Museum of Masonic symbols

Tourist attraction Museum

🫤 Unfortunately it is not worth the ticket price. It offers a fair amount of Masonic uniforms, but beyond that, the descriptions and explanations of the place are very vague. The environments of the temples are made with the smurfs... original, but they would also need more information. People often mention collection, Masonic, museum, della, Freemasonry, history, private, visit, molto,

A unique space. A vast collection by Cristian Franceschini, who runs the museum, of all types of items, accessories, ornaments, aprons, necklaces, symbolic instruments, costumes, portraits, canvases, jewelry, books... on Freemasonry since the 18th century divided on a main floor, two upper floors with a simulation of the Chamber of Reflection and a Masonic temple, and other exhibition rooms accessed by elevator, not suitable for claustrophobics. Highly recommended for anyone who likes and is interested in the history of Freemasonry or history in general.

This is an absolutely fascinating museum, I was here a couple of years ago and I can only image how much better it is now. It’s has an amazing collection of Masonic memorabilia. It’s very well preserved and displayed, it is a very unique and historical museum. The gentleman that ran the place was very kind and knowledgeable, gave me a very nice tour of the place and I took home a nice souvenir. I really enjoyed my time here and I would definitely recommend visiting this museum when in Florence.

(Translated by Google) I think a museum like the MUSMA was really needed! I just met him. In its size (certainly not huge) it presents a dazzling archive not only of the symbology from the 18th century onwards, but also a real cataloging of accessories, labari, garments and curiosities that reaches the present day. Rare to find someone who accompanies you (the Director), with eyes that shine with passion and supports you, like a private guide, with explanations and stories of great interest. The many other Masonic museums seen, are in any case partly aseptic (they only exhibit), even if they are sought after and with historical "pieces"....which are not lacking even here; at MUSMA I felt the added value, which is that of not being considered mere visitors who have purchased an entrance ticket; on the contrary, one is "guest" and I perceived this so much that when I finished the visit, I truly found the satisfaction of having been able to glimpse something more and different in the phenomenal world of Masonic symbology.

Wonderful place! The collection is private and the owner is very kind and available to respond to curiosities and questions. The path and the objects taken from rituals and otherwise are fascinating. For those who are passionate, they will find a way to delve deeper and get lost among the objects. There is also a gift shop. I recommend visiting it if you are in Florence and have some time to browse.

(Translated by Google) An essential visit for all the HH. ·. and for the layman, a multitude of objects, symbols, clothing, the entrance is modic and helps to maintain the museum that is private and does not receive subsidies, the very friendly and attentive staff will explain a lot of stories and anecdotes.

(Translated by Google) A plunge into the Masonic world, where all objects speak the esoteric language. Intoxicating unfolding of the history of Freemasonry in the times. I recommend it to everyone, initiated or not, because it is really exhaustive, with the explanations of the curator, who for years has lovingly collected every single piece.
