👍👍 An incredible discovery on Lungarno Serristori, an entire house completely furnished with precious works. The guided tour is necessary to fully understand the history of this particular place. Noteworthy, in the room formerly used as a dining room, is the oil on canvas by Pietro Liberi - from 1600 -... People often mention house, Siviero, museum, visit,

An incredible discovery on Lungarno Serristori, an entire house completely furnished with precious works. The guided tour is necessary to fully understand the history of this particular place. Noteworthy, in the room formerly used as a dining room, is the oil on canvas by Pietro Liberi - from 1600 - with an allegory where truth triumphs over slander. Not to be missed.

He was the James Bond of the art world; his background is very impressive as is his home museum and its lovely collection. It’s quite impressive and very interesting, it’s very well preserved and displayed. It’s an educational and historically uniquely underrated museum. I really enjoyed my time here and I would definitely recommend visiting it.

The museum is the home of Rodolfo Siviero, a secret agent of the Italian government. Entrance is free but it is only open on certain days of the week, including Saturday and Sunday. The advice is to consult the website to make sure it is open. The house is on four floors but at the moment the visit only concerns the ground floor. The route allows not only to visit the various environments, from the rooms, to the hall, up to Siviero's study but also to retrace the history of 007 of Italian cultural heritage. A visit that I found really interesting and that I recommend both to those who are passionate about the history of Siviero and the so-called Monuments men, and to those who want to visit one of the so-called "minor" museums of Florence. The visit is also possible for people with disabilities

A nice discovery in less confusing Florence. A collection of a curious man, responsible for the return to Italy of many works of art stolen by the Nazis. A unique sensation to browse some of his photos, military representatives with the stolen works, turn them over and see "secret" written. In addition to this, many drawings and paintings by De Chirico, a friend of the owner and frequenter of the house. It's really worth the short walk it takes to get there, about a kilometer from the Ponte Vecchio

Really well organized and maintained museum that was once the house of a secret agent. The guy obviously had great taste and even greater connections to be able to collect all those items, be it paintings or statues, columns, blades and so on. The place is open only on saturdays. the 2 knowledgeable and courteous caretakers gave is a great tour of the house. They told us it will be temporarily closed starting next year for renovations.

Unfortunately, a little-known place, the region should publicize and protect it, especially for the value of the works present that Siviero himself has recovered over the years. A still unrecognized 007. The caretaker/guide was very kind and fundamental in understanding all the works present and the life of Siviero himself who in his legacy allowed everyone to enter his house for free. Thanks again to our guide who passionately guided us during the visit.

Beautiful home with personal art from family, friendships and commitment. His sister painted the birds in the corridor. Art from Roman to early 20th century. Committed, knowledgeable staff that provide information on the art and its owner.

Although it lies only a short walk away from the Ponte Vecchio, this must be one of the least visited museums in Florence, which is a shame, for it is full of good things. The museum comprises the eclectic personal collection of Rodolfo Siviero, who died in 1983. The artefacts, which include Ancient Roman busts, medieval wooden statues, Renaissance and Baroque paintings and antique furniture, are arranged in half a dozen or so small rooms on the ground floor of the house in which Siviero once lived.

Little charming museum with an amazing gallery of paintings and sculptures. Among them, some De Chirico's.

Museo piccolo e gratuito, un po' fuori dal percorso di visita usuale e con orari che limitano le possibilità di visita. La collezione è molto interessante. Consigliato a chi si trova già in zona e ha mezz'ora libera
