We had a good time hanging out, nice and quiet. It's a neat little place, tho very run down. A few families and us gringos were there. The water is ok for swimming and full of tiny fish. There's a few kilometers of extremely bumpy dirt road leading to the cenote. From the main area there's a neat little road (about 600m) through the jungle to a small pier and what used to be some houses. Check it out if you're around and looking for something to do for an hour or two 🙂

Another local gem! Its about 2km off the highway on a fairly bumpy road, but perfectly driveable in a small hire car. Entry is a small 20 pesos and even on a Saturday, it wasn't busy. There's a restaurant on site or you can bring your own food and drink. The lake edge has crystal clear waters, as does the submerged cenote - it's pretty deep water so kids need supervision here. Glad we stopped by and would recommend to anyone.

Stopped for lunch at Siijil Noh Ha on our way to Bacalar from Tulum, and so happy that we did! Peaceful and quiet in stunning surroundings. The staff were lovely and food was amazing: grilled fish, ceviche, beers and nachos for $560. Finished up with a dip in the Cenote which was amazing. Would highly recommend to check this place if you are travelling on road 307.

So worth the drive, idyllic spot on the lagoon away from the hustle and bustle. Kayaking, cenote and lake swimming, bird watching and relaxing. The place is basic but has a restaurant with great food for a tiny price. Bathrooms, changing spaces and overnight cabins all available.

We had a great time at this place. We were able to camp in our van for 185 pesos each night and it was very sereine (before the weekend). The lagoon is nice for swimming, as well as the cénote. I recommend this place even for a few hours to enjoy the nature. You can apparently bike and hike there but we haven't tried.

We stopped here for a couple of hours on our way from Valladolid to Bacalar in October. It was a lovely little place around ten minutes off the main road where we could have some fish for lunch and a quick swim. The staff were very friendly and when my daughter accidentally left her rucksack with all her toys they kindly held onto it for 5 days until we returned!

We stopped here on the way from Valladolid to Bacalar. It was a great break and I recommend you give this community-run cenote&lagoon a chance :). Entry is 25 pesos per person, you can rent kayaks (70 pesos) on top of this (we didn’t have time for kayaks :(( ) . They have a restaurant and are selling cold drinks. The lagoon is pretty shallow so good for families too. And mostly, the staff is super kind - and at the end, it is the Maya people that make Yucatán so amazing to explore, right ?!

This was so beautiful and wonderful, we went back for another night. The folks that run this place are great and were very patient with our lack of spanish. We tented there, on the lawn only feet away from the Cenotes. During the day there we other guests, but at sunset everyone was gone, and we found ourselves alone with only the sounds of the jungle and water softly lapping the shore. We felt very safe and welcomed. It was really amazing to sit on the dock and watch the sun dissolve into brilliant rays of color across the water. The price was the best we paid on the entire trip (Tulum - bacalar) at 180 pesos ($9.00) for 2 people. They have cabins to rent but not sure how they are since we didnt use them. HIghly reccomend this if you find yourself south of Tulum looking for a spot to camp.

Great stopover on the way to Bacalar from Valladolid. Authentic experience. Very friendly and helpful staff. Food was amazing and so affordable... the ceviche (shrimp salad is a MUST!!!). The lake/ cenote was warm, clear water and so enjoyable. Such a calm place. This needs to be promoted!
