You would get better service from an inanimate piece of wood than you would at the Rice King. In fact as I was ordering, I felt like I was talking to an inanimate piece of wood. So...let's break this down: Food (1/5): I mean...Chinese fast food in the United States....so we are not talking the best of the best here. However, coming from Japan, I had a hankering for some Asian flavored food...or at the very least an American version of Asian flavored food. I ordered the General Tso's Chicken...which in no way shape or form is from China. Now...I have eaten MRE's out in the field...I have eaten Spaghetti-O's straight out the can...so I am not picky. However....your food should break apart when pierced by human teeth. I almost needed to go to the dentist after trying to bit through this....chicken....which was served cold. The rice....well geez...if the rice were king, there would need to be a revolt to overthrow the monarchy. I ordered a soft drink...all of the drinks' solution had run out or was close to it...so I had a very watery Mountain Dew...kind of more like just dew. Cleanliness (1/5) Again...I have eaten out in the field, used the same plastic fork for three meals...which I kept in my pocket for safekeeping. I think the rat from Ratatouille worked there and invited his friends for after hours parties. Service (1/5) Ah...the piece de resistance...service. Living on a military base, I do expect a certain level of service. It's not that I think that military members are due more respect, but I think there is a sense of service that is infilled on the bases I have served. The woman who worked at this place looked annoyed that I came in. She picked up the chicken to serve me...and dropped it in one of the other containers....she then picks it out and puts it on the tray to be served. Besides this, she got my order wrong and look irritated when I asked her for forks. And I really really think somebody needs to check in with her....she didn't look happy. Like I get not liking your job, but I think we might need to see if she is ok and if she really need to talk to someone. So overall....cannot recommend the Fort Belvoir Rice King. For a restaurant that depends on a contract with the US government, I think they ought to step up their game.

Tried this place twice now and my wife tried it separately and it was the same EVERYTIME. I believe in giving places a second chance and I’m sorry but no, never again. The food is NEVER hot always room temp at best unless you’re getting it fresh obviously. On a given day they’ll have about 15% of what they have listed available without having to wait, even during peak business times like lunchtime. The customer service is horrible. I’ve only ever been greeted with someone appeared rude, annoyed, or rushing to get you out of the store. It almost seemed like we weren’t wanted and sometimes order requests or just questions in general were blatantly ignored. Idk if there’s a language barrier causing communication issues or what but In total the wife and I have been there 3 times within this year and it’s the same EVERYTIME.

Ok I'll definitely raise the rating but I know it was near the closing most likely a few hours to go before closing but the food was over cooked and can tell it was there for a bit. I've been here before they are a fantastic and before the pandemic food was constantly fresh. I know they can fix this definitely there a awesome place on the base.

Service was nice but I don't understand how this place stays open. Food wasn't very good, limited options, and although the person working there offered to cook anything we wanted, we didn't have the time to wait for a freshly cooked meal. When Panda Express opens I assume this will shut down.

Food was very bad! I had fried rice, veggies, and two vegetable egg rolls….every single food item was BAD! Cold, flavorless, oily, veggies in the spring roll were slimy as if they were old. Lastly, I paid 14 dollars and some change just for these items.

Been here 2 times now. Terrible quality food... Each time I've eaten here the food was cold. Prepare to microwave your food if you choose to eat it. It's also expensive! Lastly was not impressed with the customer service. I got the "I don't understand what you're asking" for simple things like silverware and a bag...

This place should be closed and replaced with a business that cares. Horrible service and selection. Definitely shouldn't be on a military base. 1 star is too generous.

The food here tastes amazing! Despite being a quick stop for dinner, everything is fresh and tasty. We love it

This place is awesome. I don't see how the reviews are so low. This is literally the best bang for buck if you are short on time on Ft. Belvoir.

This place is a Panda Express wannabe. Food was actually disgusting. Chicken was dry and rice was burnt and chili sauce was bland. It wasn’t bad to the point of throwing away or returning but it was definitely not as good as a traditional American/Asian cuisine place that you can visit in the area.
