A wonderful museum to introduce Auburn area history. Currently there is a Christmas activity with libraries to select your favorite Christmas tree that is decorated by some libraries. My daughter loves the kid exploring places. I appreciate the introduction by volunteers.

Excellent introduction to the history of the White River valley. The staff is knowledgeable and enthused about the area and what is available for further experience, including the societies historic farm and other historic places in the valley.

White River Valley Museum is a place where can learn history of Auburn. Small but very informational. Have crafts for kids and a dress up place. The staff is great here, very helpful! We had a super fun time!

We were impressed with the local exhibits plus their annual Festival of Trees. It wasn't very big which was good for our group.

Love the setup and themes in the Museum, nice to walk out right into the park and seeing the kids playing in the waterpark. Nice to see that the city keeps the homeless out, unlike some of the other parks.

It was a rainy day and my family decided to stop by. We didn't expect too much, especially for my 1.5 year old, but were pleasantly surprised! First, it was free! The staff/volunteers (?) were friendly and knowledgeable. It was clean and exhibits (on local WA history) seemed decently maintained (a few things needed some light TLC). The biggest surprise was the play/immersive sections for kids; my toddler loved it! It gave myself and my husband a chance to read through the history while our son played. Definitely coming back and bringing others!

Cool little local history museum. As someone who lives near the WA State History museum (Tacoma), I can't believe admission here is always free! 😍 If you find yourself in the area, definitely recommend stopping in, even just for a few minutes to check out the Muckleshoot canoe display and photos, the exhibit on Japanese farming families in the valley, and/or to step inside the one room schoolhouse!

This is a fascinating place of the local history for the Auburn area. Apparently the White River flew north and there was a small Green River section in the south until 1920s. And the White River changed the direction to Tacoma side. After that the White River in the north became known as Green River. Another piece of interesting story was that Auburn was the hops capital of the world. The museum had a very friendly and helpful staff. The displays were well organized and fascinating. I thoroughly enjoyed the visit. Admission was free.

It was a great museum. Very nice, very clean, and it looked like it was very well designed. The themes are very confusing because they only three where there is history about how the town became and then the 1900s time of the town, and the next room is just about the housewife during the 1960s. It doesn't make much sense. I know the 60's are an important decade that should be studied, but it is very out of place for the town museum.

This is a small, well-run historical museum with a growing, well-deserved reputation that has led to it's increased prominence on both a regional and national level.

A great intimate museum with displays rich in local Auburn and nearby history. The volunteers are very knowledgeable, they point out what can and cannot be touched with kindness. Lots of fun things to look at and learn for the kids and adults.

Helpful staff and fun, locally centered exhibits! Perfect for young kids, as it's a small museum with hands on activities. Adults will enjoy it, as well!

A good local museum that neither shies away from nor smacks you with the less than wonderful moments in history. Not so small to be overlooked; a leisurely mosey through reading the exhibits should take about 60-90 minutes. Several lifesize mockups to go through to experience it. They ought to include a section on geological history but perhaps in the future.

A wonderful FREE museum! It might be small but it holds many educational and visually pleasing exhibits. The women that were working the front desk were helpful and informative about the museum and surrounding features. There is a cash donation box at the front, so I would suggest taking a few dollars in cash with you to help support this little gem.

Such a great treasure of a museum!! Small, but packed with history of the area and set up very attractively with interactions for the kids.
