Nice place every good service. Once getting here, they will not seat you unless your party is all there. So make sure everyone shows up on time.

I get up early before work (Mail lady)to come have me some breakfast and what do you know! I left all my money and debit card at home! I will not last the whole day at work without eating cause I didn’t eat dinner the night before. Make a long story short, I came on into Louie’s grill anyway and told Louie ( the owner) what happen and he quickly said “ Don’t worry you can have anything you want!” Thanks Louie❤️

My husband and I took my sister here for her birthday. We flew down from Dallas, TX (the two of us are from Chicago) We sat in and had breakfast. I ordered the waffle special, my husband had the pancake special with a side of grits and my sister had the chopped steak with eggs. This wasn’t our first time here. I knew the food would be delicious. The waiter was very attentive and helpful. Overall, we had a great experience and will return.

Fantastic food! The Boss (my wife) and I had a Gyro, French Toast, bacon and Denver Skillet all of it was fantastic! We ordered a bowl of chili for my father in-law to go and he said it was wonderful!! The staff teamwork was excellent and everyone was was cheerful and friendly. The atmosphere was perfect. It was a busy Sunday morning and everyone was coming and going in all different directions, such complex unique lives all experiencing humanity differently but all of us coming together to enjoy some of the best food around. And if that’s not great, I don’t know what is.

Louie’s grill is great place to eat! The food was delicious. I had the sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich. The best breakfast sandwich ever! The grits were also very tasty. Our waitress was very friendly and accommodating. The ambiance was very nice. I would be a regular customer if I lived in Chicago. They would know me by name. Very impressed and will definitely be back.

Came here for Sunday morning breakfast at about 9am. Good thing because if we came any later we would have had to wait as we got the next to last table and the line behind us was soon starting to form. Everything about this place feels right. The food, service, atmosphere and even the clientele. You get the feeling you're eating breakfast with the neighborhood folks who come in all shapes, sizes and colors. Everyone knows each other and the waitstaff welcomes the newcomers as warmly as they do the regulars. I had the #2 breakfast special with ham and pancakes. You'd think that was real simple, but it is anything but. Everything was top notch quality and tasted divine. My partner had eggs benedict and the size of the Canadian Bacon was unbelievable, but it was tender, smoky and delicious. You can tell the sauce is homemade and the egg was set perfectly. The bottomless coffee is also noteworthy good. I usually don't go on like this for breakfast, but Louie's is that good. If we come back and have to wait, we will, because the wait will be worth it.

Good food, decent service. Got the southern skillet, crepes, French toast combo, and pancake combo. Only thing I didn't like is no substitutions and if you want something extra it's quite expensive. Would go 5 stars if it didn't cost to substitute..

Didn’t even want to give one star but for the sake of this review, let me just say we have been loyal customers to this establishment for quite some time. However today we were denied access to our regular visit because the kitchen closed a half hour before we got there. I do not understand if a establishment is open until 3:00 pm and we got there at 2:15 pm that should not be grounds to deny us a seat, they should put “no seating after 2:00pm” won’t be back unfortunately.

My Uber driver, Amelia, suggested this place so we rerouted here. So glad I did. The atmosphere and music 🎶 was nostalgic 60s. Nancy, the host, was impeccably detailed oriented. Thank you. I’ll be back.

My Mother and I stopped in while walking around Forest Park. It was our first time to try this Grill. My Mother loved the music and thought it was a great styled place took her back to some of her younger year memories. I thought it was a great concept seeing that most places are pretty much the same these days. We were greeted and was able to sit where ever we wanted. We got out coffee right away and it was filled several times without needing to ask. The menu had many choices and we decided on breakfast. The food was yummy! We will go back again if we are ever in the neighborhood again.

Excellent place to go and have breakfast, great food, clean , good service, food came out quick and fresh, nothing to complain about at all and this was 6 am. Good prices too, only paid $40 for me and wife and we ate great .

Great local diner for breakfast (eggs, hash browns, sausage - you know the drill [~$12]). The BLT is a closet pick for breakfast on the go. Crazy, I know. But trust me. It hits the breakfast spot. Also their white breat is great, nice texture and flavor. Park in the neighborhood south of Madison, if you don't want to pay for parking.

OMG I didn't take pictures of the food here... But I couldn't... The food is soooo good and tastes sooo fantastic that you won't want to wait to start eating once you get it. It's so worth the drive out to go here. The staff is Soo friendly and nice and the atmosphere is just so welcoming. It's an amazing diner, and I always love diners anyway. But the food here is absolutely phenomenal!!!! I am a big foodie and I'd be happy with just their biscuits and gravy... That's how amazing even their simple sides are. I visited Chicago, for only a short time, before the holidays and I had to go back to this place twice. And when I visit again or come back to live....I'm sooo going to be coming back here again and again!!!!

Local diner that serves breakfast and lunch. It was our first time and probably the last. Unfortunately not impressed by the food. We ordered eggs waffle and French toast. The waffle batter was doughy and not memorable. Over priced. Side of an egg was $7+. The interior is nice, old diner look. Seems to have regulars. Very rigid with their menu and policies, no substitutions, no split checks, no Apple Pay.

I'm not sure why I haven't reviewed Louie's yet! We have been coming here for years and we LOVE their food. We love it so much that when we moved 45 minutes away, we still continued to come here for special treat days. Their Texas Skillet is AH-MAZE-ING and their butter is delicious (random, I know). If you are anywhere near Forest Park, you need to stop in this cute diner and try their scrumptious food. Also their staff are super friendly and everyone here is treated like a regular.

I stopped here for a late breakfast with one of my buddies from work never been here before and I'm glad I went. It's a nice little diner feeling with all the good food you can imagine. I forgot my waitress's name but she was very professional very nice and on top of her job I did not have to wait for anything. I'm pretty sure it's a family-owned business and everyone worked together well. I would definitely recommend you try this place out.

This is a great place for a quick bite. The service was friendly and fast, the food came out sooner than we expected, and what we ordered tasted delicious with good portions, too. The only caveat is that if you want to take your time and relax, you should order it to go. There is a 60 minute dining limit. It's great if you don't want to dawdle, and the kitchen and service is quick enough to give you plenty of time to enjoy your food in that time. My water glass was never empty, nor was my girlfriend's coffee. Seriously impressed by the service and food there, and I will happily come back.

Fantastic! Everything we wanted for breakfast. Ham was great and Greek options looked good too!

THE BEST French toast I’ve ever had. It was buttery and crispy on the edges, and the rest of my food was cooked to perfection as well. This place definitely has more of a home cooked taste to their food, which I mean in the best way possible. If you want a change from the bland, lifeless taste of chain breakfast/lunch places, go here!
