The owner is super friendly and a genius of the gelato art form. This place packs a bunch of flavors like "Chocolate Wine" you won't see anywhere else.

Although unimpressive from the outsider, this gelato shop serves some of the best gelato I’ve ever had. Simply incredible. I really liked the chocolate, caramel, and coffee flavors. The staff are super friendly as well. No price-gouging here either.

Possibly best gelato we’ve had in our entire lives (not just Italy). The pistachio is 10/10 for me—creamy, nutty, sweet but not too sweet. (We also got black sesame, milk chocolate, salted caramel, and ricotta and raspberry) My sister and I went multiple times in our short stay in Florence—this place is a must go. The same woman served us both times, always patiently and with a smile. Beautiful scoops and so cheap! Look at how perfectly even the two flavors split. Only the work of a gelato professional at my sugar.

Had gelato 12 straight days while in Italy across three cities (sometimes twice a day) and My Sugar was by far and away the best. It was perfectly balanced - not too light, not too heavy. My wife and I along with 10-15 others standing outside enjoying the gelato all agreed it was the best we’d had. Not only was the gelato great, but the owner was friendly and welcoming and also posed for a photo! A friendly experience with an excellent product. A true win win!

If you like gelato, you eventually get to the conclusion that it’s not easy to compete with big chains, because they can source good ingredients easier. But this one small shop succeeds in rising up to the challenge, and offers you an unique homemade gelato experience, just like you were able to get in the 90’s and before. Can confirm this is the best gelato in Florence! This shop has won several awards and you can genuinely taste the cream, eggs and sugar in each flavor. I read in an article somewhere that they only handmade their gelato in small batches. I had the pistachio and it was deep, rich, nutty and earthy with a hint of sweetness. Definitely prioritize going here.

We were visiting from San Francisco for our honeymoon. We ordered the mango, pistachio, and hazelnut flavors. All tasted very natural with perfect texture. We would easily come here again.

Definitely a must-visit if you're in the area. The pistachio gelato was creamy and decadent, but not overly sweet. The yogurt flavour was light and tangy- perfect for a hot, summer day. Service was excellent and you can't beat the price.

The gelato was good. Creamy texture. Prices were reasonable too. Had black sesame seeds, crema fiorentina and biscoff lotus.

This is the best Caramelo Salato Gelato I’ve ever tasted in my whole life. It was just perfect, the right amount of salty caramel with excellent smoothness and excellent price. Also the Straciatella and Oreo gusti were great. Amazing customer service.

Very small shop located a bit further than the touristic areas. It was hidden behind construction fences but since we got recommended, we found it. The service was kind and sweet. The gelato was very tasty. The fruit ones were great. I got one scoop of chocolate with wine and it wasn’t really for my palate.

4.75 | Gelato is incredibly smooth with a great mouth feel and perfect levels of flavor. After trying many other gelatos we ended up coming back here for more. They have a wide selection of flavors that are constantly rotating. Worth checking out when in Florence!

If you're looking for a gelateria, stop now and go here. The gelato is so creamy and the flavors are amazing. We got the biscoff + milk chocolate and rose + crema and we loved our cones. Highly recommend!! There were also two stools to sit and enjoy the gelato as it was FREEZING outside.

This is by far my most favourite Gelateria in Florence!! I have tried many places here but I have always had a problem with gelato being a little too sweet! Here at My Sugar they have some really good flavours plus the perfect sweetness. My most recommended flavour would be match latte and chai latte!!. If you are in Florence, this is a must try for sure! Very good service and good rates for the gelato as well.Totally worth the visit.

Amazing gelato shop! We came here on our last night in Rome and I'm sad about that as I would have loved to come back a second time. They have great flavours and after visiting many gelato shops, this was the only place that had matcha and it was SO GOOD! Will have to come back next time I'm in Rome!

They have green tea/matcha flavor which I have never seen at other gelateria! Also their mango flavor is not sour. Pistachio is very strong flavor and creamy. Lovely and friendly little store.

Wow- incredible gelato! We stopped by after a visit to the academia and got several flavors. All of the fruit flavors were decadent and the dark chocolate was perfect. They even had gluten free cones! Highly recommend stopping by! Update: After trying 6+ gelato spots while in Florence, we all determined this was our favorite of all. The flavor and consistency was just perfect! I’m sad I don’t live here and can get this more often.

Fantastic home-made gelato. Don't expect any fancy variations, though. They stick to the basics (16 varieties when I went), but do them very well. Every variety ist just a little bit different then you expect it to be. By far the best gelato I came across during my Italy trip...and I tried a LOT.

Very smooth gelato with a unique selection of fruity, sweet, and savory flavors. I had the salted caramel which tasted mostly of sweet cream with a hint of caramel, and pistachio which was perfectly nutty. This gelateria is small enough you might walk right by it. They have a few seats on the side of the street.

We loved the flavours served at My Sugar, we tried three flavours, for 4 euros. The flavours included mango, matcha latte and black sesame (their popular flavour). The gelato was creamy, rich and smooth. The flavours for all three flavours were really highlighted perfectly. The flavours were nicely balanced and not too sweet and overpowering. Definitely a place I would recommended to everyone to try! Great value as well for the size and number of flavours you get to choose from!

Best gelato we've had in Florence (so far). Seems like a very nice local shop. They had good flavor options and decent prices. The best part was just how creamy it was!! We may have to stop by again before we leave!
