Such a popular place for young people and artists to hang out. Cheap apperitivo (7 euro for drink and unlimited buffet food). They often have free music and concerts on the outdoor stage and there is a free art gallery in the old prison. Great place to hang outside and drink in the nice weather. Also a fusball table if you're up for a competition with friends!

Whether to just have a drink in the large courtyard or attending a performance, or just checking out the redevelopment work of the old city, it is a great example of urban renewal and fun place to be after visiting 300 churches in town.

Cosy and calm, perfect for working or studying. Loved the light in the yard, it went beautifully with their delicious wine.

This place was not very American friendly. Lots of Italians there, and they seemed to enjoy it. Didn't look like there were many traditional apperitivo drinks and no food offered. You needed to pay up front and carry your drink to the table.

Beautiful location, with an amazing relaxed atmosphere and plenty of space. Lots of tables, plenty of sun or shade, as you prefer! Drinks were great, cocktails crafted with care. The bartender (Monica?) was super friendly! Highly recommended!

Little hidden place just a bit far away from the center. You want to escape from the busy city center and sit around students working,... this is the place! The staff was super kind and they have a lot to offer for drinks! Often there are some fun things to do and always nice to sit and relax on there fun hanging benches.

Fun place to watch a soccer game. Outdoor seating. Big projection screen up front. Option of buffet with a drink or pizza a la carte. There was a long line because there was only one bartender. The food was so so for the small buffet but it's only 15€ with a drink.people seemed happy with their pizza choices

An ancient prison repurposed to be the Murate Art District (MAD), there are small exhibitions on daily. See parts of the old prison as well. There’s a pleasant little cafe to enjoy an espresso, beer, cocktail or spritz during the day.

Great drink options, incredible area and view. Famous architect Renzo Piano designed the cafe addition and apartment balcony additions in this piazza. The piazza is very lively and a fun place to hangout any time of the day.

Location perfect, organisation and how the space is managed a bit less, it’s a bit chaotic and staff is not trained fully for service. Prices decent though.

One of my favorite places in Florence to read a book in the afternoon, hang out with friends at night, listen to live music. Unique atmosphere, unique location. Very good place for wheelchairs and a disabled people's restroom. Kind service.

Restaurant is ok. Seems like most people including many students go to enjoy the many outdoor tables in the public space near the restaurant. I have a broken bone in my foot and elevated it for awhile protecting the simple plastic chair with my jacket. Some old guy who seemed to be a passerby came and berated me over that. Very unpleasant.

Cool area where we had cocktails late in the evening. Recommended if you want to get away from the more touristy streets closer to the duomo.

Came here for an espresso and a drink. It was a perfect respite from all the walking and it was a great spot to just chill and people watch. This spot is away from a lot of the touristy things and is usually filled with locals, which adds to the chill atmosphere.

A bar in the site of a former prison. Has tables/outdoor seating in the courtyard with the high old brick walls the prisoners looked at every day. Really cool environment.

Amazing setting. Great coffee, great place to have a meeting or accomplish some work. Peaceful and full of character.
