Didn't like the vibe i got here. Idk if race played a factor but they just served me and went on to talk to other people even if i wanted another drink the price for a shot was ridiculous so i left to places around there where i felt welcomed and the drinks actually were good and was on specials

Great venue for local music and about the only place downtown you can actually carry on a conversation over a drink and have a little elbow room.

First time at Poorhouse since going to Las Olas for over a decade. I like the chill vibes of this place and the bartenders are probably some of the nicest I’ve encountered. Definitely the perfect spot for the metal crowd. They have live music on certain nights I believe.

One of the best dives in ft lauderdale. Cold cheap beer, great live music, a big parking lot right across the street. Definitely a bathroom that you don’t want to sit directly on the seat lolol part of its divey charm though

This is a cool place to chill at. We went to watch some friends live performance in the later hours of the night. Very underground feel and we enjoyed ourselves.

Great place for live music with reasonable drink prices. Parking cost me $20 for 4 hours in the lot across the street

awesome venue for diy punk/goth/etc shows. the bartenders are really good people. the beer selection is great and the drinks are fantastic. if your band is playing here on the weekend, spring for the parking across the street. it's pricy but totally worth it at the end of the night when the streets are blocked and you can't get back in to load your equipment out.

Best dive bar in the world! And the best Cuban Sandwich in the 954 - hands down! From a Cuban.

Has a Very rustic look but it's very dull and variety of drinks is extremely limited the bartender was nice though

Great Live music/Dive bar--only one of it's breed in Downtown Ft. Lauderdale. Sometimes referred to as "Churchill's of the North." Bathrooms are an effort but not impossible. They got food now, but I can't vouch for it as of yet. No smoking inside, but the outside is pretty accessible. If you do smoke or just sit outside, you'll be treated to the best people watching and hijinx this side of World Star.

Nifty spot..Owner is super cool! 😎 Great Bar to chill late night in Ft. Lauderdale.

This is the best bar in Fort Lauderdale and the only one really worth going to if you are into cheap beer, rock n roll, and girls with tattoos. The place doesn't open until 9 or 9:30 so there really isn't any action until late (10pm or after), so it's a great late night destination. The place is a filthy dive but that is a big part of it's allure. Everything else in the downtown area pales in comparison. The back bar is the place to be on a Friday or Saturday night where bartender Tommy puts on cult horror movie classics on the TV and serves up great beer at a price so cheap it's unmatched in town. Great original live music by some very fine local bands several nights a week.

With inflation as high as it is right now I have found a new love and appreciation for poorhouse. While everything else may seem to be crazy poorhouse stays consistent with its great friendly staff and cheap but tasty drinks.

Poorhouse has been established for a very long time. Two bars, stage for live music, outside seating, cig vender.

The bar tenders that work here are some of the nicest guys I have ever seen and I have been going to bars for years. I'm surprised the attendance isn't always that high considering how respectful the workers treat their customers.
