Dined here this evening. We are visiting on holiday nearby and the Oliver Twist was recommended by our host. Fabulous food and attentive and friendly service. Chocolate dessert to die for and the best BBQ ribs I’ve had in a long time. If we were staying longer in the area, we would return here without a doubt.

A lovely pub with attentive staff and a very welcoming smile. The food was very good and we ordered three different mains and everyone enjoyed their choice. Unfortunately we didn't have room for dessert. Definitely a great pub and excellent food.

Excellent Sunday roast after a long day out and serving late into Sunday which is rare generally nowadays. Great options , wonderful kind staff that are a credit to the hospitality industry. My husband and I went for the Sunday dinner and I have to say it was the best Sunday dinner out I have ever had I can’t recommend the inn enough. The staff were friendly and extremely welcoming and the decor was inviting. Will definitely go back. We also enquired about the rooms for family to stay for when they visit hopefully they will have availability when we need it, hence no review on the accommodation as of yet.

A lovely family run Bar, Restaurant and B&B. the room I stayed for two days midweek in July, was clean and modern. Although the room was located above the restaurant facing the road, I could hear the A47 in the distance but this didn't disturb my sleep even with the windows open. The Breakfast was perfectly cooked, poached eggs and avocado on toast. I also ate in the restaurant for my evening meals and I couldn't have picked better, the food is amazing at this place!

Started out revisiting places to eat since lockdown.Been a few times for sunday lunch.Consistent quality over last 4 times.Roast beef and roast chicken faultless.Generous portions so you may not get to the desserts. Good atmosphere and friendly staff.Recommended

I had a wonderful stay, lovely staff, lovely food and the best night's sleep I've ever had in a hotel. When I'm back in the area for business I just hope I can get a room. Treat yourself to a stay or a meal its a wonderful place.

Very good food in a relaxed friendly atmosphere. Booked a table at short notice and was glad I did. As previous visit it was great.

Fantastic experience every time I've been and cannot fault in anyway what so ever! Delicious food cooked to perfection with the best service I've experienced in this country! Can't wait to return as my mouth is watering just thinking about there delicious roast dinners & mouthwatering home made deserts!

We booked a room on the internet and when we got there, we realised they had ground floor rooms which suited me better. Not a problem, changed us straight over. The room was lovely and large with a wet room and a great shower. I had the best sleep in ages, bed was so comfy I didn’t want to get up. Breakfast was really tasty with quality ingredients and the owners were so nice and so hospitable. Although near a busy road it was lovely and quiet. Definitely visiting again 👍

We traveled from Kentucky to visit some friends and we were looking for a place to stay a couple of nights. We found The Oliver Twist Country Inn. We were really unsure not knowing much about the area. When we arrived, we could not have asked for better service. This family owned business was so welcoming and friendly. The rooms were so nice and the food was delicious! Staying at the The Oliver Twist Country Inn was one of our favorite visits of our vacation. Thank you for your hospitality, it was a great place!

Oh so close to be being a perfect review. However as was dealt with professionally, not an issue. Food portions surprised me in the size, expected much smaller, and oh so tasty! And I am SERIOUSLY fussy when it comes to food!

Had Sunday lunch there today , 4 of us and food was excellent, staff were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be going back again .

A really nice place, the staff seemed very friendly and welcoming, the evening meal was good, the breakfast was exceptional. The room was clean, with all normal facilities, I particularly appreciated the desk with a good table light and plenty of sockets, the bottle of water was a nice touch too. Really, my only minor reservation was the slightly flaky Internet connection which might have been related to my room

Food was good just could improve the service. I had Steak medallions they didn't ask how I liked them. They were slightly overdone but still really nice. They didnt bring me a steak knife as I had to ask for one. No butter for the bread and no vinegar on the table. As soon as we asked they did bring us the things. On the fireplace it looked as they still Christmas decorations out. Although it had been modernised the carpet in the restaurant looks as if it's from the 80s.

We ate at this lovely restaurant and were very pleasantly impressed. Service was very friendly and attentive. The inside was pretty with a lovely patio with tables out front. Great experience! Tasty Eaton Mess for dessert!

Lovely place to visit. We took my mum in law who was visiting from America out with our family and partners. This was special as this was the namesake of her father. The food was delicious. The young girls that looked after us were fantastic, nothing seemed to be too much trouble. Would highly reccomend and will be visiting again.

Me and my partner went for Sunday lunch , it was our first time and we wasn't disappointed, service was excellent, the lunch was outstanding ( very hot & very tasty ). The cauliflower cheese was the best we have had . The dessert's were delicious too , we will defiantely be returning.

Clean with pleasant ambience. Friendly and very accommodating staff. Why only 3 stars ... food expensive and just not up to par. The Crab Croquettes were more sauce than Crab, the Cauliflower and Cheese was strangely discoloured (made me think the Cauliflower wasn't fresh), and over cooked. The Halloumi cheese ... let's just say, perhaps not the best choice of Halloumi.

Such a wonderful place to go. We had a Malaysian curry, FABULOUS, Staff are so friendly and helpful. Lovely place to enjoy a good meal, in a convivial atmosphere..

We popped in for a Sunday lunch, we had not booked, but they fitted us in. It was quite busy and we had to wait a while for our food , but it was worth the wait, large portions all very well presented. I would say it is a little more expensive than others in the area, especially if you look at the weekday menu. Overall though I would recommend.

Lovely renovations completed since last visited. Able to get a table for food without booking in advance. Food very good although menu somewhat limited for fussy eaters! Good choice of beers. Not a good venue though for smokers as no covered area visible.

Excellent service, food and generally all round pleasurable experience. Prompt, attentive, engaging staff who had appropriately tailored engagement with children; food cooked and served superbly with more than enough to feed hungry families. Definitely worth booking a Sunday roast!
