I went there for lunch today for the first time with my baby and the staff was really friendly and helpful. I managed to find a nice table and the lady that served me helped me with the highchair. The atmosphere was really nice, people were having a good time. I ordered the Green Burger and it was delicious. Definitely coming back.

Came here with my family today for lunch, and was really impressed by the food and service. Lovely staff, made us feel welcome, our food was delicious! My boy was very impressed with his crown burger. Most definitely will be back, especially for the price, and great atmosphere 👍

We decided to try the breakfast at The Black Bull in Folkestone, and we are so glad we did! Fab service great breakfast with no grease insight and left with full bellies! Now all we need to do is try all the other amazing menu choices! A clean and welcoming environment, we will definitely be coming back again with our family in tow next time!

Staff are good, although one of the woman was concerned because we'd ordered ice-cream with out a main for my autistic Grandson. Service was good, especially given it was busy with large party groups. Only thing I hated, and I mean gagged over was what they describe as sausages in the mixed grill, the rest of it was very fair quality but the sausages.....

I don't know what to fully make of this Hungry Horse establishment Some days I will visit and the food will be tasty and we will have no issues at all and other days we will have half the menu missing and unavailable, we'll get hairs in our food and cold food, some of the staff are lovely and polite but there are a few unsavoury characters working there, I was supposedly "banned" from the pub for sitting in the beer garden with my drink, I've been back many times since and it seems no one cares? It's very hit or miss You'll either have a great time with no stress or it'll be very draining and slow and not the best place to go to

I would just like to say that The Black Bull catered for my Brother's wake. The staff couldn't do enough for us, the food was amazing and brought out in stages to cater for the day. A really big thank you to all the staff. Many thanks Elaine.

It is always a pleasure to go to the Black Bull for food and drink. The manager Kevin is the nicest landlord you could ever have the pleasure to meet. The food is second to none, along with the service. The cleanliness is also at a very high standard. Once again thanks to Kevin and his wonderful staff.

The staff are always very pleasant and friendly whenever I've visited. The breakfast @ two for one last month was excellent. However, the Christmas vegetarian meal deal was extremely poor value for money. No raspberry trifle cheesecake available and the Christmas pudding brownie was tiny.

Took my partner there for are one year anniversary and she’s also 34 weeks pregnant and asked when I made the booking if they could make the table a little nicer for us. I don’t know what to expect or if they actually would read it but to mine and my partner’s surprise they did and hand cut out little hearts and put flowers on the table. Big thank you to everyone at the hungry horse the food was amazing will definitely be going back there.

Watched the football & enjoyed some good food & drinks with a couple of friends. We all enjoyed ourselves. The only problem was the game of football, but you can't win everything! 😉

Came in with my family, had such a great time. The food was superb. Fairly priced and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend if your in the local area and are looking for affordable good food with a friendly atmosphere.

Went for dinner last night staff very friendly and polite dinner served was very good service was brilliant just before we was due to leave there was trouble in the bar the staff was brilliant worried about out safety and the kids they took us out the back way so they kids did not see what was going and and made sure we got in the car safely. Thank you so much to the staff they could not have done anymore if they tried will definitely be going back, well done keep up the good work and keeping customers safe.

Food was perfect and huge portions, great value. Staff are really friendly. Great car parking. Best decision after getting back from France on the tunnel instead of hitting the rush hour with 2 kids.

Normally lovely food, they quite often run out or don't add something to your meal without telling you. Still always enjoyed my experiences here regardless, the menu is good and the prices are reasonable. Mostly find the staff pleasant, good idea to book if there's an event on or at the weekends

have been a few times now and the food is always outstanding,great price and good portions. For the most part the staff are friendly and very helpful. last night however the experience was slightly ruined by 2 female members playing around with what seemed to be sauces and kept coming out of the kitchen yelling. Whilst at the bar one of the women came over moaning and swearing about it and saying she was annoyed she wasn't getting to finish at 9. I get having a laugh but they seemed to forget they were at work and it came across very unprofessional. The swearing and joking was a bit much and took away from the calm atmosphere we love there.

We have stopped here a few times now on our way through. Really a worth to visit. Never experienced such lovely, friendly and caring staff as here. The choice of food and drink is great and we have never been disappointed. The opening hours are fantastic. You always feel welcome here. It is a pleasure to have a break here. Many thanks for the efforts and we are already looking forward to coming back.

5* service I’d say that I get from the team at the black bull. All so welcoming and attentive or your needs. Food is always hot and I often grab a takeaway and bring it home and it’s so good! The gammon sizzler is my absolute fav. But how friendly the staff are will always bring me and my family back. Thanks team black bull :)

Always a lovely welcome from all staff and a big smile I just used to go in after our choir on Saturday to quensh our thirst after all our singing. But I often go during the week with friends . Short staff let the service down, but even under too much pressure the experience was pleasurable. Our food was hot and served with a smile but the bar was severely short of staff resulting in waits far too long. The atmosphere was like the company was good, which is why the four of us would not be deterred from returning.

First and last visit. Came for breakfast, tables were dirty (enough that we had to clean them ourselves before eating). Ordered a couple of fry ups, toast was burnt, mushrooms were really manky and some other items were out of stock. Didn't seem to have any heating where we sat either.

Maxine and all the staff in today were lovely for my step daughters birthday. They made if truly special for her and I'm truly grateful. The food was lovely too and although they were cleary busy they found the space for us and made it a lovely meal out. This is my new favourite place to go out for food and a massive thank you.

Went to the Blackbull for Valentine’s Day and it was amazing, the tables were decorated with hearts,chocolates and a rose( which I didn’t even get from my other half!) We come here often and always enjoy it the food is great. But truly it’s the personal touches from the staff that make it. They take time to have a chat and make you feel so welcome. The manager Elisha is always checking everyone is ok including her fabulous team. Well done to you all. Can’t wait for our next visit

Nice restaurant. Food good apart from pastry on mushroom pie 🥧 which was very hard. Mixed grill very good. Generous portion sizes and hot. Very reasonably priced. Worth a visit

Food good and staff friendly a bit of a confusion over ordering a dinner we were told was unavailable was ordered and arrived anyway but a instant refund was made. Service a bit slow at times though they were busy. Severe lack of choice for anyone with a Gluten or wheat allergy. Sometimes patrons of the bar could be quite loud. Generally not a bad experience

Kevina and Wendy were so lovely and we had a lovely experience. My partner and I have been there three times in the last two weeks and plan on going there a lot more often. He always has the salmon which comes out sizzling on slate and a wooden board and smells amazing. And I had the fry up with extra toast. Food is lovely and out quickly. I have been dining at the Black Bull for many years, and I have always had lovely experiences here. The food is beautiful, and there is a lot to choose from on the menu, the food is cooked lovely and always served hot. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. Lovely Sue served us tonight, she went above and beyond to help us (a group of 5) to find a bigger table, despite it being very busy and an argument almost broke out at the bar with customers, she stayed professional, joyful and extremely helpful. She is a credit to the Black Bull and I hope the Green Man knows how lucky they are to have Sue as a part of their team. Thank you

Went as a family. Ordered 4 different meals. All cooked to perfection. Presented well. Staff all helpful, efficient and friendly. After boycotting our local hungry horse due to being poor, this one was a welcome surprise. We will definitely extra millage to go again.

Visited here today for light lunch and the baguette and wrap was amazing the salad was so fresh too, definitely recommend

We had a family get together with over 16 people at the table. Food was served very quickly and tasted lovely for the price you pay. The ice-cream was absolutely massive and great value. Well worth a try if you want a challenge. Biggest downside was no kids after 9pm which was a bit of a downer. Having brought 2 kids with us cut the evening short, but we was made aware of this prior to booking over the phone and the lady who served us was lovely, just gently reminded us that we had to get the kids out by 9. Overall its much, much better then your whetherspoons pub grub, and the staff were wonderful.

Whenever i go there, its always a welcoming atmosphere, and very friendly. The staff are always polite and go the extra mile for you and their customers. The food is of a good standard, and great value for money, with MASSIVE portions. Good selection of drinks on offer. Lovely place for the family or if you just want a drink and watch sports, you can sit in the bar. RECOMMEND A VISIT!!

We were a party of 19 people, very accommodating upon arrival despite the pub being a busy on a Friday evening! Food order was swift and the server was more than helpful and very humourous. Food arrived quite quickly despite the amount of meals ordered. The whole experience was let down by slow table clearance after the meal was eaten a lengthy wait for dessert and if you want a drink while you eat, don't bother the bar service was beyond useless!! Overall a reasonable experience but you'll leave thirsty!!

Not a regular visitor to pubs I found the food here very good value and fairly good. Staff were exceptional but the venue garden could do with a revamp. Did not sit inside so can't really comment on the decor there. They have daily offers so great for the locals.

Food tasted good but the service (though friendly) was very slow, we had a ridiculous wait after a starter for a main course and nobody turned up to clear the table at any point! It was busy when we arrived but not by the time we had our main course and the dishes were still in front of us when we left.
