My girl Taylor is amazing! I was in the tragic unknown when I was in the market for a new stylist to balayage my hair when my stylist moved out of town. Taylor was super friendly, very understanding and made me feel special! She gave great tips about how to care for my hair to maintain my color, and keep my hair from bleaching-damage 😃 She was very transparent and takes pride in her work so if it’s not done right, she’ll fix it. I didn’t even know Unique Salon was this cute salon in my local town with a great stylist 😄 would definitely recommend!

I usually NEVER leave reviews on places I've been, but I absolutely adored this place. I just returned to the States this week after studying abroad for 6 months, and this very day (as well as the day before) I had to drive 4 hours to officially move to Flagstaff. I've been so stressed and suffering from major jet lag, and I really felt like I treated myself by coming here. The staff was so friendly, and their services were great quality! I got exactly what I wanted for my hair, thank you!

I had my first visit to Unique Salon and a haircut from Amber. The salon is so pleasant and clean and I felt pampered. Amber really listened to me about my short, curly, coarse hair and she gave me a great cut. I hope to see her again.

Amber was great! Super nice and attentive and really gives a personalized experience. Awesome service for a great price! She even walked me to my car with an umbrella when it was raining. Definitely recommending to my friends and will be back again(;

tl;dr curly girls rejoice!! I only wrote such a thorough review because there isn't a curly hair salon in town and I'm hoping this will encourage other curlies to try this salon. I stopped into Unique Salon on a whim while driving to Walgreens to buy a comb and scissors to cut my hair at home because I was tired of driving to Phoenix to go to a curly salon. Christine greeted me and said they are learning how to do curly hair and had just purchased a curly hair line, diffusers, etc so they could begin offering the service. she was very honest and transparent about the salon's experience with textured hair and where to set my expectations, and because she was so honest I booked an appointment for a cut and color. normally I get a devacut and pintura highlights, but the staff here isn't trained in any specific technique; they were straightforward throughout the process of what they felt they could or couldn't do and who would be the best match for my hair to color and cut it. there was a lot of discussion and collaboration amongst the entire staff, they asked me a lot of questions which I appreciated, they were very receptive to my suggestions and requests, and while I was a bit nervous I did go in knowing this wouldn't be the same as a curly salon. The color was done by Taylor and ended up exactly what I wanted. she went curl by curl using my existing highlights as a guide. the color pulled a bit more red than she expected and they offered to tone it but I didn't mind it and left it alone, after just 1 wash though the reddest pieces toned down on their own and the color now is perfect. The cut was done by Summer using a photo I brought in as a guide. I came in with my hair washed and unstyled as I would to a curly salon but the staff wasn't comfortable cutting it in that stage and decided it would be best to cut my hair after it was fully styled (again, very honest). they asked me to demonstrate how I would normally style my hair and I showed them step by step on a few curl clumps and they did the same throughout the rest of my hair. I brought my own products because they hadn't gotten their curly line in yet but they'll be carrying Ecoslay any day now. when I got home I rewashed and styled my hair just to reclump the curls and get a better sense of the cut, in the end it didn't come out exaaactly like I'd hoped in the back but it was close. she was also very careful to go slow and ask me about the length at each step but I just didn't take a good enough look at the back while I was at the salon. all in all this was a great experience and I'm SO happy to have found a salon in town that can work with my hair, it's no surprise they have so many 5 star reviews!

I had an appointment at another salon and the called an canceled on me just hours before. So I started looking for an appointment elsewhere. Dani got right back to me with an available appointment for the time I needed. Jade cut my hair and did a fantastic job and was very pleasant to talk with. Will definitely go back and have her cut my hair in the future!

I don’t leave reviews often but Unique Salon and the staff deserve 5 stars plus! I’ve become more of a consistent client this past year and I always have a great experience. The atmosphere and team of ladies is awesome. They do quality hair care, whether it be a trim or a full color/cut. I’ve been working with Taylor lately and she’s top notch. She is super friendly, honest, and cares about your needs. I cannot recommend her enough! If you’re looking for a salon look no farther, support these amazing flagstaff locals!

Taylor hooked me up! I wanted a bright orange and that's kinda wacky and she did so well getting a good color for me and was so sweet!! Def would recommend

This was my first time at Unique Salon and let me just say that the positive reviews are not for nothing! My visit with Taylor was fantastic! She was kind, knowledgeable, and talked everything through with me. The salon was adorable inside (sparkling and clean), and I got exactly what I came in for: a cut, curtain bangs and layers. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be coming back :)

I'm not typically one to write reviews but after an over 4 hour endeavor on Saturday, I had to come here and thank Unique Salon and give Summer a huge shout out! I absolutely love the cut and color she gave me (and am extremely happy my purple has been rejuvenated!), and even though the bleaching process threw some curveballs, Summer was dedicated to finishing the project and I'm so so so very grateful to her. She also listened to exactly what I wanted both with the new cut requested of my bangs, and even during the process with little tidbits -- my hair gets oily very easily, and I really appreciated that she only heard that bit from me once and both remembered and did her best to not use any extra products through the process. On the side, I also just want to say the entire salon itself is clean, gorgeous, and quaint, and give a final shoutout to all the staff I interacted with for being so pleasant (Christine was super sweet from the moment I walked in on a whim one day to the moment I sat in the chair for my actual appointment). I'm so very happy to have found a place in Flagstaff to get my hair done so I don't have to make any long trips to go to my usual stylist. It's nice to know I have a go-to now that's local!
