1/5 Dean “Honest reviewer” N. 1 year ago on Google
I
hadn’t
eaten
at
this
restaurant
in
a
couple
of
years,
It
was
pre-pandemic.
Back
then
it
was
packed.
Always
had
a
45
minute
wait.
Never
an
empty
table.
This
should
have
been
my
first
clue.
As
I
walked
up
to
ask
if
there
was
anything
available
I
could
see
no
customers
waiting
and
I
was
actually
a
bit
excited.
It
didn’t
take
very
long
to
see
why
they
are
empty!
I
mean
empty,
not
one
customer!
The
hostess
explained
that
they
no
longer
have
any
more
snide
seating.
“Since
the
pandemic,
we
no
longer
offer
any
inside
seating.”
My
first
thought
was
the
pandemic
that
is
over?
Ok,
so
that’s
weird
but
we
are
here
so
let’s
sit.
She
further
explained
that
they
have
a
new
system
of
ordering
and
food
delivery.
Again,
all
since
the
pandemic
that
has
been
declared
over.
We
sat
down
and
our
server
approached
us
immediately.
He
explained
that
we
have
to
scan
a
QR
code
for
the
menu
and
to
place
amd
pay
for
our
order
ahead
of
time.
I
remember
that
is
how
McDonald’s
works
also.
We
ordered
our
food
and
it
all
came
to
80.00.
Now
I’m
not
a
high
roller
but
this
would
be
the
most
I’ve
spent
in
my
life
for
boxed
food.
The
amount
really
wasn’t
an
issue
as
my
memory
of
the
great
food
we
experienced
in
the
past
was
still
unforgettable.
Let
me
explain
what
I
mean
about
the
boxed
food.
The
food
arrived
in
a
basket
all
wrapped
up
like
I
had
ordered
from
DoorDash.
We
opened
the
boxes
and
were
immediately
underwhelmed
at
what
we
were
served.
My
wife
had
ordered
a
24.00
omelette
with
Serrano
peppers
and
lump
crab.
Our
first
impression
as
we
opened
the
take
out
container
was
wow,
it
looked
like
it
had
been
prepared
with
one
egg.
It
was
tiny,
I
mean
paper
thin
with
grey
crab.
There
were
no
peppers
inside
it
as
described.
I
immediately
sent
it
back.
I
don’t
send
back
food
to
“get
it
right”.
I
always
just
have
it
taken
off
the
bill.
But
here’s
the
deal.
I
already
paid
for
it
along
with
a
tip
despite
not
even
knowing
what
kind
of
service
we
would
receive.
I
ordered
a
BLT
which
on
the
menu
sounded
delicious.
It
arrived
in
a
paper
sack
in
two
halves.
I
attempted
to
take
it
out
of
the
bag,
it
immediately
fell
apart.
My
hands
were
also
covered
in
mayonnaise
now.
I
had
to
use
the
bag
that
it
came
in
as
a
plate
fro
my
18.00
BLT.
Immediately
I
noticed
the
bacon
was
beyond
cooked.
The
sandwich
had
no
flavor
whatsoever.
Even
the
mayonnaise
was
tasteless.
Oh
yea,
I
forgot
to
mention
that
my
wife’s
omelette
came
with
a
side
of
cheese
grits;
not
what
we
wanted
but
we
ordered
on
our
phone
and
potatoes
weren’t
an
option.
I
bring
this
up
for
a
reason
I’ll
get
back
to.
We
also
wanted
to
try
one
of
their
pancakes
as
they
were
amazing
as
I
remembered.
So
my
wife
opened
the
next
“take
out”
package
and
there
was
a
6
inch
pancake
without
anything
on
it,
I
had
to
pay
extra
for
syrup.
Yup,
extra
for
syrup!
The
pancake
was
actually
pretty
good.
We
noticed
that
we
didn’t
receive
the
side
of
bacon
that
we
would
have
ordered
with
the
omelette
had
we
been
afforded
options.
We
contacted
our
server
and
asked
for
the
bacon
that
we
paid
6.00
for
two
slices.
Again,
the
price
isn’t
the
issue
but
it
was
all
takeout.
He
arrived
quickly
with
(imagine
if
you
can)
a
what
can
only
described
as
a
paper
pocket
that
McDonald’s
serves
small
fries
in.
There
was
two
overcooked
pieces
of
bacon.
By
this
point
we
decided
to
end
our
experience.
I
asked
the
waiter
for
an
adjusted
check
with
reimbursement
(yup,
reimbursement)
for
the
24.00
omelette
that
was
pathetic.
So
he
came
back
with
a
bill
that
had
a
credit
for
20.00.
Immediately
I
noticed
that
I
wasn’t
reimbursed
the
24.00
that
you
had
ALREADY
PAID
FOR!
Now
I
asked
for
the
manager
as
I
had
to
discuss
this
with
him
or
her.
He
came
to
the
table
after
about
5
minutes.
Bear
in
mind
that
there
are
no
other
customers
there.
He
explained
that
we
returned
the
omelette
but
only
received
partial
credit.
He
snidely
responded
that
we
returned
the
omelette
but
not
the
side
which
was
not
even
wanted
nor
was
it
charged
on
the
receipt.
Without
delay
I
pointed
to
the
white
paper
cup
of
slop
and
said
“this
stuff
right
here?”
He
took
15
minutes
to
correct
the
receipt.
