A nice visit to the Accademia Gallery in Florence. Very easy access and only a short wait to enter on a Saturday. I had visited 30 years ago and it was just as beautiful now as then.

My wife and I spent our vacation in Italy, as we have done many times before. We took the first few days to reawaken our knowledge of Florence. We walked around the old part of the city. The statue of David (replica) is truly unique. But it has very large palms, so that it is necessary to know the meaning of why Michelangelo made them like that.

Obviously the statue is an amazing piece in and of itself, but I have to say the history of it has a cheeky element that I love. Apparently tourists coming by were dwindling in number and people weren't going into the museum to go and see the 17ft original, so in 1910 they made a faithful replica which brought people streaming to the square! Love that notice, copy a 400 year old masterpiece for advertising! 'It's nice to see that humans never change... open your eyes... let's begin.' Maoui knew what he was talking about.

So beautiful! We couldn't get in to the museum to see the original, so we really appreciated this replica, and it is in an amazing location!

One of the most famous (if not the most famous) statues in the world. Definitely worth it to go and look at. I also definitely recommend going at night time. Peaceful and not tourists at all!

Located outside in front of Palazzo Vechhio building. Great representation of the glory of original creation. Original sculpture is a masterpiece created by the Italian artist Michaelangelo between 1501 to 1504. Its a marble statue with a height of 5.17 m. Original can be seen in uficci gallery.

Looks really nice. If you have not that much time it’s perfect cause you can just casually walk past, make photos and then continue with your different locations.

It is a very beautiful statue and its great to see how well maintained it is. Definitely worth visiting if you are in the area and especially if you are not planning to pay for tickets for watching the original one.

The original statue of Michelangelo used to be here until the early XX century when it was moved to the Accademia and a copy placed instead. However it is of such quality that if you are short of time this copy can suffice.

For those who don’t need the real thing. A true 5 star replica statue. Couldn’t ask for a better replica experience (go see the real one though)

I visited most highlights of florence, the statue of david replica outside the ufizzi museum is remarkable, it gets very crowded from 11am. The resturants located around here are highly priced and charge tax.

The biblical hero David's story is a testament to the idea that greatness can come from unexpected places and that faith and courage can lead to remarkable achievements.

Masterpiece .......you have to be some sculptor to make stone look like real flesh and bone. The detail is amazing on this piece, and something else, you just don't get from photos this David has soul, when you are here, next to it...GREAT!!!

It's OK. The other states around it are pretty cool though and the square itself is really nice too.
