The day of the surgery arrives: I was fasting from the night before and the day I arrived at the clinic around 07.30. They immediately made me feel at ease. Chi conosce la Ginecomastia sa benissimo tutti i problemi che comporta, a partire dall’aspetto fisico fino ad arrivare a quello psicologico. Non sono mai stato sovrappeso, nel mio caso la ginecomastia era molto accentuata e in più asimmetrica. Ho vissuto tanti anni con questo problema. E’ molto difficile parlarne con gli altri. Negli anni mi sono fatto una cultura a riguardo, ho scoperto e imparato tanto, mi sono confrontato con diversi specialisti, ho letto nei forum, ho letto pubblicazioni scientifiche, mi sono confrontato con altre persone con il mio stesso problema. Ho cercato di assimilare tutte le informazioni possibili e immaginarie. Dopo aver fatto numerose visite prima a breve raggio, ho provato ad andare “più lontano” fino ad arrivare al Professor Innocenti. Qui c’è stata la svolta che racchiude più di 20 anni della mia vita con la Ginecomastia. Tutto nasce con una prima visita, dove il professore mi ha spiegato con estrema chiarezza e trasparenza come avrebbe affrontato la risoluzione specifica del mio caso. Umiltà che in qualche modo mi ha conquistato, soprattutto quando mi ha detto: io cerco di dire tutto, sia gli aspetti positivi ma anche quelli negativi. In modo da non avere mai brutte sorprese. Nell’occasione il professore mi fece visionare anche alcuni interventi da lui eseguiti. Terminata la visita, ho richiesto un preventivo e a seguito dello stesso mi sono preso tutto il tempo necessario per riflettere e nel caso avessi avuto necessità di delucidazioni il Professore si è reso disponibile lasciandomi il suo numero privato. A distanza di qualche mese confermo il preventivo, programmando così la data dell’intervento. Un mese prima dell’intervento il professore ha voluto rivedermi per un ultimo check. Arriva il giorno dell’intervento: sono rimasto a digiuno dalla notte prima e il giorno sono arrivato in clinica intorno alle 07.30. Mi hanno fatto subito sentire a mio agio. L’intervento è iniziato alle 8.00 circa e alle 9.15 circa ero già fuori dalla sala operatoria. Intervento con sedazione e anestesia locale. Mi sono risvegliato con già sopra il corpetto. Sono rimasto in clinica quasi tutto il giorno per osservazione, stavo abbastanza bene già da subito. Intorno alle 16 sono stato dimesso e rientrato in hotel. Il giorno successivo intorno alle 12 sono tornato in clinica per l’estrazione dei drenaggi. Sono rimasto circa una settimana a riposo, nonostante stessi già abbastanza bene a partire dal secondo/terzo giorno. Dopo un mese circa ho eliminato definitivamente il corpetto, devo dire che il fastidio più rilevante è stato questo. Ma assolutamente sopportabile. Non so nemmeno come descrivere la sensazione della prima volta che in cui ho tolto il corpetto, sono rimasto ore e ore a guardarmi allo specchio perché nemmeno io credevo a tanto, mai e poi mai ci avrei creduto ad un risultato di questo tipo. Ho quasi pianto dall’emozione, è stata la liberazione di una sofferenza psicologica che mi portavo dietro da circa 20 anni, non permettendomi di stare bene con me stesso. Ora, a distanza di circa tre mesi, le cicatrici sono praticamente invisibili. Il risultato migliora sempre più, io la definisco una opera d’arte che solo le mani di un’artista potevano fare. Non smetterò mai di ringraziare il Professore, il Dott. Melita, Dott. Ricci, Braschi, Isabella, Anna, Francesca, Marta, nessuno escluso per quanto hanno fatto nei miei confronti, impeccabili in ogni singolo passaggio. I am very satisfied with the cervicofacial lift + upper blepharoplasty done by Dr. Alessandro Innocenti. 6 weeks after the operation, the result corresponds exactly to what I had been told: a strong but completely natural rejuvenation. As long as the scars on the ears, which are already almost imperceptible, are hidden, no one can suspect the surgery. Someone said that my new haircut makes me look much younger... in other words the change is noticeable, but the surgery isn't. The most impressive results concern the neck and the eyes (10-12 years younger), while the face has gained 8-10 years, with a tighter contour and more compact skin (I am 60 years old). To date, the impression is that the facelift has not yet produced all its rejuvenating effects, in fact my face improves every day as if an adjustment phase was underway.
