We visited to see this tomb and found others that were also noteworthy and worth a look and a nod. The tribute to Florence Nightingale was one of those.

This is a beautiful church, and also boosts several families paintings in addition to being the burial place of Michaelangelo and Galileo. Lovely grounds.

Ornate tomb within the cathedral. Three figures represent the three arts Michaelangelo practiced - sculpture, painting and architecture.

Amazing to visit this place with so many famous tombs. Highly recommended.

Eine tolle Kirche und die Gräber sind sehr eindrucksvoll. Neben Michelangelo gibt es noch eine Reihe weitere Gräber berühmter Menschen. Es gibt eine kostenlose App die man herunterladen kann mit integriertem Audioguide. Auch der Kreuzgang ist schön.
