I was very unsatisfied by my stay at Ostello Bello in Florence. I stayed in a room with 5 other people and all of our sheets were dirty upon a very brief inspection. The shower was disgusting and it had black mold in it. The shower also did not have great temperature control as it was either scalding hot or nothing at all so we had to use a different shower. The common bathroom downstairs never had toilet paper and was always dirty. The room had AC which was nice, especially for Italy in the summer. However, the staff always appeared to not want to help you if you needed help. I was standing at the counter waiting for a few minutes while two of the workers were just chatting casually about things that could had waited until after the resident was helped. I was surprised to see other reviews say they were friendly as the faces they made during any instance of them assisting me or my travel companions seemed like they did not want to be there. They have social events every night, which is wonderful. I love when hostels do things like that, but when I politely asked them to quiet down as 30 of my travel companions were trying to sleep at 11 pm, the lady that works there was incredibly rude to me and condescending. The workers were not respecting their own quiet hours. The breakfast was fine, as it was similar to other hostels throughout my month and a half long trip in Europe at other hostels. Of the 11 hostels I have stayed at during this trip, this is the only one I wish I would have stayed elsewhere. Poor customer service, dirty rooms, and bad vibes.

Stayed there 2 nights in September. Great location. Really helpful staff and customer services. Appreciated the key-less and secured system to get into the room. Activities are organized every evening, so I highly recommend for solo travelers. Won't hesitate to try their others locations in Italy.

I had a fantastic experience at this hostel! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, always ready to help. The rooms were beautiful and having a private bathroom was a definite plus. The modern amenities, like using an app instead of a traditional key, were both cool and convenient. A complimentary drink for every guest was a nice touch. The hostel's organized events made it super easy to meet new and interesting people. Despite the slightly higher cost, I would definitely recommend this hostel to everyone. My overall stay was short but positively memorable.

The best hostel I have been to so far. Rooms were clean (I stayed in private rooms). The staff were very friendly and helpful. You get a free drink upon check-in. Free coffee, free water, and free snacks sometimes. The hostel has a kitchen to make your own food. They also have free pasta for you to cook. Terrace was nice. The hostel has a bar and they have activities and events for everyone to participate in. Close to all the major attractions, restaurants, and markets. 5 min walk to the train station. Very friendly and social atmosphere. Def coming back if i visit Florence again.

My friends and I had a great time staying here! We loved the staff and the rooms were exactly as advertised. The price is so good for the experience, but do not have the expectations of going to a hotel. It is a hostel! It is such a lively place, and very accessible. Personally, I think bringing children would be fine and they would have a great time, but the desired guest demographic definitely seems to be young adults (20s). We had a wonderful time and I will definitely be looking for Ostello Bello hostels in my future travels.

I loved my time here. This was a solid initiation into hostel life in Italy, with the warm staff, excellent rooms, and generally friendly vibes all around! My only regret is not having planned to stay in Florence for longer. Come here if you'd like solid hosted vibes at a great location in Florence.

Ostello Bello in Florence is a great hostel for travelers looking for a fun and social atmosphere. The hostel is clean and well-maintained, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The guests are from all over the world, which makes for an exciting and diverse crowd. The atmosphere is perfect for meeting new people and making friends. The beds are comfortable and the common areas are inviting and relaxing. I highly recommend Ostello Bello for anyone looking for a great hostel experience in Florence.

Such and amazing experience ! The reception staff was just lovely and the atmosphere was just unbeatable...always lots of people in the bar area at night to meet :) The dorm rooms were surprisingly spacious and offered some privacy with in built divisions and big lockers that fit any size luggage. Enough bathrooms for us all. The location was fantastic, five minutes walk from the centre and the sprawling markets. An unforgettable experience to say the least !

I stayed almost a week in Ostello Bello Firenze and i had the best experience. Although I was in a 10 beds room, the space was divided in three smaller ones, so I had the intimacy you can expect in a 4 beds room. Kitchen is really great if you want to cook, there is a lot of free stuff you can use (mostly pasta) and it is kept pretty clean. Overall, common areas are lovely and you can easily meet people during the daily evening activities or just drinking at the bar. Staff is really nice and helpfull, location is perfect near the station and the city center. I strongly recommend this hostel.

This is hands down the best place I stayed during the entirety of my trip in Italy. The moment you walk in the door, the staff is so welcoming and accommodating. The common areas are set up so it’s very easy to meet people, and they host events that are truly fun. (If you feel cheesy about joining them, don’t! It was some of the best time spent during my stay.) I met some of the most incredible and lovely people that have changed my life for the better thanks to this hostel. Special thanks to Rhian, Molly, and Mia for being outstanding hosts. Stay here— you certainly won’t regret it.

Amazing staff, amazing vibes, amazing location and the rooms are very nice for the price. The hostel-planned activities were so much fun and there’s free food and toiletries should you need them. *However* I’m leaving 4 stars because it is the LOUDEST place I have ever rested my weary head. The nightlife around here is second to none so obviously some of that is expected, but I guess the walls are thin because it sounded like the people in the hall and outside were in our room itself. The glass recycling truck came by too (as it is wont to do at 5 am in Italy 🙄) so make of that what you will. Still, this is my new favourite place to stay in Florence — I’ll just be bringing Unisom next time 🤷🏻‍♀️

Wonderful people and great hostel! I kept extending my stay. A great place to explore Florence, and the perfect mix of social and solitary (when you want). I highly recommend. Thanks to all the volunteers who always had my back and were excited to be there :)

Located near the train station and near the heart of Florence, this hostel is the perfect place for a convenient stay. They use a neat locking system for the doors wherein you use an app on your phone rather than a physical keycard. One en-suite bathroom + shower can make it awkward to work around your roommates but it was clean and spacious. Mattress was a bit tough but there is good area to store bits and pieces around the bed, and convenient lockers. Buffet breakfast was great, and we got a free welcome drink at the bar.

As with all the positive reviews, I have to agree that this was a fantastic hostel. Perfectly located right outside the termini, a 2 minute walk! It felt very cozy to be there, and felt like it was my own friends running the place. I never needed to use any of their services beyond my stay in general, but I really appreciate all the amenities they offer. They have fresh cold, hot, room temp water to dispense at your leisure. Cereal and milk was free. They offered pizza as well made in house! The rooms felt safe to access. Please book your stay here.

I had an amazing stay here during my weekend in Florence!! Everyone was so outgoing and kind and made us feel at home and so welcome. My four person room + bathroom were very clean plus we had a cute little balcony right in our room! Downstairs, the bar + dining area was the perfect place to hang out and meet other travelers. Ostello Bello also had such fun events every night - karaoke, sports games, happy hour! Definitely recommend staying here and hoping to come back again soon!!!! :)

The staff was very nice, charming, funny, and helpful! The rooms were spotless and had their own balcony! I felt very safe here. The atmosphere is cozy and they have nightly events for all ages! 100/10 I want to live here.

Ostello Bello Firenze was an affordable and safe place to stay for a few nights during our travels. There were activities planned for each night we were there. The bar staff were very accomodating of my off menu order - an amaretto sour. The decor is bright and colourful. Breakfast was well stocked. The kitchen is well stocked with free ingredients and utensils for cooking your own food.

One of the best hostels I've been in my life, not only the place is gorgeous and well maintained, but the staff are so friendly I felt like among good old friends all the time. Their terrace is amazing and their kitchen is incredibly well stocked with free food for guests to use. I can't praise this place enough. I can't wait to be back, thanks again for a wonderful stay!

My favorite hostel experience in my travels. Stayed in the 9 person dorm and then a 4 person room and enjoyed both. The best part by far though is the staff. I have never felt more welcomed in another country and I was helped in both English and Spanish when I needed it. The hostel is also close to the train station which made day trips really simple. My one complaint would be that the bathroom was a bit questionable in the 9 person room.

It was a really welcoming hostel with a great athmospere, lot of activities and free food. The rooms were nice and you got good value to the money. It’s in a great location that is near to everything. I would only take into consideration that it is a party hostel so it can get loud and the rooms aren’t that soundproof. It wasn’t a problem for me as the hostel gives out ear plugs.

I enjoyed my stay at this hostel. Particularly that they had a water bar that was open all the time, I liked the environment of the hostel, staff was very friendly, I liked their software system that you use to open the door, and the room was very clean. My only complaint is that the blankets were quite thin but other than that I had a wonderful stay, thank you! :)

PERFECT PERFECT PERFECT. This is by far the best hostel I’ve ever stayed at. It’s located super conveniently in the city. It’s a 4 minute walk from the train station, 9 minutes from the cathedral, and 2 minutes from one of the major outdoor markets!! It’s super safe and clean and they even have activity nights and free dinners sometimes! If you’re solo it’s even better because it’s easy to meet people there. ◡̈

Absolutely lovely hostel. Has everything you need and want. There is a wonderful little terrace, a kitchen, a seriously fantastic breakfast and excellent staff. Every room I saw was clean and tidy. The ensuite bathroom was nicer than most hotels (and houses) I've been to. Ideal location both for town and the train station. I hope I get to stay again.

Probably my best hostel experience! The workers were extremely nice and they held lots of fun and cool events. The only downside is the hot water didn't last very long but I think all the positives outweighed that to deserve 5 stars still.

I've been in many hostels and this one is for sure in the top 3, if not the best. Everything was perfect, the room was clean, there was a lot of nice people and we just had a great time. The best part is the staff for sure, always smiling and ready to help you with whatever you need! I will definitely come back!

I also reviewed on Hostelworld, but this hostel was so good that I feel the need to review here as well. It’s well located right near the SM Novella train station (approx 5 min walk) if you’re taking the train in or out of Florence. It’s not far by foot from most major attractions (within 15-20 minutes usually). The staff is so nice and give you a welcome drink upon arrival. You use your phone to get into the room so no need to worry about an extra key. A wide variety of breakfast options available. There is also a bar which serves some affordable food options (mostly pizzas) in addition to drinks. Rooms were tidy. Bathroom and shower were good. Lockers were fairly large with enough room for my carry on and backpack to fit. Beds were comfy. Vibe here was super chill. Activities each night and bar downstairs for social times but also spaces to be alone and have quiet as well. Could not recommend this place more!

I loved my time here!! I'm a 24 yr old US female solo traveling in Italy. I stayed in a mixed 6 person dorm for 2 nights. 1000/10 would recommend this hostel for young solo travelers looking to make friends. Go to the bar on any night and you can start a conversation with people from all over the world! I was worried about the mixed dorm but felt very comfortable and safe!! Staff was friendly and helpful, and the hostel offered fun activities to meet new people. Good location too! Only thing is normal padlocks don't work on the lockers - you need a thin looped one!

Best hostel for meeting other travellers! I met so many amazing people while I was there, especially because to get to your room you have to walk through the bar and the common area, so every time you walk in you meet a ton of travellers who are of course also looking to meet new people so you just sit down and talk with anyone and everyone. they host events every single night to meet people as well. From the moment I got there are staff were so so kind, helpful and welcoming. The rooms are kept very clean and they have free lockers but bring your own lock. Honestly the best hostel experience ever, I can not rate this place highly enough. would give more than 5/5 stars if I could.

Easily the best hostel I have ever stayed it. The staff was fantastic and enthusiastic. There were loads of activities and opportunities to meet people as a solo traveler. They do events throughout the whole week and an open mic night fell on one of my nights there. The location is pretty perfect as well. You're about 5 minutes from the train station and less than 10 from the Duomo. You won't be making a mistake choosing this place. My only regret was not staying longer.

A fantastic hostel. Clean, modern, great social environment, friendly and interactive staff. I was traveling Italy solo and had no problem meeting people to hang out with here. Lots of other solo travelers. Free coffee is great. Free welcome drink is great. Happy hour deal is great. Mauro plays the best music! I was comfortable and happy during my entire stay. From my room I couldn't hear any music or voices from the common area downstairs so peaceful sleep was always assured. And location 4 minutes from the train station and under 10 to the Duomo. Great location. I'm definitely coming back the next time I'm in Florence. Thanks for everything! -Kevin

Really impressed with this place! My partner and I stayed for 5 nights and it was a great experience. Everything was perfect, from the room, quality of amenities, bar, location, and the staff were SO helpful with everything. Why pay top dollar for a hotel when you can stay at a place like this and get the most out of your holiday?! Will definitely be going back.

Ostello Bello is by far the best experience I have ever had in a hostel. The staff is very welcoming and super friendly, they make you feel at home. It feels like you walk into a family. Everything is set up so you make new friends real quick. They have a kitchen where you can use all sorts of ingredients and in the kitchen is one big table so you automatically sit together with people. Every night they have activities going on which makes coming back from the city even more fun! The city is within walking distance, shops are very close by, you have everything you need around you. All this makes up for some small points of improvements such as the hard mattresses and not the cleanest bathroom.

Hands down the best hostel experience I've had. I stayed in a four person bedroom and was comfortable. The room was very clean. Lots of space in the room and a bathroom just for the four of us, along with a balcony. The location is about a 5-10 walk to the Duomo, but its not on a noisy street, which is great. The staff were excellent. Helpful, nice, and fun to be around. I would definitely stay stay here again, and I'd recommend it to anyone looking to go to Florence.

Surprisingly warm atmosphere for a chain hostel. Well located and there are events on every night. Staff/volunteers were lovely and kind, especially the Irish guy ♥️ (forgot your name sorry). Drinks are a little pricey at the bar but there's a ton of free ingredients for you to use in the kitchen and free pasta every night.

This hostel is the best one I have stayed at, the rooms are very clean, beds are comfy and the staff are so nice to talk to, very helpful and great to hang around with. The location is unreal, it's a 5 minute walk from the train station and it's just outside of the city center but it's not too close where the street is busy and you can hear what's going on outside but not too far where it's a long walk, it's just right. I would happily stay here again, in fact I will be staying there Roma location.

The definitely hostel if you’re looking to one on Firenze! Staff and the environment it’s so nice, there are always events on night and they bring you a free welcome drink. Also you can pick hygiene things for free, fruits, coffee and also some pasta dinners! The location is perfect too, so close the metro for the airport and the train station. And the price is so good! :)
