Very special place with hot water coming up in the sea. To get here we took bus 1 from the port and had to get off at Panza. There is a 15-20mins walk on the streets first, then you need to take the stairs. The stairs are the wrong size, so it’s very annoying to walk down and up on them. There is not much space to put down your towel at the beach, unless you rent a sunbed. There is also no shade (unless you bring/rent an umbrella), so bring a hat and sunscreen! You can see lots of fish in the water, even without goggles.

A nice place to enjoy a rocky beach with thermal water. The drive here was not bad and there is paid parking in the restaurant where the steps start. Parking costs 3 Euros which I thought was not bad. The walk to the waters or around 200 steps downhill and it was not bad. There is a shelter by the beach but no toilets or other acess. There is space by the shelter area and other spots to keep bags, towels. We visited in May and it was not crowded at the same time limited good spots. There are only limited warm water/thermal experience areas. The rocks are very slippery and to get to the water it's better to crawl then attempt to walk as one is guaranteed to slip. My daughter and a few others slipped on the rocks, thankfully no one for hurt. I had to crawl, grab on rocks to sink a little into the warm thermal waters. The water is steaming hot to the left and not safe to go. Even the rocks by the shore were hot so it felt better to be in the water. There was a guy applying volcanic mud pack for a fees which I failed to notice until we started our exit from. Overall a nice thermal springs experience.

This place was highly recommended by our concierge, but we unfortunately did not find it enjoyable. We went on a Sunday in early June and it was pretty crowded. The bathing/swimming area is shallow with big slippery rocks, making it very hard to get in/move around. I'd definitely recommend water shoes. The small area where the thermal waters are was full of people and even when I managed to get a spot, the water was just kind of lukewarm and didn't feel particularly pleasant on a hot day. Also, if you're planning to take the water taxi from Sant'Angelo to get there, check in advance to make sure it's running. We were there a few days before the official beginning of high season, so it was NOT. We found this out after taking the bus to Sant'Angelo and then had to take the bus back to Panza and walk the 20 minutes downhill. The return trip up the hill on a hot day was rough. I can't deny that the bay was beautiful, but IMO not worth all that hassle to get to, and probably not a place I'd go back to.

Great place for resting in naturally warm waters. But it does feel like sitting in a hot tub with 11 strangers. Make sure to have a thorough shower afterwards. Be aware that its quite a walk from the bus stop to the steps and then around 250 steps one way. The water and view are worth it though. There's a snack bar nearby. Toilet available.

Such a unique experience. I loved this beach. Super hot, boiling in parts, so fun to awkwardly clamber over mossy rocks trying to find a hot pocket. I love that Italians have been doing this for centuries, it’s such a pure experience. There is an Ischian pirate man who will apply volcanic mud to you as well. I didn’t do this but people were enjoying his services. I thought the restaurant there was nice too. Water taxi from Sant Angelo is an absolute breeze. 6€ each way. Very simple. I had a private ride over. And the boats are doing frequent trips so very little waiting. Very relaxed. I like also that the beach is free, no paid entry, no umbrella rental. Just free nature and geothermal sea water.

Lovely place to go at night, if it’s hot in the day. I went around 10pm and was pretty empty. You follow the Google directions and then you head down the stairs, about 150, it was pretty easy, going back up after the swim is a little tougher but manageable. There are some bars to get food/drinks and it is well lit. It is basically a natural jacuzzi! It is shallow enough so you sit , lean on a rock while hot water comes out of the ground and the sea water refreshes you. It was an amazing experience and the stars were beautiful!

Absolutely amazing! Boiling water trickles out from the rocks into the ocean. Lots of stairs but so worth it, be careful though since the water can be very very hot and the rocks are slippery.

Baia di Sorgieto is a hidden gem with breathtaking coastal views. Serene atmosphere, crystal-clear waters, and lush surroundings make it a perfect escape for nature lovers. A must-visit for those seeking tranquility and beauty.

Good place to relax if you're looking to hang out in the thermal part of the bay. I have to warn that it is pretty rocky and the waves can be a bit rough on some days. I got cut up on my toes, butt, and legs from the large boulders in the water due to the current throwing me into the rocks. That's the reason I gave it 4 stars. The restaurant at the bottom is lovely, though a bit pricey food and drink wise but hey it's convenient when you're looking to relax. I didn't try the 10 euro mud face mask but it looked homemade and relaxing. It's a convenient place to come hang out at I'd you're in the area. Be aware that you have to descend 200 steps down and we'll it can be a chore walking back up after lots of sun and drinks.

Sorgeto Baia is a beautiful spot where a lot of the locals go. We were planning to get a water taxi from Sant’Angelo but it wasn’t running at the time so we ended up taking a regular taxi here instead. Although it is a crowded spot with a lot of stairs, and the rocks are VERY slippery we enjoyed our time here. We had all afternoon and took our time wading in the hot water. It was definitely a unique experience. I would recommend it to any first time tourists in Ischia, just be very careful and use the docks to get in or get water shoes!

Cool hot springs, there are some inside a grotto on the left, and warm mixed water close to the springs and the waves. I was there on a low tide as it was coming up, and it was a good experience. Not too crowded. Someone had a pale to fetch cold water and add it to the springs. Some of the springs were really hot, and it was a short soak, or you could put ocean water in to mix it.

Loved this place! Some spots were piping hot, others cold some just right. You will have to find a sweet spot. The little bar/ restaurant down there is cool. Good prices. The walk down isn’t bad. The walk back up is. Try to get a cab or take a car

Secret jacuzzi. On the day we went it was high tide and the seas were a bit choppy (it was March and low season). This meant the sea was not at all warm. However, some locals showed us that there is a pool of natural hot spring behind the fenced off area, just swing underneath and take a dip :)

Really not worth the hastle. The tiny beach is very rocky, not possible to swim safely. Strong waves are too strong to swim

Really beautiful spot for a swim - beware the slippery rocks though! Wasn’t too busy even though it was a Saturday in June.

Totally worth the trip! Bus #1 will drop you off at the beginning of a STEEP hill, you walk down THEN you get to the 250 steps. Not bad at all actually. Beautiful scenery, water is wonderful, can't go wrong.

Great experience! Buy some water shoes for 10€ with the nice life guard guy right at the entrance to the top bar area to save your feet if you'd like. You can easily chill here for 2-4 hours including getting drinks at the bar.

I had a day there coming from Sant Angelo with a taxi boat. It is nice during low season but can’t imagine how this place is overcrowded in July and August. Clean water , they sell slippers for 10 euro for entering into the sea with lots of slippery stones. I am not a big fan of this thermal hot water coming into the sea from the earth, probably I would have enjoyed it better during colder months. But the place is nice and atmospheric, sunbed is 15 euro that is fair for such a popular place that can fit not too many people. You should go there once.

Strange but worthy experience. A lot of people for rather limited space. Water is boiling hot at the source, so comfortable temperature spots are even fewer. And the rocks in the water are REALLY slippery, you have crawl most of the time. Better to visit in the evening when there is less crowd. The 2 cafés are worth every penny. A lot of people complain about the 298 stairs, but you have to be really out of shape to find them a tough climb. They are well made/maintained, wide for two-way traffic and not very steep. If you are tired after climbing the stairs, there are taxies that will take you the rest of the climb up to Forio for €10. A must visit if you are in the area.

It is honestly like having a warm bath in the ocean! I've never experienced anything like it. Definitely worth a visit. We went during the Easter holiday and the crowd numbers were minimal which just made the experience all the more intimate and enjoyable. And we didn't have to pay to enjoy the ocean.

A good experience. Very hot water from geothermal activity. So please be careful at the edge of the water. It’s super hot! We have to climb many stair but it is worth it. If you have a car you can park it close to the stairs (4 euro). If you are in other city inform yourself since I saw taxi boats, so it should be possible to visit it by boat (advantage: no need of the car, scooter or climb stairs, disadvantage: you miss the views of the bay from above)
