There’s absolutely nothing 4 stars about this hotel. Room layout is weird, and you can see signs of damages in the room (exposed / broken off wood pillars, broken faulty sockets). It’s also quite a distance from the city centre, 25 mins by foot.

After reading the negative reviews, we were pleasantly surprised to be met by very kind, welcoming and uncomplicated staff, who organised two rooms on they second floor. The rooms are a little aged, but clean, big, stylish with a huge comfortable bed, good mattress and pillows. Shower and minibar worked with no problem. The rooms also featured good sized bathroom with a bath. The size of the rooms was large. There is a modern TV which lets you play your media from the phone wirelessly. The parking garage is large enough for SUVs. The staff even offers a welcome drink. Unfortunately we stayed only for one night and could not experience the dinner and breakfast (we were a little tired and slept in), but they promised to be amazing. The distance to the sights is reasonable and getting there is uncomplicated. I enjoyed staying at this hotel! Overall great value for what you get.

Great hotel with warm and welcoming staff. Brilliant breakfast offering and the rooms are very good if a little unique in design…. Easy & straightforward walk to the main attractions & 24-7 reception was helpful for our midnight check in after our flight

Travelled with a group of bike tourists. Good hotel with decent rooms. Generally speaking pleasant and efficient staff with the exception of two male receptionists working early afternoon July 29th, 22. They were extremely unfriendly and inflexible.

Staff were very friendly and very attentive nothing was too much trouble .Breakfast was a plentiful buffet with lots of fresh fruit and fried options and an assortment of drinks . Big shout out to Assunta big smile very friendly..The room was spacious and had the deepest bath I’ve ever seen !!!! Had a very good nights sleep in a large comfortable bed there is also a well stocked minibar . Being close to the Arno means mosquitos so make sure you take a plug in . The location was great for us 20 min walk through very atmospheric streets or a walk along the river anyway it wasn’t a problem.Big shout out to said a lovely friendly man he will look after you.Definitely come back .More And thank you to Emma at the bar to thank you all see you again Date of stay: June 2023

Horrible experience. Rooms were dingy, staff is very rude, the ACs don’t work - we asked our rooms to be changed twice because something or the other in the rooms was broken. The housekeeping came and did up our beds and left the rest of the room dirty with the trash from the previous day. I’m appalled. Their excuse was “the hotel is full, so we couldn’t clean your room.” No fresh towels even - absolute nonsense! The reception staff is the worst !! !! Do Not Stay Here !!

Two outstanding aspects of this hotel: the warm and wonderful service, and the design. The staff is lovely, and even when a bus load of tourists descended on breakfast, they kept their cool and kindness and still were very attentive. We really enjoyed having a nightcap on the quiet terrace. Saed, in the bar, was a joy-/so kind and attentive. We definitely will return.

A good hotel out of the noise and near the centro storico! but in the price of 200 euro per night it will be nice to have an omelette or fried eggs out of charge not with charge!!! first time in my life they charge me for an ommelet and fried eggs ..!! Also the Parking OUT of the Garage in the price of 20 euro per night it is EXPENSIVE for a client of the hotel..!!.. ALL THOSE IT IS MY OPINION TO BE BETTER ASA HOTEL BEACAUSE HAS THE POTENTIAL TO DO THAT..

The room was beyond hot, 29c in our room and it's October 2022 lol. AC didn't work and was told it isn't able to be turned on this time of year. Bathroom , mosaic tiles missing in lots of places which isn't great for look or hygiene. The staff were very nice though, moved us to a lower floor as it was cooler. Still no AC or screens on the windows for the mosquitoes. In general the hotel needs tlc and some bug screens and notice to guests that the AC doesn't work. Stand out staff member is the barman/waiter from Egypt. So helpful and friendly .

Ugh, dirty and grungy. Shower / bathroom is a nightmare. Need to taxi everywhere. Staff are indifferent. 2 star? Will never be back here. The bartender was friendly.

This hotel is trash. I'm only giving it 1 star for the friendly staff. The rooms are awful and have a wierd layout. The mattress was hard as a rock and I woke up with mysterious bug bites on my arms and legs. The shower and bathroom were the worst part. Absolutely disgusting and in need of renovation. This is not a four star hotel by any stretch. Stay away.

Pros: it is located at 20 minutes on foot from Uffizi; the breakfast is fine, fresh. Cons: ugly, dark rooms; water has no pressure ; the hotel' staff do not replace the towels when you let it on the floor, you have to go to the reception to ask for it; the coffee is horrible ; don't have mosquitoes net at the window, so you must keep the windows closed; pay attention at the bill, the staff tends to make mistakes. It is a 4 star hotel, but in reality is some where between 2 and 3 stars. About the city: pay attention to the scooters and bikes, they are everywhere; the city smells like garbage; all the restaurants are closed between 15 and 19 h; the food is excellent everywhere. LE Reply to UNA hotel: the other clients of UNA hotel had and have the same opinion as mine, the only difference is that they didn't comment it on Maps, they just prefer not to come back. Please redesign and modernize the rooms and I will be more than happy to reward you with 5 stars. Thank you

Good location if you travel by car as this hotel is outside the ztl and has parking. Rooms are big and have a nice design but need a little bit of refreshing. Big and comfortable beds. Will be returning next time we visit Florence.

Nice find. Neighbourhood is quiet, staff are accommodating and helpful. Barman very kind and friendly. Breakfast is tasty and coffee good. Rooms are small but comfortable. Decor will not be to everyone’s taste think late 90’s.

EDIT: The staff at front desk asked to personally speak to me to resolve the issue and I agreed to talk to them. They were informed from my original review (below) that the AC wasn't working and got it fixed. It's much cooler and enjoyable in our room and honestly that really makes a world of difference in how I feel about this place. No need for windows to be open now, so it's not a worry. Bugs still in the room, getting bit at night. Showers are still awful. I’m 6’1” with broad shoulders and I hit the wall when I turn around in it. I realize this is all structural stuff the staff can’t fix right now. They also apologized to me for the rudeness and said they wanted to offer us free beverages and a small get together tonight to make it better. It was a very kind gesture and I appreciated the transparent approach to the situation. The layout is still interesting and the style is horribly questionable but the staff did do their best to amend the immediate and most concerning issues, so I changed my review from a 2 star review to a 3 star review. Thank you for being willing to make our stay more enjoyable! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ORIGINAL: I’m lying here at 1:00 AM at night wondering if the air conditioning will ever kick on. It’s probably 80 degrees in our room because the ceilings and walls are covered in terrifying carpet and you cannot open the windows because there is no screen. No screen = bugs all over the room. Also, bathroom floor is sticky and gross. One wall is a giant mirror which is a unnecessary design choice. Opened window for 10 seconds and now bugs are flying in my ears. This hotel resembles a haunted mansion and tries to place form over function (and does it mediocre at best). Location is good and most of the staff is friendly. Front desk guy rolls his eyes at you and makes you feel less than sometimes when you ask for stuff. The janitor (who I figure cleans the rooms) was very friendly though when we needed something! That janitor won you a star!

Beautiful hotel, very helpful staff, quirky, arty decorations & furniture. Breakfast is hot or cold, gluten free available with only 10 minutes notice. Loads of options. Rooms are very well appointed, large beds, large TV. Mini bars. Wet room showers. Recommended.

Beautiful accommodation with very friendly staff. The city center is just a few minutes away (walking distance). We arrived with an electric vehicle and the hotel has two Tesla destination chargers (which is a huge plus if you drive an EV). We loved our stay at the hotel and enjoyed the delicious breakfast.

We loved our stay here. The moment we walked in, we were greeted with a smile. All of the staff we dealt with were fantastic. Our room was large and more than enough for the two of us. The hotel location is good, not too close to the hustle and bustle of the inner city but close enough to easily become part of it. The breakfast was really enjoyable. One night was not enough, we will definitely be back.

Loved our stay here. Very cool and quirky hotel tucked into a quieter corner of Firenze to escape to after a day among the crowds on the other side of the river. Our room was exceptional, the layout and decor impressive without detracting from the functionality of the space. Returning from a day out we enjoyed a quiet drink downstairs at the bar, another area in keeping with the fun but relaxed feel of the hotel. Breakfast was fantastic.

Beware this is by no means a 4 star hotel. It's definitely a 2 orn3 star hotel at best!
