This was one of the most unpleasant hotel rooms I’ve stayed at. For reference I add the pictures. For a comparison between the pictures you see on their website, and what we got. A dark, dungeon-like room, with old and stained furniture. Cherry on the top, the receptionist couldn’t care less about our unsatisfactory experience, not a once did he say he was sorry, nor did he offer any contact info for somebody who is in charge.

Had a great experience with Laimer Hof. The staff were super friendly and very welcoming, especially Mr.Phelix! The palace is quiet, beautiful and has some character to it. The room was clean, well ventilated and extremely comfortable. I really enjoyed my stay here. They even lent me one of their bikes at no additional charges to go around sightseeing. As a foreigner who just landed in Munich, the Laimer Hoff experience was all I could ask for. :)

We had a good experience at the hotel. The location is perfect fot the Nymphenburg palace and the neighbourhood is nice and quiet too. The service was friendly and we especially liked the breakfasts. However the soap and shampoo dispensers were empty but we had our own so was not a big problem for us.

I sincerely do not know why this hotel has so many 5 star reviews. Our experience here is terrible. We arrived after check in time, got the keys, got to the room. And then we found the room was not only a small, dark and old room (nothing like photos on websites), but it was completely not made. The blankets were a mess, used towels were everywhere in the toilet, someone’s leftover water bottle left on the bed stand. We quickly informed the receptionist, and we were told we shall come back later and they would make the room. After a few hours we returned. So after they cleaned the room again, there is still no toilet paper, the quilt were put wrongly in the cover. I had to redo the bed all again. Even besides the experience mentioned above, this was the worst hotel room we’ve had in our Germany trip and it’s certainly not worth the price it costs.

Overall: We stayed at this wonderful hotel over Christmas. This trip to Germany from the USA was a special gift to our family. We wanted to spend our Christmas in an authentic German hotel and Laimer Hof was perfect! The rooms were quiet and the beds were very comfortable. The entire hotel was spectacularly clean and well appointed. We wanted for nothing. Location: We parked our car the day we arrived and did not move it until the day we left since the location was ideal for everything Munich has to offer. We walked to area restaurants, transportation and area attractions with ease. The hotel is located in a very safe location and you will feel comfortable even walking at night. Extras: My wife was going through chemotherapy treatment at the time of our visit, and Sebastian and his wife did everything possible to make sure that our accommodations were perfect. The breakfast was amazing, the coffee warm and delicious. We want to go back to Munich again just so that we can stay at this amazing hotel again.

We stayed at the Hotel Laimer Hof in 2010 with our friends as newlyweds. We returned in 2023 with our two children. We had to book two rooms to accommodate our family of 4. Rooms and attached bathrooms are on the smaller side but not atypical for these smaller, charming, hotels in Germany. Excellent service - you can tell the staff really cares about the place. Breakfast is really delicious with fresh eggs, coffee, yogurt, tea, meals/cheeses, breads, and hot chocolate for the kids. You can't beat the location - we were easily able to get into Munich while enjoying a smaller town. Lots of restaurants walking distance too. We will be coming back!

Stayed in October of 2022 for a work trip + extra vacation. Positives: * Staff is very friendly and helpful. Front desk person was really patient with my attempt to speak really poor German the one time I needed to elaborate on something (they speak great English, but I asked for silverware and I guess that isn't a common term - I got to say "hast du eine gabel?" :)). * Location was great. Quite neighborhood, walkable to trolleys in one direction, train in the other. Food nearby was pretty good. * Breakfast was simple, but pretty good. Less positive, but not deal breakers: * Rooms are tiny. Wasn't staying there to stay in a room, so not an actual problem, but something to be aware of. Bathroom also required stepping out of the way of the door to close it to get to the shower. Again, not the main focus for staying somewhere, but it was a little tight for two people. All in all it's a nice little spot and easy to get around from.

This is a nice hotel located in a quiet neighborhood. On street parking available. Our room was spacious for European standards. There is not an elevator in the hotel, but the man working at the front desk was kind enough to carry my very heavy bags up the stairs with a smile. He recommended an Italian restaurant within walking distance, which was delicious and a fun atmosphere. Overall, a good experience.

It was a great choice in Munchen. It was close to public transport so we got easily to the city center and also it was near castle. Bed was comfortable and breakfast worth of paying. Many options and great service :)

In my search for a hotel to stay in our first visit to Munich, I came across wonderful reviews about Hotel Laimer so decided to book 4 nights with them. The stay was just like what’s in the reviews - lovely cozy room, warm hospitality & personal service. The whole building is beautiful. Sebastian gave excellent directions to the sights & places to eat. I also like the quiet location & easy access to town. Definitely a great place to stay in a hotel with character.

Booked a room online and due to the standard webpage settings I booked for the same night instead of in two weeks. I immediately saw it when I got the confirmation email and asked the hotel to rebook or cancel. They offered a huge price for the rebook two weeks later, far above the normal web prices and they refused to cancel. Very poor, will never go there and watch out for the hugely different prices offered on the web for this place.

This is a very lovely hotel in a great part of the city. Close to both the Nymphberg palace and the Hirschgarten. The staff was friendly and they had a nice made to order breakfast. The room was comfortable also.

I loved the Hotel Laimer Hof in Munich! It was in a nice neighborhood in close walking distance to restaurants and public transportation. The hotel was lovely, from the friendly staff to the nice, clean accommodations. I had the single room, which was perfect for one person. It had a pretty view and the hotel was quiet at night. I can't say enough good things about this family-owned hotel!

Sebastian and Alexandra were exceptional hosts and we highly recommend staying at Hotel Laimer Hof ! This was our first time to Munich and we would stay here again because of their kind hospitality. The hotel is situated in a beautiful, classy area; easy to get to public transportation and close by to several delicious restaurants. Sebastian and Alexandra assisted with our dinner reservations, offered sightseeing tips and made our stay very memorable. The breakfast selection was robust and very fresh. The hotel, dining area and staff welcome you as if you are the only guests. We would like to thank Sebastian and Alexandra for providing excellent service.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Laimer Hof. When we arrived early on Tuesday afternoon we were greeted by our friendly hosts who gave us all the information we needed to enjoy the beautiful city of Munich. Our cases were carried to our room Hotel was very clean. We opted for breakfast every morning and we’re glad as it set us up nicely for the day ahead. Our hosts were very helpful every day giving us tips to enjoy our travels. Location was very good close to Nymphenburg palace and a beer garden and some really good restaurants. A short tram ride to city centre. Would definitely return to this hotel. Highly recommended.

The pictures do not represent the reality, far from the city center. no subway station close.

Cute hotel. Great location, close to the Nymphenburg Palace as well as the bus/train/trolly station to get into Munich. No elevator. Staff were very nice and helpful. Had dinner delivered from an Italian place.

Hotel Laimer Hof is a wonderful place to stay. Great location with many restaurant options, tram, and train station all within short walking distance. Alexandra and Sebastian are very friendly and accommodating as was the entire staff. A special shout out goes to the office manager Jan.
