I'd
walked
by
this
place
many
times
from
the
train
station,
on
my
way
from
there
throught
the
town.
This
was
the
first
time
I
felt
able
to
visit
for
one
reason
or
another,
but
usually
time
related.
It
had
caught
my
eye
because
it
was
bright
and
cheerfully
decorated
and
was
always
busy.
So,
I
was
a
bit
excited
to
finally
have
the
chance
to
visit.
It
was
early
on
a
sunny
and
warm
Saturday.
I
had
my
dog
with
me
and
we
sat
outside
on
a
pretty
little
roadside
table.
I
went
in
to
order.
The
place
was
very
tidy
and
clean
and
there
was
plenty
of
staff
available.
We
exchanged
pleasantries,
I
ordered
a
cooked
breakfast
and
a
tea.
I
was
delighted
that
the
tea
came
in
a
pot.
I
also
ordered
a
sandwich
to
go.
The
road
was
quiet
and
all
that
passed
us
was
mainly
pedestrians.
My
server
dropped
the
tea
out
to
us,
noted
my
dog,
and
brought
out
a
bowl
of
water
for
him.
I
thought
that
a
lovely,
thoughtful
touch.
The
breakfast
arrived
shortly
afterwards.
It
was
cooked
as
ordered
and
the
ingredients
were
better
than
the
usual
inner-city
breakfast,
although
that
is
reflected
in
the
price.
The
mushrooms
were
fresh,
not
frozen,
the
bacon
was
thick,
and
not
the
common
slice
of
ham
disguised
as
bacon.
We
polished
the
plate
(my
dog
helped
me
with
the
sausages).
I
collected
the
sandwich
and
drooled
at
the
cakes
while
I
waited
for
it
the
be
fetched
from
the
kitchen.
I
must
add
that
the
toilets
were
clean
but
compact.
I
mention
this
because
I've
been
to
many
places
where
the
front
of
house
has
been
maintained
but
where
the
toilets
are
far
from
clean,
making
me
wonder
what
the
kitchen
must
be
like.
I'll
stop
by
another
day
to
see
what
it's
like
in
the
afternoon.
It's
definitely
a
place
I'd
like
to
return
to.
