Charlie Frias Park is a great park to visit in the Las Vegas area. I was driving past and was curious about the park. It is actually located in a big ravine. It had a great running track approximately 2/3 a mile long, with a slight uphill gradient. This is a good place to get some exercise or go for a walk. Also, it has a large amount of steps going into the ravine area if you enjoy climbing stairs. I highly recommend this park.

Love this park, perfect for walking dogs & practicing sports! Also a separate dog park & bathrooms. Quite a few homeless people stay around there but so far they've been harmless. I hope they find a home soon & don't have to live at parks and live on the streets. Overall, this park is great! Great view of mountains too, also perfect for running!

A buddy needed to get his dog some exercise and this place was the closest to our hotel. Minus the bathrooms, this place was pretty cool. Basketball courts, children's playground, soccer field, and racquetball are also avail here. Like some dog parks, the fenced off area is divided into a "small" dog area and a "larger" dog area.

Great sleep or nap spot! When in Vegas and its a fully booked weekend or too expensive, rent a car and sleep here. Others do it, it seems safe n it’s not bad.

It's a great park because of what it represents to the community and it's members. They have something for everyone, which is nice because that way the park can cater to the taxpayers and the surrounding neighborhood at large. I happen to know that there are folks who enjoy tennis. So this park installed tennis courts so that tennis people can enjoy the sport. Also they went so far as to install basketball courts. This is also a pastime for many a citizen in this area as a whole. By the way, they have a huge track for all the walkers and runners amongst us. It's very big so you can do a few laps and feel good about the progress you are making. Be sure to turn on your step counter! Mine works automatically so I don't have to make that mistake again. Sometimes a homeless citizen might take refuge in the hilly area. And why not, I mean it looks comfortable. But they usually leave when the soup kitchen opens. What better way to understand the duality of man. There are also restrooms. But as you can see from the pictures, it might be a tea room. And the homeless have taken refuge in the friendly confines of the WC. God bless them!

Lovely little well maintained urban park. A few non confrontational homeless in tents. The biggest bad was the awful man who let his dog attack another dog for no reason in the dog park. We were already inside with our dogs who are elderly and small. Man comes in with his dog and it immediately attacked my friends dog. I got them separates. The owner of the other dog did nothing. Refused to remove his problem dog from the enclosed area, wouldn't apologize or acknowledge any thing happened. Didn't correct his dog or check the dog that was attacked. Photo is of the man with the aggressive dog.

I like going to this park. It has a children's water play area a awesome doggy area and i enjoy the track down by the soccer field it's helped me keep in shape and it has made my heart stronger. It's great for bbq's with friends or birthday parties with the family. It has a basketball court and a tennis court and a small walking area in the back by the tennis courts with great lookout areas for watching the sunset.

Love this dog park but feels sometimes too dangerous :(. I would advise against going here at night. In the morning probably safe.

I've been to this park a few times. I enjoyed walking around the soccer field. A nice play to bicycle and run also. I've taken my grandkids to the park area. They really loved playing in the field and on the playground. It's really relaxing.

This is a very large park if you walk around the whole thing. There is something for everyone here: fields, picnic areas, playgrounds and dog parks and some kind of water relief area. It seems like it might be in a sketchier area, but it's really close to the strip. We only came here once, but it's huge and has a lot of variety.

Great place to walk ,trek or just hang out for a while and enjoy the weather. Large park (from my point of view) with mountain view. Dog areas, children's water area, exercise stops throughout, paved and unpaved walk ways. Water fountains (I brought a bottle) and some shaded rest areas too.

Every morning btwn 6am and 7am someone leaves their 2 very large barking dogs in dog park alone who bark at everyone trying to use dog park or walking by. Literally no one is in there with them nor controlling their bad behavior.See pic. Quiet place to hang. Water park, dog parks, play areas on north side are decent. Bathrooms could use better upkeep. Great views, sunsets. 8/28/22 water park shut off for last week or so. Temps over 100 and no place to cool off. Why?? Trees trimmed too much, very little shade unless you stand on the hot side walk. 9/26/22 now the rest rooms are locked 24/7. WTH! Kids and adults now peeing in bushes! Why punish everyone for a handful of people acting like uncivilized animals. How about security doing some drive through checks every once in a while?! Seen security one time in 3 months.

The basketball court is absolutely horrendous. There are two large areas in the middle of the court where I have seen not only my son but multiple others continue to slip and fall. My child has informed me one of his friends tore a knee from that spot months earlier. Not to to mention the constant dog poop, blood, and vomit that is on the court that does not get cleaned up. Constantly I would see a ball slip over and touch some poop and everyone decided to go home. This court is long overdue for renovation. I have taken my son here for the past year and a half to practice but it seems every time I come back there is either something nasty or something dangerous. The only plus side is the usuals who come to play who are very kind, there’s not much fighting or any drug use. Just a court that truly needs maintenance and fixing up. I will add pictures next time I get there if the nastiness.

Great park for climbing kids and their parents who desperately need to work out. There's a whole area of calisthenic workouts and plenty of room to run and jump for everyone! Please please please provide toilet paper and hand soap!

Pros: 1) Huge field for all types of activities from outdoor workouts, flying drones, walking, football and so much more. 2) Attached is a very cute playground from the kids. 3) There are basketball courts and tennis courts. It's just perfect for starting active and healthy. Cons: 1) No real shading other than the playground (so be sure to bring your own) 2) Not as many ramps but there are at least to that get you to the field

Great park. No complaints. Always clean for the most part and they don’t mess with people camping in their cars which is a huge plus in my eyes.

For being a former old homeless camp (not officially but come on if you're from Vegas or been here long enough ya know lol) this place really got a nice make over. Skate park, little fenced in dog parks, tennis courts, basketball courts to a huge area to walk around and a soccer field its wonderful. The basketball court has been closed down since covid though unfortunately but everything else is open. Only down side is there are some homeless that like to camp out in the restrooms but haven't had an actual issue with em.

  • 3/5 Megan C. 2 years ago on Google
The park is larger than I expected. My Dogs love walking around and smelling the smells. It would be better if the homeless haven’t taken over. I took my pups around 8 in the morning and as it wasn’t busy, but there was no shortage of homeless men sleeping on the benches and congregating around picnic tables with all their carts laying around and water bottles on the picnic table like it’s their dining room table. It is disappointing. I would give 5 stars if it wasn’t for all the bums loitering.

Best place for jogging/running in Las Vegas, IMHO, because you can run on the grass all the way around. Also it is sunken so you won't get shot at by passing cars. City needs to hose everything down with fire trucks ... regularly. Garbage is out of control. Permanent encampments are taking over ... it needs some serious decontamination work now.

  • 3/5 Michael S. 2 years ago on Google
Great park but the homeless are taking over. Normally they don't bother anyone, but today I went to jump rope on the tennis court and was approached by a homeless gent carrying a machete. He asked if I had a lighter and quickly checked my belongings to see if I did. I called 911 and they asked if he was threatening me. A machete inherently sends this message in my opinion. I sat there for about 15 minutes and the police didn't show. But I do see their cars quite frequently, so hopefully they will be able to safeguard people from those bent on threatening others.

Pretty nice and big park. Saw a few homeless people - broke my heart when one picked up a leftover tray from the ground to eat. Gave him a couple bottles of water and a bánh mì. Enjoy life and stay in school kids.

    - The stone tables and benches seem to be completely ignored by the Maintenance Crew. They are and have been continually soiled to the point where one can't even sit down much less eat at any one of them! + However the Poop-Bag Stations are always stocked well The grounds & Dog-Runs are kempt.

Honestly, it has a quite a few homeless there but for me it’s just nostalgic. That’s why I gave it a high rating and it’s not a bad park

  • 2/5 Gabriela M. 2 years ago on Google
This park was incredible when they first opened. Nice layout, great views and awesome track to run around. Today we encountered a different park... so many homeless people sleeping on the upper area benches, floors... Bathrooms had just been sprayed down with water, had a stench. There was a shirtless man walking around the children's playground trying to look inside of car windows, super sketch.

This is a magnificent open space to exercise. Unfortunately, there are some homeless people in restrooms and playgrounds, making safety concerns.

I like the what have seen of this park but it must pretty freaking big because I have never seen a splash pad there. I like walking the track. I would rather pee down my leg than use the restrooms there though.

Great Park for drone flights. The maximum allowed height from the FAA is 100 ft, but the park is quite large so there's no lack of room to fly. It has multiple fields for football or soccer. It also has a large grassy field in the upper area where you can throw frisbee or have a picnic on a blanket. It has a baseball diamond, multiple play structures, and a water play area as well as multiple dog runs and tennis courts. There are plenty of trails to walk also. It does have some homeless, but not as many as other parks, but the bathrooms are absolutely filthy!!! There is also a huge feral cat population here. I would give the park a five stars if they cleaned the restroom area and make sure that the play structures and picnic areas were clean and free of litter.

Good park. It's huge. Mostly set up for sports. It's also the least shaded park I've ever seen in my life. The park wasn't bad. Not very populated if you're looking for a place to kinda get away, but it's still basically a baseball field in a desert.

  • 5/5 Michael L. 10 months ago on Google
Good park. We've been coming here a lot recently, but it's always pretty crowded, good place with activities. It's cool being right under where planes take off so you see them fairly close by. Being there during the golden hour is also ideal in my opinion.

  • 3/5 Miriam G. 10 months ago on Google
This park is beautiful and has a lot of potential. However doesn't seem like it's well taken care of. It's a very nice park and families are around. It has a little bit of everything a playground, water for kids to splash around in the summer, there's grass and you can do a small hike. It's beautiful, it sucks that it's also a home to homeless people. It's not very clean. Honestly the park has potential just needs more TLC.

  • 5/5 Coralee R. 3 years ago on Google
My dog enjoys the dog park. She's learning how to socialize. It's a big deal. She's 5 1/2 years old. Didn't like people or other dogs. She does love Kitty's though. The sector for dogs romping is clean, waste removal in designated areas, enclosed huge play area, and well taken care of. Very safe for this 7 lb bully. Lol

It's a great park but who ever maintenance is needs to fix the kennel gates that lead from one kennel to another. My dog got right through to other kennel . Other then that love this park

  • 3/5 T P. 3 years ago on Google
Decent park, has lights but only if you pay for them. The park is extremely packed, so I'd recommend you have a permit if you want to hold practice for whatever sport you are playing. It does get chilly at night when the sun goes down. It's also not in the best of neighborhoods so keeps your stuff locked up and be careful in the parking lot. One of our parents saw a syringe next to their car when we left.

This is our go-to walking track when we are in Vegas. We enjoy the scenery, mountains off in the west, the feral cat colony to the north. We enjoy observing the soccer, rugby and other practices that folks are engaged in. Most of the dog walkers are great about cleaning up after their pups, but some..... leave the mess on the concrete. Be responsible. *The folks that use the park/field need to be a bit more diligent about cleaning up their beverage bottles and cans. I occasionally I see a good Samaritan picking up trash only to return the next day...to more garbage. Lots of parking and restroom facilities nearby.
