This place is truly horrifying. Before you go, google “is SeaQuest ethical?” and you will get a list of lawsuits they are involved in for the mistreatment of animals. The fish barely have any room to swim, they’ve packed so many in at a time (see photo.) Look at the sad tortoise’s barely fenced in area on cement floors. And there’s a display of what our trash-filled ocean looks like, complete with poor fish swimming around… for what purpose? To abuse fish further? The animals seem so depressed, so neglected and so abused, even my carnivore-hunter husband was disturbed by it. The cherry on top of a terribly sad experience is that it smells disgusting in there. It’s obvious that the animal areas are not cleaned often or well maintained. The staff is friendly, however. My husband and I decided to donate double what we paid to be at SeaQuest to an animal rights welfare fund to clear our consciences. I used the opportunity to teach my daughter about the exploitation of animals. Spend your money and time at the nearby Folsom Animal Sanctuary where they care for animals that cannot be released back into the wild.

My family and I went here for my son’s birthday he really wanted to touch fish somewhere (he definitely got to do that)! I wanted to make this experience even more memorable and paid for two elevated experiences. They were well worth the price and we felt like VIPs the entire time. We visited with the otters and Syd the sloth. Our guide was Richard and he was amazing. You could tell he loved his job and really loved the animals, especially Syd! He spoke highly of Sea Quest and told us in detail what the other interactions were like which definitely made my family and I want another visit in the near future. I will say I was really looking forward to this but was a little nervous how the animals were treated and kept. Everything was super clean and the animals looked happy. Especially the string rays they were eating up the attention (literally). I spoke to a few other team members and they were all very helpful and informative! I would definitely recommend paying Sea Quest a visit! Also this place was enjoyable not only for the kids but as an adult I had fun as well really impressed with that aspect!

Overall, its a fun family trip experience. The fish and animals are always a pleasure to see. The best part would have to be the interaction between animals such as the fish, Sloths, Capybara, rabbits, chickens, and sea otters. Unfortunately, this year there appears to be a slight shortage in staff which does leave many areas minimally attended or unattended. The staff working made the experience amazing for what it was 👏🏽.

Sea Quest was AMAZING!!! We all loved it!! Young and old!! We did the deluxe tour and we got to feed and pet so many creatures!! The sloth and the cappibera and the stingrays were my favorite!! There are soooo many cool creatures there!! And our tour guide was such a fun lady!! Thank You Sea Quest for a wonderful day!!!

I'm only giving it 3 stars because I feel it's a little pricey, still worth seeing the smile on my son's face. If you have the extra cash it can be very fun. Lots of interaction with animals from feeding a toucan to petting a sloth or wallaby or snorkel with sting rays surprisingly alot of cool stuff in a small space just wish it was a little cheaper. Keep in mind if you do want interaction with the bigger animals you must make appointments. First time there but we will be back again! By the way my 8 year old is autistic and thus was a great activity for him!

We had a great time with my 20 month old granddaughter and family. There are many “feeding stations” for various animals, fish and birds. The bird area was really great. The guy inside working the area was nice and he helped with getting birds to sit on our fingers so they could eat. 🐠🐟🐇🐓🦥🦜Super fun!

Interesting selection of aquatic life and land animals. Kids liked it as did I. Cost 💲50 for 2 youngins and myself. Setup was nice and you have the option to feed most of the animals and sea-life if you so desire. Some exhibits are under closer supervision from the staff so don’t worry about getting eaten alive! The palladium in Folsom has always been one of my favorite local places to go because it’s beautiful all year round. I’ll definitely come back again in the future should they bring on some new wildlife.

Amazing experience fun for all ages. If you’re an animal person this is totally a spot that you have to check out. It was definitely worth the hour and 43 minute trip. Definitely am going to plan another trip soon. Went around 3:00pm and wasn’t busy at all. Had one on one interaction with most of the animals. Great prices. Staff is super nice and reasonable.

Really awesome spot to take kids to. There is so much to look at and to interact with. It’s very hands on experience unlike zoo’s so it’s way more fun. The staff is great and will answer any questions for you . They are very helpful and friendly. I don’t say this very often but it took me a very long drive from woodland to get here , but it was well worth it . My kid had a total blast and was smiling from ear to ear after we left.

So much fun as well as educational. I got the tickets so my 8 year old could experience some of these unique animals, but I also had a blast seeing them up close. The place is bigger than it seems, employees are very helpful, knowledgeable, and really care about the animals.

We love this place is great for kids, is accessible and good place to have some times with my family. Folsom sea Quest is bit expensive but worth it great value for your money. We had lots things to see animals, fish and retails items to choose. Great place to have time with kids.

This place is really nice, you will see fishes, turtles and many more animals. Also, they have animal feeding activity and it’s really interesting, I loved doing that. Just a suggestion, if you book tickets on phone call you will get good amount of discount.

This place was fun for the kiddos as well as for the adults. ☺️ It was definitely an educational experience as well as an interactive one for all. All of the animals were well taken care of. If you purchase tokens you can also feed the fish. Memorable place for all!! Will definitely return.

A fun place to spend a few hours, but definitely not inexpensive. All the up close encounters cost extra, but they did not lack for options. Our family of 7 shared 25 tokens and it was sufficient for the less expensive feeding experiences. The animals appeared to be well cared for and the staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Worth a visit if you're OK leaving with your wallet a bit lighter.

Bought a one-year membership. The kid loves it here. All you have to do is buy coins every time you come back. $2 a coin. A good place to go on weekends for the kids at raining day.

Really surprised at the amount of animals within the facility. Quite a lot to see. Also, that you can interact and feed some of the animals was another great plus that got the really interested and entertained. I only hope that the check-in process can be a little faster, other than that, a very pleasant experience for the family.

We enjoy Sea Quest and visit often. On this trip there were not many other guests so that was great, but we've been when there are lots of people. We got to interact with quite a few animals this time and the staff was amazing in making sure my kids were enjoying themselves.

We had fun and they are so nice and friendly at SeaQuest. What A great day to spend time with the little ones. My kids had a blast feeding all the animals and reptiles and birds. The Gift shop and snack bar is a little expensive but we had fun. One of the great things about this place is when you buy the tokens to use to feed all the animals they never expire. 🤗

Amazing creatures are there! I was able to contact directly with various animals that I did not expect. The fish are very active and enjoy spraying people, and birds come to people for food. There were some animals I've never seen before, and it's great to go with children. It is a good option to replace the hot outdoor zoo in midsummer.

We drove an hour and our boys had a blast. We bought the ultimate safari and it was worth it for a special day. Three mammals, 3 reptiles, and 3 bird experiences that included petting and feeding. Super fun and even this grandma learned a thing or two! Our guide was fantastic!

I came on Dec 4 with my family and we had such an amazing time. The staff are very friendly and attentive. Always ready to answer any question you may have. What made it special to me personally was getting to meet my all time favorite animal which is the sloth . We really want to thank Richard from the bottom of our hearts because he made that experience with meeting a sloth all the more memorable. We cannot wait to return soon. Such and amazing experience.

Great experience! Our three year old had a great time. They have a wide range of animals from toucans, wallabies, snakes, turtles, otters, and fish. Very kids friendly and the staff is very knowledgeable and often incite you into the pens with the animals which was a definite highlight. I would highly recommend going on a weekday to avoid the crowds.

It was very small, but it provided a different experience. We can feed animals by buying the tokens. Parakeets had the longest line. Though we were the only one waiting outside for Sloth interaction, the tour or interaction time for people who were inside took more than 10 mins. The two toed sloth didn't come out of its habitat. If you answer any of the two questions, you can get one or two tokens for free. There is a photo booth inside. It has restrooms inside and it's wheelchair accessible. The staff are friendly and helpful. Getting parking is very difficult during weekends.

Seaquest was amazing! There are so many more animals than I was expecting. You are able to interact with pretty much all of them. All of the employees were kind and knowledgeable! Sitting in with the parakeets and feeding them was so much fun! Can't wait to visit again!

I took my baby sister to this place for her birthday and we had such a blast!!! A really fun place to go no mater how old you are! I highly recommend! The animals are well taken care of and loved. The amount of positive energy that we received from the animal interactions it through the roof!

My famil and I went on this weekend President Day (Saturday Afternoon) and it was very busy. So be prepare for long lines. My 5 yr old had a ball. He loved feeding the animals. My 1 yr old was so so but I would definitely go back. Be prepare it is very hot inside. LIBBY who help with our tickets display excellent customer service. And JESSICA was wonderful considering how busy they were. She answered all my questions since it was our first time. she even extended additional help with my autistic son if needed. My only con was no one ever came to help us check out at the end my son wanted a stuff animal. We wait so long that his 5 yr mind shifted to something else so we end up not buying it.

Our visit was very enjoyable. There was a slight snag with our reservations but it was handled quickly and satisfactorily. Anna, who was our guide for the snorkeling experience, was great, as was our guide for the sloth encounter (unfortunately I didn’t get her name). The whole staff was very pleasant and helpful. We look forward to visiting again.

This place was awesome. It was my first time there with my daughter we ended up getting season passes and can't wait to go back again and enjoy some more animal experiences.

Super fun if you are three! But as an adult and a parent, I was shocked at how dirty and smelling and how many flies and filth there was. I mean it was fun but it was kind of gross too. Avoid on a Saturday. Too many people in the small place was kind of stressful.

What a wonderful experience! My entire family had so much fun. Tyler was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. He was very patient with the kids in the animal encounters. His passion for the animals really showed. Liz and Bailey were very helpful and friendly. They encouraged the more timid people in our group to make the most of their encounters with the animals. Such a great experience and we can't wait to come back again!

Ok update after the 3 hour wait. From a 1 star wait to a 4 star. Good time the inside wasn't as packed as waiting in line would come back on a non holiday or for a birthday event. The parakeet bird experience was awesome. Why a 4 star? Some of the coin feeders were empty so couldn't feed all animals. Over a 3 hour wait to get in on a holiday, I'll update my rating after we finally get through. Should've sold tickets by the time stamp. So there wouldn't be a massive line.

A bit stuffy with the HVAC not really working good. Had a wonderful time swimming with the sting rays and sharks with my Granddaughter! She just loved the whole experience. Staff is super friendly!

Took twin granddaughters for their 7th birthday. Paid for the Epic Quest, not realizing how EPIC it was going to be. We had the entire facility to ourselves for an entire hour. The "Whisperer" was very patient with the short attention span of the younger siblings. Very knowledgeable. Kept the kids engaged and on track. Did not find one staff member who was not friendly or helpful. I want to take all of my grandkids to experience this adventure. Definitely recommend visiting SeaQuest for your own occasion. It was worth every penny we spent. They had the best birthday so far!!

It was very beautiful fun, small and intimate. I would absolutely visit again! However I ended up booking a party package and paid for half the party room. The day of my child birthday party I show up and turns out the party room was double booked. Luckily I showed up early and was able to catch a good spot for my group. Felt bad for the poor woman that got squeezed between my party and someone else’s. Would visit again but I would never book a party there again.

My son had a blast!!! The employees were very kind and attentive, and the animals were amazing. I left my wallet there and Jessica found it and then went through Facebook to find me and I got it back!!! Ten stars if I could!

We had a great time here! Ana did a great job during our Snorkeling with Stingray attraction. My son was very hesitant, but she was patient, kind, and understanding. Shel even offered a private tour next time to help set him at ease. We will definitely be going back! Thank you Ana and Sea Quest!

Definitely a fun place to go if you've never been. A co-worker got me some tickets. She told me if best i got the tickets for free because you can spend your money on going to feed and interact with the animals. I ended up going a little later so my family and I were a bit limited on interacting with the animals so I suggest going early so if you're planning on doing all the activities you'll have time to do so. I would go again but I don't think its worth the yearly pass.

If I could rate 0 stars I would. This was our first time visiting and we will absolutely never be back. After a 2 hour drive with our 1 year old daughter we waited 5 hours to get in after checking in using the QR code when you get there (Even with our pre purchased tickets). We missed our animal interaction also, but that isn’t the part that I’m furious about. This place made me sick to my stomach, I am absolutely appalled. Anyone that’s visited with a heart and a tiny bit of knowledge knows and understands when I say, the conditions these poor animals are being kept in is HORRIFIC. Mammals, reptiles, and aquatics alike, not one single enclosure we saw was appropriate for the animals housed in it. These poor animals never see the sun, the building is dimly lit, the smell is horrible, the whole place is falling apart. Mammals looked unbelievably stressed, withdrawn and sick. Reptiles were very inappropriately housed (cohabitation and no proper light) and many of the aquatic life looked bright red from severe ammonia burns telling me their water conditions are horrible. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND how this place is in business and It needs to be shut down!!!! My one year old daughter is a huge lover of fish and animals and even she seemed to be upset the whole 35 mins we were in there. She has been to Monterey Bay Aquarium 3 times and the Zoo twice and had an absolute blast each time. But here? She didn’t enjoy a single second of it and I feel disgusted as a mother and lover of animals for taking her here and allowing her to witness this. PLEASE do not waste your time or money supporting this place and their animal abuse!!
