My review is about the different standard that I'm used to at Virgin Active in Australia. Positive: Friendly and attentive reception and willing to help out and knows the process about completing the health check for members from abroad. The gym is clean and tidy and the members seem to know the queue in maintaining it that way. You have all the weights and cardio machine you need. Reception lets me borrow a padlock. Negative: No towel hire even if you do pay. You have to buy a towel or bring your own. Another point that is bizzare is that there is no water bubbler/refill station. I asked and they said to do it in toilet. Does that mean needs to buy water or bring a filled bottle from home? The gym's purpose is for servicing the suburbs outside the Florence city centre.

Ciao Virgin Active, San Donato Italia, Worst Experience, insulted by their staff on last Sunday 20/01/2023 and also ignored today by same staff at reception, not even an apologetic behavior. What a discrimination. Hats off to the customer services. Seems Like I am paying for my Insult. Felt discriminated these days. and really disappointed. Trying to figure out how to cancel the membership. This review is for all the foreigners who are thinking or planning to join. Grazie.

Great gym, there's a swimming pool and spa inside it well. A bit expensive but it's worth it. I recommend going with a one year plan that is under 90 Euros a month

Don’t understand how the gym closes at 7pm … should be even 24/7 like all big gyms in the world .

All staff are very competent and respectful. Really deserves to be tried and you will see the difference. Cleaning and hygiene is also really respected by all members.

terrible service terrible staff don’t waste your money here i registered for 3 months after 3 months they renewed my contract for one year without telling me and they withdrew cash of my bank account….is it fraud or what?????????

Very nice and spacious gum , newest technogym machines ... always clean and lots of classes from pilates yoga and cross training like ..

Large, large clean gym with pool, saunas and more. Pleasant atmosphere. For every recommendation.

Really great classes but the customer service is the worst I have ever experienced. They don’t provide you the right information, you become a premium and they don’t give you any of the items you’re supposed on top of it charge for a padlock which should be part of the package. You get dismissed, I was overcharged on my membership and when I questioned it I was given attitude!

I've been going to this gym for almost a year now. Great gym quality, friendly staff, nice bar/lounge. Also they do explain necessary things in English if needed so there is no stopper.

an excellent gym for all types of sports, p.s. bring your own towels and lock for the locker, kinda gets busy after working hours

It’s got all the amenities you need and a 25m pool. It’s never over crowed. Lots of options for classes as well.
