We absolutely LOVED Fort Lauderdale Beach. I only have 4 stars because for as big as the beach was they didn’t have as many lounge chairs as expected but we were told by an attendant we needed to get there earlier. We arrived around 1-2pm. The parking at the beach was really quick and easy. I liked the covered parking it was only $5. The beach was not crowded which was perfect for us since we had a small baby and Miami Beach is just not family friendly. We decided to have lunch on the beach as the sunset and there was tons of restaurants to choose from some more geared for a younger crowd but we still found a spot at a more family friendly location and had margaritas and food. There is not much shade at the beach or at least the portion we were at so bring a umbrella, hat and your own chair if you can. The water at the beach was so salty so we didn’t go out too far plus the lifeguards were super strict about how far you could go out. Overall great first time experience. Highly recommended

I was visiting family and working during the week and on Friday decided to visit the beach to unwind and enjoy the sea. The shoreline was clean and so was the water- perfect! The afternoon sun provided the perfect heat to relax, capping off my mini holiday week while in Florida. If you visit in the week as oppose to weekend, it’s best because it’s less crowded and parking is easier to find. Definite must visit if you’re in the area and looking for some r&r time along the water.

Just a very clean and very quiet beach (Oct visit). Water was still warm and there are multiple places to rent chairs and umbrellas. The sand is perfect with lots of patrols up and down the beach. Plenty of places to wash the sand off of your feet and not overly saturated with unhoused individuals.

I love Fort Lauderdale beach. It has a little bit of everything. You can play basketball here, have a BBQ, swim in the ocean and so much more. Across the street they have a long line of bars and restaurants to eat and drink at. There are tons of different hotels and places to stay while you visit. They even have an outdoor mall called Beach place where you can get anything you need to enjoy your visit. I highly recommend this beach if you plan on visiting Fort Lauderdale. All I ask is to keep the beach clean and only leave your foot prints behind.

A wonderful beach - much more family friendly than some of the beaches further south. There are plenty of palm trees that offer shade as well. Sometimes there is a strong southern current, so be careful with small children.

A nice place to take a stroll along the beach and many spots to take a nice picture. There was also a place to use the restrooms along the path. Seen some people biking, eating at restaurants, and coffee places.

This beach seem the most reasonably priced. Plenty to see, do, and eat. I didn't get a chance to swim but if I come back this is definitely where I will be staying.

Absolutely recommend! It's clear warm water and low tides we're phenomenal. Very family friendly. It's also a turtle hatching zone. Which was pretty cool . Definitely check out It's live view as the tides and seaweed can depend on the time of the year.

The central beach for this section of ocean front. Personally I enjoyed my time here in the off season. Could see spending a long time here, with picnic tables & grills, volleyball nets and more. Just spent some time walking on the beach and caught a sunrise, even though it was cloudy. A great destination especially during busy seasons!

Fourth of July : I saw a woman that was crying because cops put a French boot on her car and were trying to tow it away for parking close to a corner leading to those private dead end streets. She was crying and frantically pleading with the cops not to tow her car away β€œplease, please, it was my only day off, I was waiting for this day for months” (indeed there was no β€œlegal” parking spot anywhere. Also lots of parking tickets on many cars. The FOURTH has become a day to enrich the coffers of the local government at the expense of the working crowd for whom the Fourth may have been their only day off !!!

A great coastline and a little more low key than the Miami area…at least based on my experience. Plenty of resorts and food options all along the beach. The sand/beach was not the cleanest I’ve ever experienced…take care of the beaches please!! Otherwise very nice.

Great beach gets busy during the month of March being spring break so that's a good month to steer clear. After that it is a great time to come down. City does a great job of cleaning up the beach. There's the swimming hall of fame down here with a great masters program if you're into swimming. Towards the northern end you have hugh Taylor state park. Great place to park and pay less for parking than in the city parking. You can park at the state park and walk across the 1 to the beach. Further down north you have spuds coffee amazing coffee and food all day highly recommend.

Great warm beaches, friendly people. Good food and great atmosphere. I love the downtown area it's very festive and bright. They had a concert in the OLas Park they were playing Christmas music. Then we went over to one of the restaurants and had dinner. We walked along the white sandy beaches, we love Ft. Lauderdale. Looks like the city of getting a good well needed face lift over near the cruise pier. Lots of construction going on over there. I can't wait to come back this winter to see what's changed. Walk along the beach side and check out some of the fine restaurants with different foods for all kinds of tastes .

Title: "A Serene Slice of Paradise - Fort Lauderdale Beach" Review: Visiting Fort Lauderdale Beach during my brief stopover in Florida was an utterly unforgettable experience. The beach, Set against a splendid summer day backdrop, appeared as an idyllic oasis far from the madding crowds, with its serene surroundings and inviting ambiance. As I stepped onto the beach, my feet sank into the soft, white sand, warming my soles with a comforting embrace. The sand was welcoming, perfect for constructing dreamy sand castles or lying back to bask in the glorious Florida sun. The ocean was equally magnificent. A stunningly beautiful tableau of clear, blue water stretched across the horizon, its tranquil waves lapping at the shoreline. As I took a brief dip, I was embraced by the water's soothing warmth and invigorating freshness. Swimming in this crystal-clear ocean was invigorating and relaxing, perfect for a soul-soothing retreat. The beach was a hub of numerous activities catering to different interests. From swimming to sunbathing, surfing to paddleboarding, and even kayaking - Fort Lauderdale Beach was a playground for those seeking adventure and relaxation. The sight of various beachgoers engaging in these activities added to the lively yet peaceful beach atmosphere. The thoughtful amenities added immensely to the experience. Showers, restrooms, and playgrounds were conveniently located along the beach parks, while various shops, restaurants, and bars were just a stone's throw away across the street. Although my time there was limited, it was evident that this place had much more to offer, promising endless entertainment and relaxation. My visit to Fort Lauderdale Beach was nothing short of magical. After spending a few hours under the Florida sun, I was left with a beautiful tan - a testament to my incredible time there. It was a remarkable experience that filled my heart with peace and my mind with beautiful memories. It urged me to revisit this sanctuary of tranquility soon. If you're looking for a destination that offers tranquility and a range of engaging activities, look no further than Fort Lauderdale Beach. It's a slice of paradise that will leave you yearning for more!

This is always going to be in my favorite beach. It is so beautiful out here I'm so lucky to live in this great city πŸŒ†. This place is beautiful all year around... Every 4 to 5 years we get a good hurricane hit but that's just normal outch here!!!.. Besides that if you come here you are going to love it, I promise you the strip is kept very clean by the city. There are so many things you can do from jet skiing to getting a boat any kind of way that you want to get on the water fort Lauderdale got you. Beautiful beach with awesome views during the Fort Lauderdale airshow! It was very clean, with plenty of trashcans. There are restroom and shower facilities nearby as well. All up and down the beach there are restaurant options just across the street if you want to get something to eat. You'll also sometimes find food trucks and other vendors as well. During the airshow it was very crowded, but there was enough room even with the large crowds to spread out have your own personal space. The only minor complaint I have is parking. When it isn't busy, it isn't an issue. But when it is, parking can be somewhat hard to find and traffic can be a little tight. Parking rates are reasonable though, and most times it isn't hard to find a spot. I can't wait to come back!

By far, my favorite beach along the Golden coast! I came here to visit a few years ago, and havent felt the same since... I have now currently decided to make this my home, and have not had one ounce of regret for doing so. It's a bit touristy, but if you look past the pricey restaurants, and the abundance of tourist, it is a dream place to live! With many amenities, and vast opportunities to build a wonderful life! Love it here, beaches are very well maintained, and and very clean! Beautiful views, wonderful people, and a great place to start a life!

My piece of heaven πŸ’™ There are indeed many beautiful beaches in the world but Fort Lauderdale is very unique. It is a β€œcity” beach that manages to feel vibrant and tranquil at the same time. You can enjoy a laid-back lifestyle or a very active one. Your choice 😊 Full of dining options and the right mix of locals and visitors.

The beach was beautiful. Bringing your own shade is highly recommended. The sunsets was the most peaceful thing I've seen in years. If you plan to visit come early or late in the evening as parking is limited and pricey.

Stunning beach with beautiful clear water. I've seen some of the most beautiful sunrises there. I recommend taking goggles/ mask so you can see some of the adorable fishies even in shallow waters.

Fort Lauderdale Beach offers a fantastic seaside experience with vibrant pubs and restaurants lining the opposite road, adding to the lively atmosphere. Enjoying your own food is a plus, but it's crucial to practice responsible eating and waste disposal. However, the parking situation poses a significant challenge, often taking hours to find a spot due to one-way traffic on the road. Despite the parking struggle, the beach itself provides a great environment to unwind and "you're not wrong if you bring friends" (YNWIBF). If you can navigate the parking hurdles, it's a highly recommended spot for relaxation and socializing.

This beach never ceases to amaze me. Lots of retired people. If you're going to look at babes and enjoy the sunshine , very little babes, lots of sunshine. Perks are that there's plenty to eat around and plenty areas to walk and adventure to.
