I’d call this a little hidden gem. You have to go inside of a restaurant and then there’s a hidden door that you need a code to which is located on the website or you can just ask someone for it. I went with my girlfriend and it’s pretty cool. They had great drinks as well and a nice ambience. The drinks look nice also. It’s a small place and has limited seating if it’s busy. If you want a cool place to have a drink or two before you go out partying this place is a great. Or if you just want to grab a drink with a significant other and have a low key night it’s also great. Just a reminder, they do not serve food. The bartenders are very accommodating and also made me a delicious mocktail.

Very strong drinks. Took us a minute to find the door. They were out of a few options along with the ability to smoke the drinks. We got the old fashion and the summer Romance. It was balanced perfectly. Overall good experience.

I liked the mystery if getting in by code. The drinks I don't know, ok. Ambience is just GREAT. Bartender was nice. Female DJ on vinyl night nice job. Floor space intimate, love it. Just add to the drink menu, I wish the menu had some bluesy sexy names, and more options. I did not enjoy my drink. BUT, will return.

Order a drink if you want a giiiant ice cube (aka water) with less than half of the actual drink you ordered. I took one sip & decided it wasn't worth it bc it didn't even taste good. It you visit, stick with beer.

Im not sure what happened to this place or who owns it now but the food was terrible. They used to have good food and a nice menu. It's now just bad bar food. My burger was straight from the microwave. This place is very dirty. I should have taken a photo of the glass above the bar where they make the beer. I would hate to see what the kitchen looks like. I'm giving 2 stars because the service was good.

Had the worst dining experience I’ve had in ft. Lauderdale and I’ve been here a while. Food was terrible- everything came out cold and seemed old. Pretzels were incredibly dry and cheese sauce was congealed and did not taste very well. Brussels sprout portion was tiny which was great bc it was extremely salty, seemed raw and too buttery but not in a good way. Lamest burger I’ve had in a very long time- meat had no flavor and was rubbery. Overall everything was expensive even though we ordered from the happy hour menu. In addition service was horrible and slow, we didn’t even get water until after we were nearly done with the food. To top it off there was no soap in the bathroom. Never coming back and I don’t recommend you waste your money and time on this garbage.

Without question one of the coolest cocktail lounged I've ever been. Set up with a speak easy feel to it, you wouldn't know it was there unless you were looking for it. The guy working was the bar was a true artist, putting his soul into every drink and they were all AMAZING. I'd move to Ft Lauderdale just to hang at this place, highly recommend you stop by if in the area.

We tried to call about brunch during the week before we went this past Saturday. No one picked up the phone so we just went based off what they had on their website- bottomless brunch on Saturdays. We arrived and were met with a “There’s no brunch today”. We said that’s fine and decided we’d just order regular drinks and food. We were not offered a seat or spoken to other than the worker telling us where we could not sit. We asked if we could sit outside but they reserved the whole patio so we asked if we could sit inside and then the worker slammed his clip board down on a table. Our group immediately turned around & left after that. We have spent birthdays (this was also a birthday), eaten brunch, & dinner there but we’ll no longer be returning after that. I’ve never seen a worker be so rude and lash out at a group of people for no reason other than the worker was stressed. 10/16/21 11:20am was when we visited.

Cool speakeasy in FLL. Door is not easy to find - but that’s part of the fun for a speakeasy, som I’m not gonna spoil it ;) You need a code to enter. Website (also its written in the door sign, which is a bit lame tbh). Cocktails are great. Atmosphere is amazing. Dark and intimate, like a speakeasy should be! Definitely recommend!

A kind if Speakeasy place in Fort Lauderdale with a very lounge-y atmosphere, darkish, relaxing and good chilling music. I am saying “a kind of” because to be a speakeasy it’s very easy to find, pretty much everybody knows where it is and often no code is needed, because they open the door for you. Cocktails are pretty good, well done, around $ 15, which is not outrageous in South Florida and actually is the kind of price you can find in any bar. They have sofas, small tables, it’s the kind of place you go when you need to relax and don’t look for big and loud crowd. I’ll stop again if in the area, it’s a nice place, different than your regular overcrowded bar and sometimes that’s what one needs.

We've come back here multiple times since we live around the corner & we really want to like it but the food is just mediocre. Especially the brunch food. They do have a good bottomless deal ($10 with entree purchase) but that's still not enough to make us come back for mediocre food. It's also pretty empty every time we're there & the atmosphere is lacking so it's disappointing all around.. We always find ourselves saying that the food could've been really good but its just missing something.. If the menu was improved and some fun events were put on there it could be a really great place.

A review by a cocktail fanatic. Ive travelled the world to taste the best of the best. This is not at all an angry review or me nitpicking. The bar presents itself as a place with creativity and top notch bartending. I will review it as such. If it was your average local bar, it would be a solid 10/10... Unfortunately this bar writes checks it's drinks cant cash. The Place - Lovely people very well dressed. I really liked the clientele and the music was great as well. It was too dark and I couldnt see my cocktail that was right in front of me. This was is a problem because the color of drink and any little touches cant be seen. Table lamps might be something to invest in. The bar is clearly too small for the amount of seats. Each bartender has to serve over 20 people which usually creates bottlenecks in service. The bartenders - Very fast and it seems like they are making cocktails non-stop. I wish the bar was longer so there could be four stations to serve everyone efficiently and give people a more personal experience. I feel bad for the bartenders here. If you expect to have a chat with the people behind the bar, you are wasting your time, these guys have to hustle to complete all their orders. Please tip them well. The drinks - Not good. Charging 16, 18, 20+ dollars for drinks and using sour mix is unexcusable. They need to incorporate fresh ingredients into their drinks. Squeezing lemons with that rush of orders is impossible, but day-of pre-squeezed citrus is vital to be charging such high prices. Shake technique is a bit weak as well (probably because sheer quantity of drinks to be made) I felt the dilution, air, and temperature was very inconsistent. The balance was all over the place with sweet, sour, and bitterness. Some of the menu drinks incorporated ingredients that were lost in translation, and some ingredients did not play well together. This place has potential. It needs a bigger bar, more stations, more bartenders, better lighting for the tables, fresh ingredients, better technique, better balance, better recipes. As it stands, for me it was a 7/10 ...for your average bar go-er, this is grand slam. As I said before, if this was just regular hole in the wall cocktail bar it would be a solid 10/10. In conclusion, I really enjoyed the people and the atmospher. This is a great place for peope who just want a drink and to socialize. Not for the cocktail snobs such as myself. I will return again, but I will lower my expectations. Sour mix has not place in cocktail worth over 12 bucks.

I can't say much about the downstairs area just that it's never been busy when I've been there. I headed to the upstairs speakeasy 'Unit B' and had a great time, you enter through a hidden door that requires a code to get in. It has a lounge vibe and it's a good place to wine down with craft cocktails. I stopped by late on a Wednesday night so it was a bit quiet and we got to chat with the friendly bartender who made our pretty cocktails. I stopped by later that week on Friday night , it was crowded and the age group seemed to be 30-40's. Cocktails are good but expensive, Ill have to stop by again and try the food at brasstap.

I loved this place! I have always liked the “speakeasy ambiences” so when my husband find out about this one, he took me there as surprise – and… made me find it by giving me very few clues! Of course, being a speakeasy, the place is hidden: to access it you have to go into another bar, find the stairs that lead to the speakeasy, and have the right password to open the door. The entire search was fun! We came here late on a Sunday, and there were only two tables free. Both the stairs (covered in red carpet) and the small room were very dark, but this particular was just a nice/proper addition to the ambiance. The place is nicely decorated and also thanks to their lounge music in the background, it feels very warm, cozy and it’s very relaxing. Their bartender was very friendly and he can surely make great strong cocktails! I would say their prices are pretty much average for South Florida. I look forward to be back!

Absolutely incredible experience. From the decor to the drinks crafted by Sean this has to be the best place to get a cocktail in FTL. Everything is crafted from scratch for mixers so you know you’re getting quality. The prices are more than reasonable for what you’re getting which honestly surprised me. Perfect to go out with friends or a date night Unit B is the spot!

Stopped by The Brass Tap for lunch and a couple drinks. The beer selection was amazing! Over 40 beers and tap plus countless others in cans/bottles. As well as a delicious cocktail menu. Outdoor seating is available to enjoy the beautiful South Florida weather. The grilled cheese pictured was delicious! Granny Smith apples, bacon jam, and ham. If you like good food and an amazing selection of beer, definitely give this place a shot while in Fort Lauderdale!

My rating is based on visiting on a Tuesday evening when only a few people where there. The place is really nice, cocktails were great, bartender/waiter was great. But not enough life to have a good time. It's probably way better when you visit with a bigger group or on weekends.

I’d like to say that anyone clicking on the website link on google be careful. It took me to a scam pop up ad and did something to my phone. I had to close all the tabs and reset my phone. The speakeasy itself was super nice and the bartenders were so kind. All cocktails are $16 but supposedly the last Saturday of the month they do Burlesque shows that are $35 a person and includes 1 drink.

This was a favorite place of mine for many years but a recent visit changed that. The new ownership closed the micro brewery that was here and completely changed the tap list. A bar that was once a place for wonderful atmosphere with great food and very unique beer selection has been replaced by one with only commercial beers and the saltiest nachos I’ve ever encountered.

Love this joint. Its a small little speak easy. Hidden from the rest of the world of Ft Lauderdale night life. Its dark, comfy, and has a very secret feel. The drinks are normally priced for a place of this class. They house drink menu is creative and delicious. They have a fantastic selection of bourbon, whiskey, and scotch. The bartenders are personable and professional. Its a great date night drink spot. It does have a dress code. Oh, you will need a code to get in. The location to get in the bar is up a set of stairs inside of Brass Tap. The code changes regularly. Check the website for updates.

My friend told me to go to this speakeasy and I was a bit skepitcal at first because I've only been to a couple of them in my life- and it's hard to feel that speakeasy vibe truly! But after I tried the corpse reviver (unit B reviver for those who want to try it at this bar) and seeing how the vibe and the lighting was set up, I could truly feel at ease in this speakeasy - include the music, the vintage furniture, and I was in heaven! I come from the Irish and this really made me feel at home! The viking at the bar (that's what he looks like, lol) really served up flavorful cocktails, and I was impressed. UNIT B, you're doing something right!

It was ok… bartenders made us feel like we was bothering them for making a unique drink…. The decor is nice the feel is nice but if I’m ordering from 7 drinks from the menu I rather go somewhere else…. Get better staff… customer service isn’t for everyone

What a cool and unique bar, I love this speakeasy. Everything about it is great. The best whiskey sour I’ve had. The bartenders are amazing ! One of my favorite bars in Fort Lauderdale, great music btw too !!

Secret ornate lair worthy of 1920s gangsters and casual romantic rendezvous Also the drinks are out of this world! They range for regular 16$ mixed drinks all the way to ultra top shelf magnificence.

Gabriel at Unit B Bar is a true craft cocktail master! His knowledge of drinks is unparalleled, and his attention to detail shines through in every concoction he creates. Not only is he attentive, ensuring every guest feels valued, but he also infuses each interaction with a contagious sense of fun. A visit to Unit B Bar isn't just about the drinks; it's an experience crafted by Gabriel's expertise and vibrant personality. Highly recommended for an unforgettable night out!

Not bad. Great atmosphere, but cocktail knowledge is sub bar. If you like to frequent speakeasies or are in the higher end cocktail industry you will be disappointed. I Asked if I could get a last word (common speakeasy cocktail) they had no idea what it was and didn’t even have a key ingredient for it. The “high by the peach” signature cocktail was INCREDIBLY sweet. Not bad but not my cup of tea for a gin cocktail. Their take on a corpse reviver was basically gin and lemon juice. Not good. Again not bad if you’re new to the speakeasy experience. However, if you’re in the industry or are a common speakeasy adventurer, keep your expectations low

This Speakeasy Bar in Fort Lauderdale is seriously vibin'! The place is decked out with velvet goodness, giving off cozy feels, and those warm lights just set the mood right. The bartenders? Total legends – they whip up some seriously crafty cocktails. The music? It's on point and adds that extra touch to the whole chill scene. And can we talk about the decor? Classic and charming in all the right ways. This spot's an absolute must-hit for a dope night out! 🍹🎶🕺

Review is for Unit B, not Brass Tap - Great cozy place for a night out with close friends or with a partner. The drinks are unique and very delicious. There is no beer, FYI. My only complaint was that the service was not the best. The bartender was not the friendliest. Other than that, great spot!

  • 3/5 Marsha P. 8 months ago on Google
The place is small and quiet. One male bartender was great and very helpful. The other wasn't so much. My friends were worried about telling her they didn't like the drinks she made because of her attitude. Some people tried to order from their table, but it wasn't allowed. Everyone needs to go to the bar to order drinks. The music isn't speakeasy but rather modern club music. Drinks can be pricey

I genuinely never leave reviews. I’m an easy going person and enjoy just about everything when I go out. The atmosphere here is cool, drinks good, but I’ve never had a more rude bartender in my life. In short, we ordered 2 drinks and somehow another drink got on my tab. I’m literally here with my girlfriend. After I smiled and said oh we don’t need the third drink that’s not ours, she insinuated it is what it is and it’s our fault. Really weird experience, handed me the iPad to pay without even trying to find a way to rectify the situation. Anyway, that’s that.

Great beer selection, but horribly inattentive staff. Food is mediocre at best. Server couldn’t give us any information about the beers made at the in-house brewery. The beer menu provides very little detail about the beers, and the online menu is very difficult to navigate. After three separate orders/attempts we were never received the correct order of tacos.

Their American Pub single with sweet potato fries was flavorful without being too much. Most pub buggers are a half pound or more which this was not which made it easier to actually taste the beef. Nice job. I highly recommend and the service was quick and i had no issues at the bar.

Went there with a friend on a Tuesday night. Not a fan of "trivia night" but the food was fresh, tasty and delivered promptly. Wide selection of craft beers. Easy free parking in the adjacent garage. Our server Nicole was super friendly and attentive.

Had a lot of fun here. Service was good. Plenty of beer selections. Had wings and a couple of desserts. Delicious! Plenty of TVs to watch sports. Smoking allowed on part of patio. Can't ever talk bad about a place that serves Shiner Bock. Worlds best beer, only served at the best places.

Went to watch the Browns game . The TV's were on different channels of the same game so one of the TV's was 2 seconds ahead of the others. People started cheering before we knew what happened, very frustrating.

This place is very cool. The vibe was my type of vibe. Relaxed and Chilled. Go to the website for Unit B and punch in the 4 number code with the # after and the door unlocks. You go up the stairs and let the fun begin. I heard about this place before Covid in 2020 and I finally got to go this past weekend. I will definitely be back. Very nice place to relax have a drink and unwind. Thank you for a great experience!!!

The music is so loud you can’t even hear yourself think. The food is typical bar food, nachos weren’t bad. They ask if you want a double or a single for a burger, just like Wendy’s does. Rather get Wendy’s you know what you’re getting and a lot cheaper. Very overpriced and overwatered drinks.

Do you like taps that are brass? Then you'll love this place! This place has more beer than your body had room for and they're all delicious. Their trivia night on Tuesdays at 730pm is the best in Fort Lauderdale or anywhere. There's also a secret speakeasy upstairs. Ask around to find out how to get in.

I went to The Brass Tap to celebrate a coworkers retirement party. I think this is a nice place to have a gathering. The drinks were discounted $3 off, as well as other items on the menu. I ordered the Boom Boom Shrimps which were delicious. I like the atmosphere and surroundings; the location is directly on Federal Highway which is easy enough to find.

We were here from Cleveland for the 1st Brown's game. This Brown's backer bar had some huge fans originally from NEO. JON, our server was amazing! He handled this huge crowd with ease!! Great food!

Worst experience I’ve had so far. Music is ungodly loud, especially with the speaker system half blown out, yet they continuously blare it so you can’t hear your own thoughts. Almost every menu item out of stock. Food is cold and microwaved. Take your business elsewhere, it’s not worth the blown out ear drums.
