    At 11pm, my boyfriend and I went there because he has been experiencing symptoms that have progressively gotten worse. The check-in lady was nice, but it was only downhill from there. We get to the triage/the vitals station, and that lady refused to let my bf say all his symptoms, only allowing him to say one. Then we were in the waiting room After four hours in the waiting room, and watching four or five people that got there way after us get a room, we finally had one. 15-30 minutes later. The lady called a name and I asked her to repeat, she replied with "I wasn't talking to you. Your room will be free in a minute" in the rudest tone. We sat in the room for 45 minutes before someone came to see us. My boyfriend explained what was wrong and she basically told him it wasn't important and he shouldn't be there. Okay, we get it. But after waiting for another 30, the physician walked in. My boyfriend, once again, explained and she told him that it wasn't important even though he was literally experiencing lightheadeness and often unable to move from pain. She then tried to test him for kidney stones for a symptom that just popped up that wasn't bothering him too badly. She never gave us directions and left the room again. The second nurse who checked us that said we shouldn't be there returned and got onto us about not taking the urine test despite not being given directions. So, we decided we had enough and left. We wasted about five and a half to six hours of our time just to be told that my boyfriend isn't important enough to be seen for issues that cause him to not be able to get up in the morning or sometimes causes him to collapse. At 4am, my boyfriend and I had enough and we walked out. The nurses and physician we had were incredibly rude and didn't care about my boyfriend. I understand that some things are not in their area, but they didn't even offer an alternative. They simply belittled my boyfriend. The only people who were nice we're two young ladies who helped us check in and get out.

    My husband Cecil Rogers was in room 408. The nurses were amazing and took great care of my husband and I. The doctors were informative and truthful. The food was great. And the others that worked with him were great too. Thanks for a wonderful week with MUSC .

    Been to this location almost a month ago on several occasions complaining of chest pain and weakness and numbness associated with different parts of my body. Blood pressure was 155|105 and I wasn't given any meds to try to bring my pressure down and when they took my blood it started gushing on the floor..I was left in the room for almost an hr before anyone came to check on me. Then I was basically called a liar and told my condition wasn't basically that important. You can be half dead and they will still say nothing is wrong. I guess they help who they want to.

    As a spouse of a medical provider and a first time visitor to MUSC Florence I was pleasantly surprised at the ease of the check-in process, friendly and courteous staff along with cleanliness of the facility. A special shout out to David & Vonda for their on point update throughout my time in the waiting room and the special scan that was performed. Their passion, expertise and devotion to their profession was felt, seen, and much appreciated - thank you for all that you continue to do for families throughout the Florence and surrounding communities.     I went to the emergency room hoping for only fluids to rehydrate. I had the dry heaves for 2 days and now passing in and out if consciousness. After sitting for more than 5 hours with no help the head nurse finally said oh Mrs. Donaldson we do not have to treat covid paients. My question is why make me wait more than 5 hours to tell me they will not help me. Shame on all of you. I can not even find words to describe the amount anger I have at this point. None of you should be at peace with yourselves knowing how terrible you are to the public.

    I brought my mother to the ER, she is currently going thru radiation and she's very weak. I asked the security guard if there was a wheelchair she could use and the light skinned female guard said exact words: "we don't have wheelchairs". When we got inside there was a wheelchair inside. I am so disgusted that she could see my sick and frail mother struggling to walk and was too lazy to even point me in the direction I might find a wheelchair. She needs to be fired IMMEDIATELY. Absolutely DISGUSTING to treat anyone the way we were treated. The nurses were no better. My mom asked for help getting to the bathroom and they acted like it was a problem. They sent a man and I respectfully asked for a female. Which was a problem judging by her nasty facial expression. I ended up helping her but I'm male so it was uncomfortable. Her nasty facial expressions continued when my mother said she was cold. The level of unprofessional attitudes is absolutely unacceptable. I wouldn't go to this ER if I was dying. You need a full turnover of staff in the ER. Reading the other reviews, I see this is the standard of care you provide and that is just really really sad.

    I encountered some rude staff I will be contacting whoever is in charge of this Hospital. If you see this message please get in contact with me ASAP!!! I've been a patient with Carolina Hospital for over 16 years and always had a great experience. This new MUSC is horrible!!!!!! I see why they have BAD reviews!!! On top of this someone in this office messed up big time and I will be contacting the head person!!!!

    Extremely slow. You have to sit in agony for hours before nurses/doctors see you. The my chart app has the test results in hours before the doctor comes to see you. The hospital desperately needs to expand. Patients line the hall with no rooms and they’ve turned the medical supply room into a patient room. It’s impossible to get rest or be comfortable because nurses are in and out getting supplies. I’m positive it’s not the staffs fault but the situation itself is very sad & uncomfortable for patients. The hospital needs to expand & hire more staff because it’s resulting in negligence of the patients.

    Sitting in the emergency department. My husband dropped me off at 12:45pm. He had to stay with our infant son. It is currently 7:13pm. I have a blood clotting disorder. My leg is swollen and painful to touch. They've had me in the waiting room for over 6 hours. I only came because I thought I'd get better treatment here than at McLeod but I haven't gotten any treatment at all. They didn't even ask for my health history when working me up before sending me back to the waiting room hours ago.

    They will mislead you into things you don’t need and your insurance won’t cover. They don’t inform their patients correctly and then won’t take any responsibility for it. No one knows what they’re doing. Been at McLeod for years and we’ve never had these types of issues. We never should have given MUSC a try.

    I'm on the 7th floor the ac is not working. Been here all day with no relief from the heat. Why. Thanks for your rapid reply and coming to my room and explaining what was wrong and was repaired. Thumbs 👍 on every aspect.

    My son has been in the hospital (MUSC affiliated) since his accident April 1, 2023. Charleston MUSC is a good hospital. I dislike Florence hospital. The hospital is nasty, smelly, employees are rude most of them. You never know what is going on. If I could get my child moved to another facility I would. I wouldn't take my dog this hospital. You can never talk to a doctor. The only good doctor there is Dr. Safe on the 3rd floor ICU. Just saying if you need MUSC go to Charleston, SC. If you need a hospital in Florence SC go to McLeod.

    You better not get sick and have to go in the hospital if you can't afford the bill I was admitted from the ER into a room June 16, 2023 was passing blood in my stool was in the hospital until June 19, 2023 my only income is my monthly Social Security Check and all I have is Medicare I've told these people what I can afford to pay and I have been paying what I can they wanted more than what I could afford but I'm sending something and they keep threatening me with reporting it to the credit bureau even though im attempting to pay it i thought MUSC was supposed to be non-profit and funded through the state seems more like for-profit to me
