There was bedbugs . Lots of them. They were crawling on me from the bed when I was in the airport and hitched a ride on my pack. I was covered in bites, I'm still suffering from a allergic reaction from the bites. Another French girl I saw in the hallway at 430am and she was also bitten and found 5 bedbugs in her bed on the other side of the room. Kinda made me glad to be going home. You get what you pay for I suppose. This hostel needs fumigation ASAP

BED BUGS!! Don't stay at this place. The room was in the basement with a tiny window, no AC and it was boiling at night, I felt like I couldn't breathe. I also found bed bugs on myself the next day. I read through comments and it seems the bed bugs have been an issue for at least 1 year already, so obviously no reaction by management. There were no reading lights by the bed, so leaving very in the morning was complicated as I could not really have any light. The only practical thing is the location close to the airport.

I am a local, actually born in Faro, I just don't have a place in Faro at the moment so I decided to get a place for me and my girlfriend to spend the night, before she had to get a flight at 09:00 the next day. I am not a difficult person, and I am quite flexible when it comes to travelling but this has been, by far the most horrible experience I have ever had in staying in a hostel/Booking place. On arrival, we were told we had been swapped to another room, a better room... but there was no electricity working, none of the plugs worked, only the top light, which was so bright so it was either a solarium or a tomb...when telling reception they said nothing could be done... When heading for a shower there was no hot water, just cold, bone chilling one, with a bathroom full of cracks, and things that said "DOESN'T WORK/DON'T USE"- again something we found out the hard way as no one told us. During the night we felt like our door was being forced open several times, and there was constant loud conversation in the hallways to the point that I to get up and tell reception to tell whoever it was to be quiet, because it was impossible to either sleep or feel safe... which we didn't and we barely slept, so much for a relaxing time in my own home town... I don't even want my money back so it can be invested in some proper way because the location and space has everything to work, and I surely think that the owner/management is too blame, because the workers were nice, but didn't seem to be even allowed to help resolve things, as if their "boss" said that the clients just need to adapt to whichever bad conditions they found' which is the worst... we had to find these problems by ourselves, no one communicated anything.

That's right, bed bugs in the hotel bed. I was informed that the hostel was closed for 4 days for detection but apparently it didn't! I changed hotels in the early hours and am waiting for a response from management.

The dormitory beds are so cheap that the hostel seems permanently rammed — good for meeting people, not so great when you're trying to use the busy shared kitchen. Weird selection of tableware, too; we couldn't find any mugs, and the pots were very limited. That said, the shared bathroom was quiet and clean and our individual room was clean too, if not the most comfortable of all time. The hostel is well-placed for a sleep before or after a flight.

Beware: bedbugs! Even after contacting the management, I haven't heard anything back. They don't seem to take care of the issue although several people have been bitten...

Booked this hostel with low expectations, been to hostels before and we just wanted a place close to the airport to spend the night... ... It was bad, we booked a room with "only" 8 people and the snoring was real, the heat, the mosquitoes when we tried to open the window, the hosts coming in all the time and the kitchen next to the bedroom with no sound insulation at all. The mattress was paper thin and wrapped in plastic, the noise was constant. BRING EARPLUGS, avoid if possible, know what you're in for if this is your only option

Unfortunately this hostel is infestrated by bed bugs. I have seen in Google reviews from last year, so they seem to not deal with the problem. However, the staff was nice and it is located close to the airport..

one room for a large group of tourists, and several rooms for 4 people, mixed type for men and women. hospitality, cleanliness, international guests. 5 refrigerators, spacious kitchen. bed linen included. towel tedious to buy separately for 2 €. The administration has a box for suitcases, which is locked with a key. But it is not convenient that the administration works from 9 am to 1 am. And if I want to leave earlier and pick up my things from the box, then I have to wait for the administrator until 9 am. People could not settle in, and waited on the street when the administration opens. At night it turns out that it is also not populated. There is no shop where you can wait for the settlement. In general, very satisfied with the hostel. There is toilet paper. No shower gel. Hand soap is liquid only. I found it through Google at a lower price, but they settled anyway at the price indicated in Booking. Located in the airport area, it is convenient, and no. Because Uber does not want to go here, the driver was repeatedly thrown off the order. Uber was called for 40 minutes in the morning. you can miss the plane

PROS: As a transit point before having a flight, to rest a little - good enough. Fast accommodation after online check-in. Location is close to airport CONS: Bad noise isolation between rooms of basement floor and main hall. Doors don't stop a noise at all. No "quite" hours in hostel. Reviewers who wrote "bring your earplugs" were right

Beware! This hostel is an ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE. It is extremely dirty, there are cockroaches on the floors, aunts and bedbugs in the beds. I HAD TO SLEEP ON THE STREET! A fellow girl with whom I arrived got bitten all over her body. The same happened to many other people. They don’t have blankets and don’t change sheets. The bathroom is disgusting, full of dirt and hair. The staff keeps saying they are just volunteers. What a horrible excuse! JUST SHUT YOUR DIRTY HOSTEL DOWN IF YOU CAN‘T KEEP IT CLEAN!

Real hostel on quiet neighbourhood near airport. Many dorms and lots of friendly people. Cleaned good every day, but depending the quests what's the mess during the day. Many showers and toilets. Good kitchen facilities, but only one sink. Nice garden. Location is just perfect if you like walking or have bike. And for the price of 16.5€/night we paid it was something unheard of. Recommended.

Place has potential. The staff is pretty OK. Nice woods at the back. If going long term, mind the oldies in permanent residence, if they don't like you....well, they CAN make you miserable.

Not sure why the other reviews are saying it’s unclean. We had a lovely few days - very friendly staff and our room and the rest of the building was very clean and kept to high standards. Overall, great start to our travels.

I came only for one night as I have read the previous reviews and they are all true about this place!!! The people who was staying at this hostel were very noisy and I even stayed in the girls room! They did not want to sleep before 1am so I just had to sleep with noise and the light on . Also I could not choose in which bad I am going to sleep so I have got one close to the door and the outside noise as well! Then just a random woman ran into the room during the night because the door can not be locked and it’s open all night long and started screaming about someone‘s husband. Then the other girl just has got a call at 3am and started chatting on the phone. The worst one night stay ever. Even the locks in the toilets are broken and I did not feel safe to go to the bathroom. For the own luggage storage you need also your own locker so whole night I felt not safe with open door and opened stuff.

Lovely looking property in an up-market residential neighbourhood but low quality provision. 75 minute walk to town or 12 minute taxi ride. Nearest bus stop 20 minutes walk. Airport 25 minute walk. Compared to numerous alternative hostel stays in Faro, worth paying a bit more to stay in town.

The treatment by the employee in function was very awful. I didn’t feel welcomed at all, on the contrary I was treated very unfriendly. I prefer to sleep in the airport rather than spending another night in this establishment.

One of best hostels for me so far. Beautiful garden, kitchen and livingroom, overall cute building. But best is the staff, they are superfriendly and you will spend nice time with them if you are friendly as well:) About bugs reviews- cmon. You can find some because they leave doors to garden open but..cmon guys.

Really kind staff, we landed late and due to unforeseen circumstances had to book a new place for the night. They were quick to sort the booking. and they even let us go in the pool even though it should have been closed by the time we arrived. It was a short stay but a pleasant one :)

Worst hostel I’ve ever been to. Even if the staff is nice, it’s the dirtiest place I’ve ever been to. The bathrooms are so disgusting, there’s pee & hairs everywhere. The sheets have stains on them and the matress is super thin. There’s also no lock, even the door from the female dorm isn’t locked.

Far better than expected, 20min walk to airport, clean, nice friendly staff, good garden and kitchen facilities. Rooms bigger than expected, comfy beds. 30min walk to beach, water sports offered by the hostel.

Good because it’s close to the airport, but the beds are extremely uncomfortable, i have back and neck pain due to the holes in the bed frame that cause the mattress to dip. The rooms stink of sweat, bathrooms are not clean, and the whole place needs work.

When I was choosing where to sleep for the night I was drawn in by the positive reviews on this hostel, especially the ones that described a warm welcome and being shown around the place in an elaborate fashion (there's actually quite a bit of reviews describing this). I did not get any welcome of the sort. I was pointed to the rules, asked to sign an agreement to adhere to the rules and shown which bunkbed was mine. The importance given to these rules was a little disappointing as well. I had to catch an early flight, so I was happy to see there was a rule about silence in the hostel from 22h on. Sadly these were not enforced. Especially the running and screaming children were keeping me from my sleep, but there were also several adults speaking and laughing with high volume. I would not recommend this place.

Liked · I booked this hostel for only few hours so that I can keep my luggage and see the city before leaving. So, the hostel is 4kmfrom the center but very near from the airport. Hostel is in residential quite are. It was beautiful . Staff is good. They have big living room and kitchen. The garden area is nice. Disliked · There was no privacy because there were no curtains around the bed.

Please don’t go there- absolutely chaos- guests and stuff where drunk and extremely loud until 2 at night. You feel absolutely helpless, bc no one to talk to. No behaviors rules and respect at all !

It is a 15 min-walk from the airport. The room (we were only two of us) and the beds are OK. Very nice receptionist. We slept there only once, we had to get up at 4 a.m. to catch our flight. It was very loud till midnight so if U want go to the bed early, this hostel is not the best choice. There is a big kitchen with biliard, TV and sofas. The social life good at the hostel.

The staff are very considerate. Check-in closes at 10pm, but they allowed us to check-in in at 1am as our plane was late and was slightly delayed. Rooms and bathrooms very clean. 20 minutes walk from the airport so a very good location. Many thanks!

Nice Hostel only stay there for one night I booked it because it was close to the airport within a walking distance Nice and helpful staff

Very basic but okay for a few hours of sleep before an early flight. Don't rely on local taxi services, even if prebooked, they just don't turn up. We got lucky and could share with someone else, would have missed our flight otherwise with a family of 5.

I slept well in this hostel. I was happy to pay a low price and did not expect luxury. Staff and volunteers were friendly.

Was okay if you like late night party people. House rules are BS...expect loud noise and late at night. Walls and doors arr thin. I would go again tho here. Friendly people from my experience
