VIP Lounge Firenze Airport

Bar Lounge

😐 Decent size and layout for a small airport, but the food options, cleaning and coffee machines should be improved. More fruit, less plastic-wrapped foods and some local food options would be well received. 2 of the 3 coffee machines were out of service and the food was not being refilled. The bath... People often mention lounge, coffee, drinks, airport, selection, good, options, small, clean, staff,

Wow! This lounge is shocking. They let anyone in. Its overcrowded with older travelers forced to sit on the ground. The food and drinks choices are terrible. And the staff dont care, letting more and more people in, regardless. And theres a drip through the roof. If the rest of Florence airport wasn’t overcrowded, no one would brave the awful fug and atmosphere here

Like I read online I would say the function of this lounge is first and foremost to get away from the crowds at the underdeveloped FLR airport. Lounge is not too bad with a selection of food and clean air and nice interior. But it doesn't have top score because it is just not cozy and relaxing. Also no hot food. Selection of beer, wines, martini and gin. Be wary that the name of the lounge on signs in the terminal is Sala VIP.

A very basic lounge. Staff is friendly and professional and the lounge is very clean. Limited choice of food and beverage. Food is not good.

Lounge that is unequipped to deal with the large amounts of passengers it allows into it. There weren’t enough seats for everyone (granted we were warned before we swiped our lounge keys, but still!) There was air conditioning but I still felt sticky and warm. Food and salads in the fridge are tasteless. Possibly the worst pasta and salad I’ve tried in years. Pastries decent but nothing to shout about, and food + drinks served on disposable plates - super environmentally unfriendly. No showers (common for small airports). Would not recommend this lounge if you can avoid it. Plus point: toilets are kept clean and are spacious.

Small lounge with limited selection of heavily packaged food. Food was very plain and pastas contained no sauce or flavour, sandwiches just 1 ingredient (ham or cheese) with no spread. Drinks were limited as well - the fridge was 1/3 stocked and drinks were warm. Tables took a while to be cleared after someone left so lounge was generally untidy and not cleaned properly

Better than expected. Food was ok'ish. Good selection of drinks though. Excellent coffee. The day I was there it was a bit crowded. Seating is good with sockets/USB next to nearly every seat.

I think this is the ONLY lounge in the airport so don’t expect much. They allow pretty much ALL airlines’ business class passengers and Priority Pass holders in (which means pretty much everybody lol?). Small selection of food (I think it’s mostly cold sandwiches and some pastry). We traveled in Dec so no problem getting in/not crowded at all. But I can imagine it might be an issue during peak tourist season. Just lower your expectation and you should be fine. Plus sometimes staying outside a lounge isn’t the end of the world.

I really liked the place, staff was very friendly and always served with a smile. There were a lot of options to drink. Given the size of the airport, it was worth it.

Very poor choice of food and drinks, and not tasty... There aren't tables in the lounge and very uncomfortable... Florence Airport deserves a much better business lounge.. Strongly disappointed!

Very limited food selection which looked dry. Wine low quality beer option not provided. Was quiet and clean.

Good selection of food, all packaged in single portions, no external view. The lounge is not very spacious and tends to be crammed during peak hours. It's the only option in this airport and it's acceptable. Wine, beers, spirits available.

The quality of Priority Pass lounges has steadily been declining over the years but post pandemic there was definitely a huge decrease in quality. At a recent experience in Florence there was barely food (think one poor plain old croissant along side a non working coffee machine) and the lounge condition has seen better days, including cleanliness. Priority Pass should be ashamed to charge customers for this, if anything they should be discounting the membership fees as quality decreases.

Ok lounge for a small airport. Food not great and overall everything a bit tight. Clean and well air conditioned though

It wouldn’t be a bad lounge per se. The problem is that they let so many people in - business class, status holders, priority pass, other cardholders of various kinds - that it’s extremely crowded, with no free seats available. I don’t even bother going in anymore.

Great lounge, with everything you need while you wait for your flight. It accepts multiple airlines’ members. The food is of good quality (fair variety of choices between sweet and salty). Wine, soda, water, and coffee is also available. The staff is extremely kind and makes you feel welcome. Another great feature of this lounge is that it is located directly in front of Gate 1 and all the other gates are not too far either.

Quiet lounge... Decent food and drink but not enough for a meal. The to go sandwiches mentioned by others seem to no longer be offered here.

I'm a platinum member and well travelled, I can honestly say this is one of my favourite lounges, good food, good WiFi, nice and quiet to work also. Plenty power points for charging, flight information widely displayed around the lounge.

Small but comfortable. Simple snacks and drinks available. Plenty of plugs to charge items.

Small but sufficient. Not a lot of food options in the morning (mostly pastries), but there was fresh cut fruit and yogurt in the refrigerator. Many canned beverages on offer, as well as a machine for water and coffee. When I was there, they also had fresh pressed juice in a dispenser. I wouldn't pay out of pocket to enter, but all in all, perfectly fine place to wait for a flight if you have access already.

I travel very often and I come here twice a month since I live in Tuscany and always depart and comes back in Florence airport. There's so much to be improved. Compared to some other VIP lounges in some other countries, this is certainly not one of the bests. I hope it will improve.

Fairly basic selection of refreshments - red and white wine, beer on tap, coffee, simple sandwiches, croissants, small salads that look like they will expire soon. Seating is OK, each pair of seats shares a power+2xUSB outlet.

It's so full during the day that at entry, we got informed that there are no seats available. So you have to stand against the wall, waiting (with a bunch of other people) for someone to leave for approaching boarding, so you might get lucky and take a seat. During not so busy hours, off-season, it's a nice lounge with the selection of local wines. And some plastic wrapped snacks.

The lounge can’t cope with the number of passengers at Florence Airport when the change in wind direction causes airlines to offload passengers. The lounge didn't have sufficient seating, served us on paper plates, used plastic cups, and staff left cleaning equipment standing around in the middle of walkways. The lounge felt very cramped because it didn’t have windows, and it consisted of multiple small rooms.

Average lounge with bad food. The airport was crowded so this was a good way to get a seat while we waited. Checkin was easy and lots of room. However the place clearly looked dated and unwelcoming. The "sandwiches" consisted of stale bread with the tiniest slices of meat. The pastries were a little better. Also a fridge of salads that were not fresh at all. Ended up buying nearby food to bring back.

Has the basic accommodations, like coffee drinks and snacks. Missing some food choices and a good American coffee. When in Italy, espresso but I'm still really glad in a long coffee. So that's why only 4 stars is given. Service from personnel is excellent, and god seats. Not far from gates so 2 min slow walk. Can sit here all the way up to boarding.

Plenty of available seating between 11h and 12h due to the low volume of flights at that moment. Very limited options for cold drinks in a fridge that's cumbersome to open. At least the pastries were plenty and tasty. Might not have visited if I'd have had to pay the €35 entrance fee.

Food was underwhelming, the sweet treats were better than the savoury items. But it was quiet and calm and there were plenty of drink options, plus the toilets were really nice.

  • 2/5 Fernando C. 1 year ago on Google
The lounge is tiny and way too small for the volume of passengers it handles. We could barely find any spots to sit when we got there, and as time went by, it was so crowded that people were simply standing up or sitting on tables. Only food options are unattractive looking sandwiches in bags. Staff is friendly, but the lounge needs to be expanded and food options increased.

Now closed, but referring to when it was open. Great lounge, quiet comfortable, a lot of personal space, very clean, nice selection of food and drinks and the staff always very nice and helpful, have been there many times, also with a baby and always felt very welcome and helped with anything I needed. I don't understand some of critics I've read, I actually think here is way better than many bigger airports lounges in the Schengen terminals. Hope will reopen soon

Some of the staff were great, some quite unfriendly. There was no juice or squash Soft drinks were limited to water or carbonated sugary drinks. Food and snacks were good. Coffee was OK, no better. Surprisingly, no hot chocolate. Screens for the flights were good and there were plenty of charging points. Seats were comfy.
