First trip to Florence and to Italy and I will stay here again. The hotel is updated, clean, centrally located within walking distance to everything in town. You don't need a car. The reception staff is very responsive and helpful. Great breakfast included and the hospitality staff were kind and genuine. Everyone was fantastic! See you all again and thank you for the wonderful accommodations!

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights. The hotel staff were great. The room was lovely and the breakfast had all the staples. The wifi was mediocre and the beds were pushed together to make a larger bed, which was okay but one of the beds was a different height then the other. Overall, it was a good stay with an excellent location.

Wonderful, clean hotel. The rooms were spacious. The complimentary breakfast had a wide variety of options including fresh meat, cheese, pastries, and juices. It is close to many restaurants and the central market.

Our stay at the Hotel Orto De Medici in Florence was fantastic. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Rooms were very nice and comfortable. We spent the day in Cinque Terra and our bus back to the hotel was running late, we had reservations for dinner and were going to be about 1/2 hour late for dinner. When we arrived back at the hotel I asked if they could call the restaurant and let them know we would be running late so we could get ready. They readily agreed to call for us. By the time we got ready and passed by the front desk they told us they had spoken with the restaurant and that everything was fine and the restaurant was expecting us. Checking in was a breeze. We were early for check in. They stored our bags so we could go tour Florence. When we returned the room was ready and our bags were already in the room. I highly recommend if you are staying in Florence to stay at the Hotel Orto De Medici. Breakfast was also great. 5-10 minute walk from the train station.

This boutique hotel is an hidden gem in Florence city center. We have had a luxury, spacious room, renovated with a classic and not overwhelming taste, in a bourgeois and sleek area of the center of Florence; extremely peaceful whilst the Cathedral is just some steps away… really a good find! The owner and all the staff has really made everything to help us build great memories of our holiday; absolutely worth the staying. Can’t wait to be back soon.

We stayed for two nights and had a lovely trip to Firenze! Service is excellent, so friendly. I have trouble with sleeping in soft beds...this bed is super comfortable, made for a good nights sleep.The breakfast was unbeliveable...So many delicious pastries along with traditional breakfast. And complementary drinks our first night. Best hotel I have had the good fortune to stay in. Grazie. Hope to visit again someday.

This was a great hotel to stay at. It was 5-star service and in a great location. The team at the front desk was above and beyond great. The location is towards the edge of what I would recommend for staying “in centro”, but Florence is pretty small so it’s still only a 15 minute walk to all of the major sites. The room was spacious and clean. The shower was large and luxurious. The air conditioning worked and was able to get and keep the room cold all night. The breakfast was very good both days and there was fresh squeezed orange juice. If you’re going to rent a car, or planning on driving to the hotel to drop-off/pick-up luggage, make sure you register it with the front desk before you arrive. Downtown Florence has strict no-congestion rules “ZTL”, if you don’t follow them correctly you will be fined by camera/mail. There’s no parking downtown, other than paid garages.

My husband and I renewed our 35th wedding vows at the most perfect and romantic hotel in Florence. The staff and service was professional and welcoming. We reserved 8 rooms and my family loved every aspect of the hotel. Our renewal ceremony and reception was held at this beautiful hotel. The gardens and the rooms are just elegant with a touch of warmth. The staff truly makes you feel special. There is no other place like the Hotel Orto De Medici. The location is perfect; you can walk to great restaurants, grocery store and shopping venues. I must mention, the breakfast selection and taste is great!

Hotel Orto De Medici is the BEST! The quality, cleanliness, and kindness received is truly remarkable for such an affordable price point. I stayed in different regions of Italy over a 3-week period. Orto De Medici was my favorite. So much so that I returned to spend the last days of my trip in Florence and at Orto. I called after having some undesirable issues with the hotel where I was to spend my final nights. They were able to book for me their very last remaining room. My favorite front desk gals welcomed me back with their kind smiles. They showed genuine interest and concern for me. My room wasn't ready but I was able to leave my luggage so I could hot the city. I returned to find that I was in a stunning large suite overlooking the garden, champagne on ice, a note expressing they were happy to have me back and some chocolates. I was blown away! Cleanliness is proven throughout the hotel. I'm well-traveled and have stayed at some phenomenal 5-star luxury hotels. Hotel Orto De Medici is a standout- my bedroom and bathroom were pristine- the cleanest accommodations I have ever experienced. That goes for my basic room and suite. I have to attribute that to the amazing hotel staff and my girl, Eugenia! As a solo traveler and Italy first timer, there were days I didn't know what to wear due to weather and respect of the churches. Each morning I would walk out of my room and show her my two outfit options. I think she got a kick out of it! We don't speak the same language BUT we created a bond. So much so we would have the front desk translate. She is the sweetest woman, friendly, and hands down provides guests with THE cleanest accommodations. The kindness I experienced from Eugenia spans across the hotel staff. I loved the front desk agents! Always smiling, accommodating and kind. They provided me a sense of home. I really wanted to convey how incredible everyone is that works at Orto De Medici! There are a ton of reviews highlighting their amazing amenities, breakfast, prime location, affordable price. Those are not to be overlooked but in my opinion those who work at Hotel Orto De Medici have made it all possible. I'm returning, this time with my husband, next October. Love that I can call this hotel my Florence home! Don't think- Just Book!

Great location, beautiful room with a stellar view, and delicious breakfast spread. But where this hotel really shines is their accommodating, friendly, gracious staff. We were greeted warmly by Alazne upon arrival. She was so very delightful, knowledgeable, and helpful--making suggestions about nearby sites and restaurants. When I come back to Florence, I will stay here time and time again. Wonderful experience!

Beautiful hotel in a lovely location. All the staff was warm and friendly. The hotel is so pretty and was immaculate. Comfort, service, and cleanliness were all top-notch. Breakfast was included and was delicious with so many options to choose from. I look forward to returning!

I can’t recommend this hotel enough. They deserve a 5 star hotel rating for their quality of rooms, amenities, breakfast, and stellar customer service. The location is a 10-15 minute walk from most major sites in Florence which makes it an excellent hub. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The bathroom in particular was stunning with a massive walk in shower and a separate large tub. I wish we had more time here and I’d stay again on a next visit!

The breakfast was absolutely delicious to wake up to every morning. It is in a perfect location to everything in Firenze but also quiet at night. The staff is very kind and we will definitely love to come back!

Very nice and well located hotel for seeing the city of Florence. Soft beds, great staff, and easy to get to/from. Didn’t eat the breakfast but it smelled amazing every morning when we were leaving. All the sites, the big attractions at least, are south of this hotel. The best food is also located south, and there is no shortage of that just outside the door and down the street a bit. A huge thing for me was the bedding. I have never felt a softer bed in a hotel and for the first time ever traveling I woke up without a stiff back or neck and actually felt well rested. The staff was also very helpful in pointing out where to go and how to get there. I forget the gentleman’s name who worked in the evening, but my wife and I found him to be extremely helpful with food recommendations. Next time we visit Florence we will most definitely being staying here.

Loved our stay here in the heart of Firenze! Beautiful room with an amazing balcony view, very spacious and a nice light and airy atmosphere. The staff was so amazing and kind, and the free breakfast buffet was impressive. Hope to come back again in the future!

Everything about our stay at the Hotel De’ Medici was fantastic. The staff greeted us kindly. Our room with a balcony was absolutely lovely…. clean, spacious, inviting. Breakfast each morning included a wide array of quality options for guests. They even surprised us with a bottle of champagne to celebrate my husband’s birthday. Highly recommend this charming hotel.

My family stayed at Hotel Orto De' Medici for 4 nights recently and we had a fantastic time. Hotel is modern, secure and very clean. We stayed in a junior suite which is surprisingly spacious for the 4 of us. Good location, good air conditioning. Hotel reception is very friendly and helpful. Room service is also very accommodating. Free popsicle, free drinks in mini fridge. Breakfast is good too, although more choices will be better. But honestly, it is a great place to stay in Florence and I have absolutely nothing to complain. Definitely one of the best and comfortable hotels I stayed in recent years. Will definitely go back if I visit Florence again.

After a very poor stay in Venice, this hotel was a breath of fresh air. Absolutely beautiful, comfortable and luxurious. Perfectly located and the staff was so sweet to our five year old daughter. The afternoon happy hour was fun and the breakfast was incredible! I can't say enough good things about it. This is THE place to stay in Florence. We're already planning on coming back.

My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights in the middle of an intense heatwave. The hotel was the perfect location, just outside of the main areas for rest and cooling down. The AC in the room is good for Italy. The hotel feels very modern, super clean and premium. We had great sleeps in the comfortable bed and linens. We'd definitely stay again!

Arrived early on train from Bologna and easily walked to the hotel from the train station. We were warmly greeted and stowed our luggage to go out and start exploring Florence. The hotel is ideally situated on a nice street away from the massive crowds. When we returned late in the the afternoon, tired from touring, we found they had upgraded us to a junior suite and our luggage was already in our room #38, which was spectacular. Large and spacious with plenty of lights and outlets and very comfortable bed and beautiful bathroom. We enjoyed the complimentary welcome drink in their bar and the included buffet breakfast was delicious and all of the staff so friendly and helpful. We love this hotel in every way and are so grateful we chose it and would definitely chose it again. Highly recommend.

Our second time here, and would not hesitate to come again. Beautiful comfortable room over looking the garden (junior suite). Large shower and tub, almost unheard of in italy. Breakfast to die for with the best cappuccinos and amazing customer service throughout. And the location is great too.

Orto de Medici proved to be an EXCELLENT hotel for our stay. Great service (with a smile always) at the front desk. The rooms were very comfortable and contemporary. The daily breakfast was a great way to start the day. No doubt that I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel to all our friends and relatives.

Perfect location only a 10 minute walk from the centre. The staff are so lovely and helpful especially Judith. Rooms are always clean from the cleaners changing your sheets and towels daily. View from our balcony was amazing we was on the top floor. The breakfast buffet is 100% worth It! We loved our stay and will defiantly be staying here when we come back again:)

Fantastic hotel! Centrally located with many restaurants nearby, and beautiful spacious rooms. I booked a room with a balcony and it was great! The outdoor terrace is also lovely. The staff are very friendly and helpful, so we had such a great stay here. Definitely would stay here again!

Very elegant hotel in a great location: city centre but just outside of the busy pedestrian main squares. Staff is extremely nice and available. We had a small issue with our room that was readily fixed and a discount was offered: incredibly professional! Breakfast is great, both in terms of food and drink availability, but also location. The only low I could find was that our room's window looked into an internal shaft so we had zero view or direct light.
