I am reviewing the restaurant, not the hotel. Forellenhof Rössle Restaurant is probably the best place to eat fresh trout in Southern Germany. The restaurant has a spacious parking area (it's easy to miss the parking entrance though, just at the side of the hotel), and large outside seating area as well as indoor seating. The kitchen is open continuously, in case you get hungry late in the afternoon after visiting the Lichtenstein Castle. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The trout is excellent, and served with melted butter and other toppings. The potato salad is exquisite. The wine selection is good, and the coffee is excellent. We would definitely eat here again.

I was here for Dinner. The place was quite full. We ordered the Forelle - one small portion and one normal portion. The difference in price was about 3€ but the quantity was too less for Klein portion. Only 2 small filets with some veggies on side. Definitely expensive but the taste was fresh.

This was a near-perfect hotel and well worth the price. The room was large and had a great balcony. The bed was comfortable and the sheets and pillows were great as well. It’s a very nice size TV in the room. There was an area with a desk where you had room to set up a laptop and work. The restaurant below is top-notch. The breakfast which I highly suggest you get is one of the best in not only Germany but Europe. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. There’s a nice spa upstairs that I walk through but I didn’t end up using. They keep up the property and make it look amazing. While I was there they put fresh flowers on the balconies. It was a beautiful hotel to stay in. The few things I didn’t like: I don’t like refrigerators that are mostly filled with things that they want you to buy and so you can’t put your own stuff in there. I ended up having to take out a couple things from the refrigerator just so I could fit in a couple of my own drinks. On the small desk where you can work they have a tray that Took up a lot of room and was filled with things that they just wanted to sell you. There are advertisements everywhere inside the hotel room even. They have a hanging bag and laundry bag and backpack and all sorts of stuff they want to sell you. It doesn’t belong in a hotel room it belongs in maybe a gift shop the area down below. After a day I kind of just ignored all The merchandise but it was kind of annoying. The two main issues I had with the hotel that kept it from getting an absolute perfect rating were both having to deal with the bathroom. It was such a nice hotel and so I wasn’t sure why they pick the lowest quality toilet paper in the world to put in the bathroom. In America we call it John Wayne toilet paper. Because it’s rough and it’s tough… The shower pressure was very high which was a great thing and usually is not a problem. The issue is that they picked a showerhead that is designed for a very low water pressure usage. So you have to have the water pressure set to less than half of max- so it doesn’t feel like you’re being stabbed by the water. If this hotel got rid of all the junk that they wanted to sell you in the personal bedroom room, got better toilet paper, and a new showerhead, then I would give it a perfect rating.

Sehr freundlicher Service. Kinderfreundlich. Gutes Essen. Tolle Lage. Extrem nützliche kostenlose Albcard. Bequeme Betten.

SUMMARY Only come here for a quick drink. Note I have not stayed at the hotel, only tried the restaurant. FOOD We had salmon and potatoes. The dish was just so-so. DRINKS The drinks were the highlight. The white wine on offer was refreshing good value. SERVICE The waitress was professional and the time to delivery was quicker than expected. AMBIENCE It is a bit depressing. Although the background is picturesque the hotel premises feel dated.

Beautiful hotel, great fresh dishes at the Resturant, amazing spa. However, the reception was quite rude: very unhelpful for tourists and gave us conflicting information while being less than kind after we tried to clarify. We had to come back repeatedly because they gave incorrect information. Not impressed with their lack of care. They also didn’t help us at all with anything regarding Schloss Lichtenstein- one of their main focusing points of their hotel. Overall not tourist friendly.

It is my first time to visit this area in Germany. Next time I'll definitely visit again with my family to have a relax and enjoyment. Hotel Rossle was recommendation of my friend and I fully agree with his suggestion. Especially for family, it is highly recommendable.

The restaurant is really cozy and the staff really kind. The food is amazing! Fish absolutely great! Everything from the region and high quality. The flavour of everything was incredible and the quantity more than enough. Very recommended!

Great trout restaurant and also local dishes Trouts are very fresh and well prepared. It is served with potatoes. Side dish salad tastes yummy too. The other dish was dumplings. It was also good.

Food is outstanding, but it is a bit pricey for a restaurant that was reasonable before COVID-19. I still love this place and is definitely a great place to eat a outstanding meal.

Good rooms, actually they could have been bigger (note: we didn't have the normal room, but the "suite"). Staff is very friendly, rooms are well stylished. Wifi is very very fast. Shower has power, beds are comfy, pillows are veeeeery soft. Restaurant is pricy, but very good. Liked it.

Probably the best spa hotel I’ve visited so far. First of all, Very professional staff and super friendly. We didn’t like the first room shown to us so the staff was super patient and found us another room with the view to the Lichtenstein Schloss. It was just breathtakingly beautiful waking up to this immense view. Secondly their spa!! Greatly equipped and southing environment as you all could see in my photos. Last but not the least, they have amazing dinner menu (only 28euro per person for 4 courses) and wonderful breakfasts which is inclusive in the room price. I would love to come back next year and stay longer. I am super amazed by this random found on my road trip down to Switzerland.

What a fabulous Candle Light Dinner! The food was absolutely superb. Beautiful creations that were art on a plate, and the flavours were just heavenly. The best staff, great atmosphere and such a pretty location!

Great hotel, very friendly people, newly furnished apartment with nothing missing, great breakfast and good restaurant. Playground for the kids is a plus! City itself is not the place to be, but is close to kastles, wonderland park, caves etc. Thank you to the hotel personnel for our great stay!
