My daughter spent a few days in July and loved this camp. She enjoyed herself so much she wants to do a few more days over Thanksgiving break. The staff was very nice and helpful, if you are in the Ft Lauderdale area and want something fun for the kids to do check out this camp!

The kids love snorkeling and going swimming every day at Funky Fish camp. Sarah is so accommodating and was able to fit us in last minute. The camp is a real treat for kids and the counselors are very engaging. They do a new activity every day.

My kids did the day camp and absolutely loved it. Krystal and Sarah where the instructors for the day. They got to do tide die shirts, swimming and learned to snorkel. They were patient with my kids and left an amazing impression on them. Definitely utilizing them again. Thank you all for this fantastic program!

My 5 and 6 year olds had the best time at Funky Fish Ocean Camp! Beach swimming, snorkeling, skim boarding, the works! The instructors were caring, responsive and super energetic. The owner was exceptionally helpful in accommodating all of our needs. I'm a teacher and I'm very picky and these guys are top notch!

I love Sarah and Funky Fish! Sarah was absolutely lovely, patient and helpful in getting my son signed up for her classes/camps. I was concerned about the sessions down at the beach because my son would't go in the ocean with us and she assured me that there would be no pressure and other options. That weekend Trey went swimming in the ocean with us! The next session the counselor said she would never have known that he had been afraid of the water. Their patience, compassion and approach was so beneficial. Not to mention Sarah is really lovely to deal with as far as wait lists, and finding a session/day/time that will work for our schedule. I can't say enough great things about Sarah and Funky Fish!

This is one of the best camps my kids ever attended. I am always very concerned about water safety and was a little apprehensive initially sending my kids to a water based activity but the camp experience has exceeded all my expectations. Not only the camp counselors pay great attention to safety of the kids, they continuously monitor the sun activity as well and are vigilant about sunblock. My son, who burns extremely easily, never had any issues at Funky Fish and this is the first camp where he didn’t end up with a sunburn. My daughter, who is very shy and for some reason is afraid of the ocean, made lots of new friends and swam by herself around the sandbar! Kids even did snorkeling in the pool! They also learned about marine life and got to create a very fun and beautiful art work. I don’t know what kind of magic the camp teachers do - but they make my kids have an amazing time. Kids beg me to go to Funky Fish and that’s definitely a first! I highly recommend it!

Funky Fish was one of the unexpected highlights of our vacation--not only for our kids, but for my husband and me as a couple! We were able to catch up and enjoy a grown up lunch with the peace of mind of knowing that our kids were having the best time doing allll the things at camp. We received pictures of what the kids were doing during the day, and the camp counselors were kind and experienced. At the end of the day, we found them exhilarated and full of stories about boogie boarding and making tie-dye bags. Amusingly enough, the kids had such a fun time at Funky Fish that hanging out with family the following day was a bit of a let down! Looking forward to returning to Ft Lauderdale and booking with them again.

Funky Fish was a WONDERFUL experience. This was our first year attending, and it is among the most professional and well-run programs I've encountered. Our 4-yr old son loved it. He was not an experienced swimmer and had not spent much time in the ocean prior to attending. The camp counselors made him feel comfortable and he was able to enjoy things at his own level. Sarah, Tanner, and the whole team are extremely responsive and attentive. The facilities are great and everything ran as any parent would hope. Would highly recommend Funky Fish to anyone, and will be back next summer!

I cannot say enough about how amazing this program is! My family and I were in town almost 2 months ago so that I could finish my Open Water SCUBA certification and my children are still talking about how much fun they had! Sarah, the owner, went above and beyond to accommodate my very last minute request to place my 4 & 7 year old in her program, giving me peace of mind that my children were able to have their own special vacation fun while I was busy. The pictures we received at the end of each day were such a joy to have and created great opportunities for everyone to share about their day. Highly recommend this wonderful place, we will definitely be back!

One of the best experiences my daughter has ever had. I read one review about the instructors being bored, and all I can say is we sent our children to different camps. The instructors were engaging, educational one just finished her Masters in Marine biology. Tried several activities and different camp activities this summer and Funky Fish was by far and away the best. Joining my 8 year old on the open water snorkel trip was exceptional and the confidence she gained during the week was worth it all. Thank you to everyone for making this week such a special week in my daughter's life. Thanks to everyone!!!! We will see you again!!!

My older son started attending Funky Fish camp when he was 7 years old. He had so much fun and the experience sparked his interest in all things ocean including scuba diving. Fast forward 8 years and he has experienced his first dive, is planning to become dive certified, and is even interested in exploring marine science as his college major. Now it's my younger sons turn to have this wonderful experience this summer! Wonderful program, outstanding staff! I highly recommend for kids of any age!

We have been going several years now to Funky Fish and now I have all of my kids at this camp. This camp does not disappoint and one of the main reasons for this camp's success belong to the counselors. The counselors make every day an adventure for the kids. This year I had my kids at different hotels so they could be around kids their own age and the counselors rotated between hotels. When I dropped one of my kids off at a hotel and my other kids would see a counselor they had at their camp they would have to jump out of car to give those counselors a hug. I can't say enough good things about this camp and the way Sarah runs it!
