chose this hotel for my stay, it made the special occasion even better and I will return again one day for sure. Cannot recommend this place enough, one of our taxi drivers also commented that this was the best place to stay in Faro.

Wonderful hotel right on the marina and central yo everything. The room we had was big and nicely done. Restaurant on the 5th floor has fantastic views, and the food is very good . The restaurant at rddrption is a bit pricey but again wonderful tasty food. Lovely place and staff are all very nice, attentive, and polite.

The location is great, 5 mins from the train station and right on the marina with many restaurants and bars around. The rooms are neat and clean but not 4* however the breakfast is excellent with a fantastic view of the marina

I stayed there from the 4th tom 11th of October. Rooms are small and cleanness is not great. Bathroom are small and the shower tray was not so clean. Accommodation bedroom staff were pleasant. The hotel is on the flight pat of aeroplanes from 06.00 to 24,00 noisy. The air condition system is noisy. If you open the door to balcony the street is noisy until 4.00 am . I would not recommend this hotel. Regards. Alan Perry

Great hotel. Brekkie and food was lovely. The view from room was beautiful. Located right next to old town which was nice to have a wander around. The pool and the dj were pretty epic at sunset.

I booked for a hotel with parking and this came up on booking. It's kind of cheating because they only have 4 parking spaces right outside. There is a lot of pay for parking around but from 9-19:00 you can only stay for 3 hours and it's 3,80€. Location is good, close to everything, not noisy, comfy however not the best reception service. They have self checkin desks which didn't work well neither for me or 2 other couples. And as there is only one reception table, if you don't get seen there you are checked in standing up and it's in front of everyone else who is waiting. I would def. Sort that out. Pool seemed to be low on water which made us decide not to go in. It didn't give us a good impression. In general, the hotel is ok if you know what you're going for. In my opinion it's a three star hotel. Good views if you get a good room though and the breakfast isn't too bad and they have a guy playing the piano which is nice.

Located near the marina, close to the public bus terminal, walking distance to the train station, close to the airport, walking distance to boating tours and other such activities, walking distance to nice restaurants and shopping. Hotel provides many different services, spa, health center, exercise room, bar, restaurants. The breakfast buffet is excellent. Our room was very nice, clean and modern, daily housekeeping was provided, our room had a balcony with a view of the marina and sea. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Faro has a large shopping mall called the Algarve Forum, accessible by taxi or public bus, used both methods.

I recently stayed at Eva Senses Hotel and have mixed feelings about my experience. The service was phenomenal, and two of my three stars go to the outstanding service, especially thanks to an amazing staff member who went above and beyond (an ober from the steakhouse). The steakhouse restaurant below deserves credit for the other star (also lunch and breakfast is nice!). The hotel's location is convenient, but the evening stench from the river nearby is quite noticeable. Unfortunately, our room didn't meet a 4-star standard; the toilet wasn't properly installed, and there was some black mold in the bathroom. The decision to turn off the air conditioning in winter meant dealing with noise and the river's smell when opening the door. On the bright side, the beds were comfortable. Hence, I'm giving Eva Senses Hotel a three-star rating.

A pleasant hotel for a last minute trip, but rough around the edges. Felt more like a good 3-star hotel. Iron requested but none available. Generally ignored by staff when walking in and out. Strange self check-in area, that was mentioned in another review, which is not used and one small desk for reception beyond with staff loitering around it. Even more strange was that the pool area was open (“weather-permitting” at this time of year) even though it felt like an abandoned pool at Chernobyl - see photo. Breakfast made up for things - a great selection and good quality, with lovely views over the marina and live piano music at times. Room, although worn, was very clean.

Very friendly service. Rooms are profoundly disinfected (Corona measures) and each room has a great balcony turned towards the marina. Nice breakfast!

The location was perfect for us being close to all amenities and the train station. When we checked in a very helpful women at the front desk helped us to find a convenient spot to have our Covid tests taken (for our flight home)and even booked the appointment for us! All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We were shown a map of the area and places we might like to visit—they even explained how to access the wifi. The hotel staff were happy to print documents for us and even stored our bags for a few hours, after we checked out. Excellent service! The room was very comfortable and breakfast was included.

Nice hotel with a great breakfast with live music. Unfortunately they forgot some room extras we had booked and paid for. I let them know, but it wasn't fixed. Pool area needs refreshing and more sun loungers as it was too full to be able to get one by 11am.

I've stayed in the hotel with my wife for 14 days in July 2021. The hotel is excellent. Perfectly placed in the centre of Faro, super friendly and kind staff, reasonable prices... They have their own parking place on the street and in front of the hotel, although the number of spots is limited. Breakfast have a wide variety of fruits, sweets, breads, beverages, etc. I'll try to stay there every time I go to the Algarve. I highly recommend!

Really enjoyed this hotel! Eunice on reception is an absolute legend!! Told us everything we need to know and let me practice my Portuguese even though her English is perfect. The rooftop pool and bar is great and rooms are very comfy. Obrigada!

Best hotel in town. Rooms are renovated and service is friendly. The rooftop offers a swimming pool and the bar. The breakfast at the the top level with the magnificent view ovef the city, marina and the lagoon is a jewel in the crown.

Great stay overall. The location of the hotel is perfect as it's literally close to everything you need. Rooms were nice and comfortable and the Marina view was great. Marco and William at the front desk both deserve a shoutout for their excellent customer service. Marco at the front desk when checking in was very helpful and helped us book a great restaurant when we arrived and gave us all the tips we needed. William in the evening was great for suggesting late night food places and was a great help overall when checking out as well. Only suggestion is to reduce plastic during breakfast. Understand the covid measures in place which were great but I am sure there is a way to reduce the plastic usage at breakfast. Will gladly stay here next time I am hack.

Great location, between the airport and the train by station but also with a beautiful view on the marinade. We don't hear a thing!!! The service is fast and always of quality. The rooms are big and clean. The only negative point is the shampoo diluted in water. The breakfast is well served and a musician will come to play music that's wonderful. It was a real pleasure to be there.

I liked the stay - stayed in a double bed Marina view room. The hotel had a great variety of services available, I loved the party that was hosted on a rooftop on 12.06. it's great that hotel clients got free access pass to it. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast was nice - especially loved the live music and the view from the 5th floor restaurant. The beds in my room were very comfortable, probably one of the nicest beds I've had when traveling. Although, you should definitely take better care of the rooms' cleanliness and quality. After checking-in, I've discovered that sink, shower, and counters had hair from the previous attendant. I reached out to receptions and asked them to fix that while I was out. After coming back, I found out that only part of the hair from the sink was removed, and the counter was still covered with hair. Not to mention some new hair in the sink (probably from the cleaning staff). I decided to not bother anyone with this anymore and cleaned it myself. Inside my room there was also a lot of spider webbing in the corners (was this really that hard to clean up?). You can tell that the rooms are dated, as there's some water damage in wardrobes and drawers, paint is peeling off the walls and ceiling, and you can smell a bit of sewer coming from the bathroom piping. Not to mention scrapes and uneven repair work done. Your central AC system probably needs some rework, as it barely cools the room.

Lovely hotel, fantastic views, lovely staff. Really good breakfast, plenty of choice in lovely refurbished dining room on 5th Floor with views. Handy for Old Town Faro, and bars and restaurants, it's a lively area at the weekends. There are 2 restaurants in the hotel as well as the main dining room . My only negative comment would be the pool, roof top.with fantastic views, but it let it self down with most of the sunbed broken, and the water was so low in the pool, that if you are past middle age, it was difficult to get out!!

Loved the marina view and the hotel’s vibe & restaurants but didn’t appreciate the foul smelling toilet. I would definitely stay again at Eva Sense hotel if they renovated their rooms. The breakfast experience with the view and the pianist was one of a kind! Even though I would certainly appreciate more options for vegans. :( Great location with fantastic views. I noticed that some guests with the marina view simply chose to sit on their balcony and sip wine while watching a nearby concert. We also felt like we were in the heart of Faro. The concerts never ran until late so it was not too loud at night. Downside was a foul smell coming from the toilet. Also, the room decor should be renovated, especially for the price per night they are asking.

Lovely clean hotel with great facilities. Going in March the season hadn't properly began so the pool was not available. Hotel sits on the Marina so good views out over the harbour and well placed to explore the old town and wander the shops, cafes, bars, restaurants. Nice wee balcony in room for morning cuppa or cheeky glass of wine on an evening before heading out. Wouldn't pay extra for a room overlooking the marina though. Tasty variety of food, only had breakfast. Large bright dining room with option to eat on terrace. Nice ambience every morning with gentle live music being played. Would definitely stay again.

This hotel is nowhere near a 4 star hotel. It has the standard of a 3 star. The bed was not comfortable and the bathroom ceiling had damages. The outer wall of the hotel is not kept up and looks run down. Otherwise, it’s a great location and service is excellent.

What a great experience they offering here. We staid 2 nights and were really well welcomed and they even took care of booking tickets for a boat for us. The pool on the rooftop is a must try and they even have parties from the end of the afternoon. The breakfast is amazing with so many options. 5stars to all the staff!

A lovely hotel in an amazing place with beautiful views of Faro Marina & Ria Formosa. Awesome buffet breakfast with plenty of choice. A funky bar on level 5 is worth a visit. All the staff we had dealings with were outstandingly professional. We'll most certainly be back to visit this spectacular place😎

Great hotel in a great location. Only had a street side room but it was fine, needed a little TLC but nothing major. The roof top bar and pool area are lovely breakfast was really good and all members of staff really helpful and friendly. Only one criticism the bar could do with a paper drinks menu as not everyone has a phone that can scan codes. Will definitely choose this hotel when next in Faro

Hotel Eva has a brilliant location. You can walk to the centre and the Old Town. It overlooks the marina and the view from that side are superb. Close to the train and the bus stations. The staff is lovely and obviously chosen and trained to be guest centred. Great range of food at the breakfast in the scenic fifth floor. This was our fifth and certainly not last stay. Thank you Eva Senses for the unexpected but totally appreciated gift. Hopefully we will see you all before the end of 2023. Have a great year

Hotel history very interesting..there is a book in foyer ..make time to browse through it ..staff very polite from arrival to departure..few niggles on arrival to room ..sorted swiftly and courteously. Comfy beds ..crisp sheets . Breakfast ample and very adequate for portugal. We had superior room with marina view ..Excellent suntrap from dawn till dusk ..location..can't get better Checking out tomorrow..sad times but staff acknowledged our stay ..Nice surprise. Well done all

Great Hotel for a few days stay! The views of Marina are stunning and breakfast is by far the best part! There’s a lovely buffet breakfast that’s adjusted slightly everyday, live piano playing in the background and some days everyone is handed a rose on arrival to breakfast. Good quality food with great variety. The rooms themselves could do with a bit of sprucing up, the shower isn’t great, but the service is otherwise very good. Location is very handy and the surrounding environment is safe and peaceful. Would visit again.

Our favourite hotel in Faro. We have stayed here 3 times and we are going back this week. Located in the harbour with great views and in walking distance of downtown and the old town. Great decor, spacious rooms and fantastic breakfast ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Good hotel with exceptional Staff - Pedro (I think his name was Pedro) on reception was a super helpful, Excellent pastry recommendation and couldn't do enough for us. All staff interactions were top notch. Rooms clean but could do with some general re-finishing in the bathroom. Bed a bit lumpy and noise from the hallway was quite loud in the room. Breakfast had a great selection but quality not there with exception of the fresh fruit which was 10/10. Better breakfast options available in the main town area. All in all a great stay.
